....and then they beat Tranmere who had just thrashed the league leaders!I said in the match thread there's some decent players at FGR but they ain't working as a team and they don't seem to want to get stuck in and fight for the shirt.
Never say never but I can't see them getting to safety.

I’ve not listened to that yet, but the guy doing the interview is regularly a commentator on our iFollow and annoyies me with his seemingly wilful lack of knowledge. So by that alone this situation isn’t surprising
No defending the manager, lost his head a sign the pressure is too much. This Saturday is fucking huge, I’m bricking it to be honest.
Not many CB’s can bang one in from 35 yards so fair play to him.You should be. More of the same next Saturday would be nice
Yeah, shocker from Gav. Saw it live and thought he might have shinned it maybe? I'd have backed him over most in our squad to stick a big chance away.Has anybody seen Holohan’s miss from Saturday?
Fucking hell.
He puts that away it’s a 6 point gap plus some momentum from an injury time win and it looks a whole lot better going into Saturday, but now I feel the momentum’s all with FGR with 2 wins from 3 and given our recent horror shows at home I can only see an FGR win here.
We’re in BIG trouble.
The thing is though every time we have one of these encouraging away performances, I’m always tricked into thinking we’re starting to turn a corner and we then go and capitulate at home in the next game:Yeah, shocker from Gav. Saw it live and thought he might have shinned it maybe? I'd have backed him over most in our squad to stick a big chance away.
Plenty of positives to take from Saturday though, hopefully that's a corner we've turned. I wouldn't say I'm confident but I'm not bricking it, we've been in these games so many times over the last few decades it seems. I think I'm just a bit over it all really. I've got plans next Saturday and I'm quite pleased about not being able to watch it. These games are always horrible.
From what I've seen of him. I can't believe you let us sign Conteh in Jan as opposed to keeping and selling him in the summer. The bloke is magic and will surely go on to bigger & better than us. He never gives the ball away ,always finds his man. I certainly think he will be playing Championship football within 2 years and possibly go higher after that.Has anybody seen Holohan’s miss from Saturday?
Fucking hell.

Yeah, very up and down these performances, no exactly what you mean about them tricking us into thinking we've improved. We need to set up at BP like we do away from home against FGR.The thing is though every time we have one of these encouraging away performances, I’m always tricked into thinking we’re starting to turn a corner and we then go and capitulate at home in the next game:
I’m torn about whether I can go to it or not too as I’m working Tue - Fri this week but I always do my first night off as overtime and I’ve just had a pay rise so to go to it means losing over £170 but then I really don’t want to miss this one so not sure what to do tbh.
I think they'll have to beat us to stand any chance whatsoever. Their run-in is brutal too. They play Stockport, Crewe, MK Dons, Mansfield and Wrexham in back to back games from the end of March. I agree Coterill is a great manager for them to have in this fight, but I just think if we beat them then it'll knock the wind out of their sales.Forest Green will stay up under Cotterill having got themselves into striking distance already IMO, it's just whether it's Grimsby or Colchester that they catch.
Good to hear, but yeah he's gonna be some player. I don't think the decision was in our hands to be honest. We wouldn't have been able to sign him in the summer without the release clause, was a signing that was always made with the risk of losing him in Jan.From what I've seen of him. I can't believe you let us sign Conteh in Jan as opposed to keeping and selling him in the summer. The bloke is magic and will surely go on to bigger & better than us. That's not fair at all mate.If we go down this season, only one area to blame. We've had plenty of different players, managers and even owners, and still gone down, the only consistency is the fans. Blame them.
Partly agree with statement.I think they'll have to beat us to stand any chance whatsoever. Their run-in is brutal too. From what I gathered at the time you met his release clause so we didn’t have a choice unfortunately. From what I've seen of him. For us to have the wind knocked out of our sails implies that we currently have the wind in our sails though. My point is that I believe we can bounce back from losing this match and survive whereas I don't think FGR can, I think it will kill them off. There will be an almighty meltdown amongst the Grimsby ranks but looking at the run-ins and then the fact that we'll have two games in hand still (which are against a Wimbledon side who are currently eyeing up parasols and sunbeds and a Colchester side who are about us much cop as we are), I don't see it as being quite as catastrophic as it will be made out to be.Partly agree with statement.
But it is on Saturday night when situation will be clearer.
FGR with 2 wins would be 2 pts above Grimsby and it would be Fish that had their wind knocked out.
FGR with less than 4 pts would struggle to avoid relegation. (The teams just above them are all increasing their pts tally.)
And all the Walsall fans and every other club he’s played for…Our run-in is indeed horrendous. I'm not convinced we'll make the great escape, but it's looking more possible than it has now for quite some time. Having a proper manager has made such a big difference.
Osadebe has also been a great signing so far. Yet all the Bradford City fans said he was shit....
I still haven’t listened to the interview, but the interviewer was pretty much banned from doing interviews with the clubs YouTube channel because he was annoying Matt Gray. And Matt Gray has the patience of a saintNo defending the manager, lost his head a sign the pressure is too much. The interviewer did absolutely nothing wrong.
Agreed, our last seven games are Stockport (H), Crewe (A), MK Dons (H), Mansfield (A), Wrexham (A), Morecambe (A) and Notts Co (H)...all but the last game are against teams in the top ten, a run in from hell. Our run-in is indeed horrendous. I'm not convinced we'll make the great escape, but it's looking more possible than it has now for quite some time. Having a proper manager has made such a big difference.

On Saturday I said to someone before the game that we needed four points from the games against Tranmere and Wrexham, a bit tongue in cheek maybe...however, a draw against a faltering Wrexham, for the four point target, possible!
I watched some of his first match for you, and he looked so much better. Our run-in is indeed horrendous. I'm not convinced we'll make the great escape, but it's looking more possible than it has now for quite some time. Having a proper manager has made such a big difference.
