As our manager said, he is quite excited by our squad. With everyone fit, I agree with him and I think we will come strong but I do think he's writing off these first few games to be honest as I reckon at least half our first choice eleven are either unfit or out injured.

Good time to play us really. We've signed a couple today but not sure whether they will go straight into the team.

Our one hope is that Bolton underestimate us and we come out with intent. If we play like we're beat before the first whistle, like against Exeter, then it could get messy.
We’ve had a habit of underestimating teams in the past couple of seasons but I think this season we have so much competition for places that everyone is fighting to start. We genuinely have at least 2 players for every position without really losing much quality if they rotate and 5 strikers who all appear to be in form. We also made 8 changes midweek so we should be fresh. We don’t have any excuses really not to be pushing for the win but we need to turn up

I've just heard that our former player Gibbons is likely out until Christmas. Really feel for the lad as he's a heart and soul type player but he also struggles terribly with injury. We did say when he signed for Bristol Rovers that he's a great player when fit, but he's so injury prone. It was always a risk and it's kind of looking like a good decision by our management team not to push the boat out. Started the season well by all accounts too.

We were doing double and triple sessions in Portugal in 35 degree heat in pre season so I’m hoping that pays off for us over the weekend. Thank god for 5 subs though. I’m not really sure how it will go… If we do turn up and play like we did against Wycombe and for the last 60-70 mins against Salford after we conceded then I really do fancy us. But anyone can beat anyone in this league

To be honest our squad did the same in Spain though granted that was before we brought in the bulk of our signings. Think there’s always a bit of a danger thinking you can just pick up where you left off after a good performance as things never quite work that way but will say since you were in L2 you’ve recruited very impressively.

In terms of the team good news for us is Conlon got a full game under his belt against Rotherham midweek so to be honest I’d slot him straight back in for Garrity and go with the following

Stevens

Forrester
Smith
Hall

Robinson
Conlon
Walker
Ojo
Benning

Proctor
Harrison

I’d be furious if fitness is an issue as that’s one thing under DC we have been good at. Should be in a far better shape for this than recent weeks with an actual strike force and minutes in the tank for some key players coming back last night.

Five subs and finally depth in the squad. One thing we won’t accept is if we less fit than other teams.

Yeah big blow and feel for him, he’s one of our own and desperately wanted to stay but guess it vindicates the clubs position on his deal.

Hopefully it's a good time to be playing Dons. A very early opportunity to put a little breathing space, too. As I still expect them to challenge the PO's this season (do Dons fans agree here?).

Can't make the game tomorrow but will hopefully enjoy it watching iFollow. Attendance will break 25,000 with well over 22k sold by this time yesterday.

Some good odds-against in that list. Liking Accrington 11/10 at home to Burton and Bolton 6/5 at Port Vale. Hate to throw us in after last week but 13/10 at Cheltenham is still appealing.

A few mates of mine have already got on it.

I'm tempted, but I also refuse to bet for or against my own club.

I was very confident last weekend vs Lincoln after a strong second half performance at Wednesday in game 1. However, the game was dull as dishwater with very few chances.

Basically we've had two good halves out of six so far. But those good two halves have been very good, so I think we have quite a high "ceiling" as they say.

However, you have a good record against us and there is always a tendency to prioritise not conceding after a heavy defeat (albeit a reserve team). We've really struggled against teams that sit back.

Ffs we now have Gordon, Gibson and Gibbons in defence. Hopefully the opposition will be just as confused as us

Gibson won't play enough for you to get confused.

Looks as though the Paddock, Lorne Street and Railway are sold out again so thankfully last weekend doesn't seem to have put fans off and so should be 11,000-12,000 tomorrow, be great if we can consistently pull in 8k home fans this season longer term and have captured some of those from the run in and Wembley as that is 5 home league games in a row we have pushed 8k home fans (7k the Oldham game also just before this run).

My memories of the regular visits to Lincoln were from Conference days.
The attendance in those days was poor compared to now but there was always the drummer who played continually throughout the game. Good lad.
One of the last visits was on a Remembrance Saturday when the home management did the team, town and county proud. One of the best Remembrance service I've ever witnessed at a football stadium.

The rivalry between the two clubs was friendly UNTIL Danny Cowley became your manager. He installed an unpleasant 'them & us' attitude. In one of the earlier games during that time a trivial offence happened near the away goal-line. The FGR fans quietly shrugged their shoulders but one of the Lincoln players came over and very aggressively lambasted them. Whereupon and instantly the FGR fans became fantastical supporters in games against Lincoln.
I hope and suspect that time will soften the angst between the two set of supporters. The free water will be much appreciated.

Exeter at home who we have a truly awful record against, we’re decent and they’ve started decent so hoping for a decent game.

Weather will undoubtedly play a part tomorrow so stay cool chaps.

Looking forward to giving j brown a good reception, he was the only bright spark in a truly depressing season.

For us, it was never about FGR, it was about Cooper and that goes back to an FA Cup tie in 2008(ish) when he was at Kettering. Obviously Cooper and Cowley not liking each other ramped it up even further.

We've let two of the young lads go out on loan today so that must mean House, Mandroiu and Vernam are about fit and of course we've got Garrick as well as an extra body.

Suspect we'll see the five who were rested in midweek come back in.

Wonder if either side will make 5 subs given the heat?

You really do embarrass yourself.

Bet the rest of your fans breathe a sigh of relief knowing uncle touchy feely isn't about at games.

Now we have some form to go by, it looks like a narrow home win on that basis. Two quite tough games for Lincoln to start with, so they will surely fancy this one. For us we have shown a good degree of skill and some combative qualities, the latter you might expect from new starters. We still have plenty of optimism and each game allows us to bed in and hopefully get to grips with each other, rather then resting into a pattern that bodes well but inevitably weakens, drops off and concedes. On that basis, a draw should be within us from the little I've seen so far. Nil desperandum

Bit apprehensive today, obviously still gelling and not the ideal time to play these.

Oddly despite upsetting Bolton fans for some reason DC is spot on they are a big club with a big budget so it’s the first test of us against a club like that which we will need to get used to after being one of the bigger clubs in L2.

Should be a decent atmosphere though and with 11-12k and we’ve got to stick with the boys as it is likely to be a tough afternoon.

Bit of a free hit this one.
