It's always implied when you talk about relegation that you're talking in terms of having a chance of surviving.
 I hear you. But it wasn’t on this occasion, it was exactly what i put... 3 wins in a row to give us a comfortable end to the season. A ‘chance’ of survival would be anything but comfortable.

Like I said, you’ll be fine.....
I don’t think we really thought it was realistically going to happen but it’s easier to say when you’re not involved.

As said before the idea of the shame in being non-league is unbearable

I mean it’s pretty certain we will get nothing in the next two games, but it seems highly likely nor will Stevenage, it’s just so difficult to see them stringing any wins together.

Stevenage are gone but having been involved even last season when we were still arms length away I was stressed we’d go down so it’s understandable.

The only side that should worry is Macc Town because of off field issues but Stevenage are currently showing no signs of life and are bottom of the form table over the last 12.

35 points is going to be enough this season and Stevenage probably won’t even manage that.

Extrapolate that across the last 15 games and they've still only picked up 7, they're gonna need about 2 points a game from here to survive, only really Macclesfield who should be concerned with potential points deductions.

The good thing is seemingly everyone is happy for Stevenage to go down too.

It's another southern game for us in a very SE-centric league but Ill take it if one of the Brotherhood clubs make it up. Notts are obviously the best placed to do that. I'd be amazed if either Stockport or us figure though. If those scenarios more than likely don't happen, Morecambe or Macc please and you can keep Stevenage ta very much.

Nah, county have found their natural level eventually haha.

I’d rather someone like barrow or Harrogate come up

Quite frankly I think anything like that should be decided by us lot up here.

Mansfield, with the worlds oldest professional football stadium definitely belong in the brotherhoods version of the ‘UN security council’ with a special veto, that leaves four more available slots.

Adam 'Fountain of football knowledge' Stag, has nailed it once again, only took us over 150 years to find our natural level

Not the brightest lad is Adam, but A for continued effort.

FFS here we go again.

Any side that was in the FL BEFORE 1987 is in the brotherhood, so clubs such as Bradford PA and Barrow are still proud members of the Bros, even though they were voted out of the FL. Because the whole re-election thing was a farce, perfectly illustrated by the fact that the two aforementioned sides were kicked out while a club like Hartlepool sought re-election 16 times and not once were they kicked out :dk:

The reformed clubs a la Darlo, Halifax, et al are also members of the mighty Brotherhood organisation. Same club colours + same fans = same club. Easy enough to grasp.

What's not that easy however, is whether continually changing the club's name is a violation of Brotherhood rules. A perfect example of such dubious practice is the club affectionately known as Pools (from Hartlepools United FC to Hartlepool FC and then Hartlepool United FC). And what about the number of times that changes were made to the club badge, and that number is, if I'm not mistaken, 8 times.

I think we should reverse all these dodgy reelections... get Bradford PA back, kick out whichever tinpot newcomers replaced them in the league.

The brotherhood started with the formation of the third and fourth division split from 3N and 3S.

if we are taking about name changes then Orient must be up there.

I believe that is B2TFs version to give FC Halifax some kind of non league big boy relevance. In the real version, we take a more realistic stance of overall FL participation to qualify.

It was 11 times. 14 if you count Div 3 North.

Gone bust and reformed being the key words - they are technically not the same club.

Club badge is clutching at straws a bit, and why even bother looking that up. I didn't even know it was 8 times. Or if it is actually that many.

We've changed names yes but never been reformed. Like we say, overall number of seasons in the FL is the more modern indicator of status or not.

Vanni is a known REAL Brotherhood denier and an open Pools racist, as proven above, he's cast many aspersions against the REAL Brotherhood and has shown his true colours many times.

He is to be ignored like every other Boomer in society.

There’s a small section of PA fans who apparently still hate us for taking their spot.

Re-election was always a farce.

Good mate of a Rochdale fan who’s son of one of their former owners. He always mentions his dad used to go round the clubs with various wines, whiskies and the sort when Rochdale finishes bottom, and that was the whole idea, it worked for the in crowd but not the rest.

From Scarborough and warnock onwards, I’m pleased that system has changed

All ready bottom sides will have recent knowledge on just how fucking awful the bananarama league is and the ramifications of being in it, poor Stevenage

Talking about "the brotherhood" is the most tinpot thing I've ever heard. Petition for all the brotherhood to go get a room in the conference so we don't have to listen to them jerking each other off.

I can't imagine there's anyone who will be upset to see the back of Stevenage, is there?

We'd be losing another local game, and despite losing 4-0 to them this season they're one of the few teams that we actually have a good record against. So from that point of view I'd rather they stay up.

Yep, that brotherhood thingy they got going down there in the NL forum is the very definition of the word 'tinpot'.

I do acknowledge though that it's all #bantz and not to be taken seriously by anybody. Or I should say, I hope that's all it is cos I'm starting to think that just perhaps the Poolie fans are actually being serious? But nah it surely can't be..... ???

Thanks Soup. That's what happens when one plucks a number out of thin air like I did.

Gone bust and reformed being the key words - they are technically not the same club.

That's technically correct but I believe most fans consider the reformed clubs as a continuation of the old ones. See any club's twitter page or matchday programme every time they come up against a reformed club - why else would they say stuff like ''Halifax/Darlo/etc have not won a game here for 40 years''?

I don't have a clue is the answer to your question. Could be just the 4 times or as many as 12 times who knows. I certainly don't.

And you're taking this far too seriously brother Soup! ;) And please do come up asap, I'm yet to visit your lovely ground
