Anybody know if there is much snow down Colchester and what are the odds of the game vs Mansfield being on this Saturday.

recent results suggest that Col U seem to be dropping like a stone, looks like a good time to play them as they seem to be out of form.

We had about 50 hours of non-stop snow starting last Sunday morning, but that was done by around Tuesday afternoon. Still quite a thick layer on most of the grass, the pavements are generally not too bad with patches of very slippery ice. The temperatures haven't really gone above freezing all week though with the feels like temperatures anywhere between -5 and -9, and they aren't forecast to pick up until Sunday afternoon.

The pitch will be covered and the snow on it will insulate it somewhat, but there must be a strong chance that it will still be frozen when they come off though.

I don't expect any of our games to be on anymore whether because of frozen pitches, water logged pitches, covid and also power cuts.

We just barely ever play.

I think a few more postponements and your lot are going to have to accept expungement. No chance will you fit in all those games.

Having another blizzard just up the road (I’m about 20 minutes from the Ewes’ ground). Absolutely no chance of the game going ahead IMHO.

Is that still an issue with no fans?
Bradford called the game off v Crawley as the surrounding area was, according to the ref !, a hazard to the players and staff getting to the ground. The pitch and stadium was said to be fine.

Otherwise known as "Hold on, we have better players just about to join".

Haha. The club were desperate to get the game played, evidenced by all the hard work of the staff getting the pitch perfectly playable. The decision to cancel was purely down to the referee as he was worried the Crawley team bus would not be able to get close enough to drop your players off due to a few icy side roads in the area

FGR v Barrow OFF. Frozen pitch.

Don't think many games will survive if a really professional club like us who hardly ever get games off can't get our game on.

Tricky game for us at Walsall if it goes ahead. Was an even game in the first half when we played them at home before we pulled away in the second half. Both teams have drawn a few recently, we aren't scoring many but have conceded only 3 in our last 7 league games. Should have Flinders, Lloyd and Smith back in the squad after isolating, plus Sercombe who played 15 minutes at Harrogate but probably isn't ready to start yet. 1-1 draw.

Ahhh crap !

I was confident Crawley were going to thrash Carlisle (he lied). An easy 0-4 win with our in form team tearing apart Carlisle like Lions ripping into Lambs (he deluded himself).

:woot:

Seriously, Carlisle are getting quite a few games backlogged now. It could affect their chances of promotion.

This game will be rearranged to Tuesday the 3rd of May.

How do I know this?

Because it's the only Saturday or Tuesday between now and the end of the season where we don't already have a game.

Assuming Cambridge don't also get postponed this weekend, we're gonna have 6 (SIX) games in hand on them.

YESSSS that's £10 and two hours I'm not wasting this weekend.

LOL at all this "area around the stadium being dangerous and hazardous" at the Valley Parade malarky, as if these people have never been to Bradford before.

I’ve received a push notification from SKY suggesting that our game against Salford is postponed. Nothing to suggest that this is the case - yet!

Onwards to Harrogate on Tuesday then. They've got a decent record of getting matches on right?

Apparently they still have had no electricity in Harrogate since it went off against us.
