Humberside have us, Scunny and Hull, they usually do whoever is away on FM, one on AM and other on t'internet. Also have Rugby too so that can sometime push football onto net as well.

I would prefer to be on Radio Lincs with Lincoln City. That would leave two professional clubs on Radio Humberside. Better balance for all.

Chipmunx; nothing against Barrow it was just the games in the conference were always awful. I recall one 0-1 at Crawley where it was like watching a tennis match. One centre half kicking to the opposite centre half all game. Absolute sh#*e!

Watched Barrow against Maidenhead earlier this season and they play some really decent stuff. Also, stayed over in Barrow and nearby Ulverston is where the nightlife is.

We are 100% the worst team in the football league. I don’t care what the league table says right now, it’s only a matter of time before we slot into that bottom spot where this shower of shit belong.

Steven Pressley, the Osama Bin Laden of football, has corrupted and destroyed a team that were sat 4th about a year ago.

I don’t trust our board to strengthen the squad in January. Our only hope is that Macclesfield get docked about 15 more points or kicked out completely.

Dino Maamria is doing really well, especially considering the situation we're in. Unless something stupid happens (could well do) he won't steer us into non league.

Unfortunately I can't see past Morecambe for the drop. We're yet to play the likes of Macc and Stevenage but Morecambe have been treading water for years. The current squad they have just isn't up to this level and their tactics on Saturday were devoid of any clear plan apart from defending very very deep and hoping for the best. Oldham were terrible when I saw them but even they are probably streets ahead of Morecambe.

Ideally I want Stevenage down but I can't see Morecambe avoiding the drop this year. Pretty ironic really, they've always done a great job of avoiding the bottom 2 but the one year it's back to one relegation place and they've found themselves well and truly in the mire.

I'll update this and say that a Macclesfield financial implosion apart, Stevenage were somehow even worse than Morecambe. Absolutely carved open at will and have absolutely no end product whatsoever. 13 league goals scored in half a season is a recipe for disaster and I can't see washed up Graham Westley revitalising them and turning them into an attacking force anytime soon...

I see Chipmunx has prematurely ejaculated himself up to the League 2 forum already, amazing, winning the league at Christmas, unprecedented.

As long as someone like Halifax or notts county don’t come up I’m all for it.

Shows just how pathetically bad the conference is I guess.

I dunno about that - we've won 13 drawn 1 lost 1 of our last 15 league games - and the 1 we lost we had a guy sent off and that was rescinded on appeal. 2 points clear at the top and with 2 games in hand...

I’m not saying it’s bad because you’re top. I’m just saying the quality of the league seems to somehow get worse each year.

Chipmunx is in for some merciless piss taking if they haven’t mathematically won the title by the end of Boxing Day.

On the actual subject of the thread away from Barrow’s title winning celebrations, it’s obviously going to be Macclesfield isn’t it?

Any tinpotter will do though.

Where the fuck is Barrow? Is it a town or another one of these villages next to a motorway like forest green?

an industrial (shipyard) town about an hour south of Carlisle.
we joined the 3rd Division North in 1921 (the same year you - Exeter joined the South Division) and were in the league until 1972.

On a side note I’d love barrow to come up, thoroughly enjoyed the trips up there.

It’s so catastrophically bad there it’s actually pretty alright - went for the weekend once.

I like Barrow too, The Weatherspoons is brilliant.

We’re well in this now - our form is nowhere close to turning round and Limbrick will soon have permanent charge. Gotta hope the other 3 are just as shit.

I thought that defensively Stevenage were reasonable, today, certainly better than Morecambe and Carlisle. Though clearly Macclesfield and their travails is the joker in the relegation pack.

Chipmunx, what can you say about Scott Quigley, apparently we may be interested?
you can't afford him - he's on a 3 year deal at Barrow.
physically strong, great with the ball on the ground and strikes the ball early very well. For a big guy he's not great in the air - but i think we've maybe only scored about 3 headers all season as a team and we still have 57 league goals.
