It's your cup final presumably.

Notts are very good on their day but their are question marks in the big games. They were largely poor against us at the Racecourse, and made heavy weather against a vastly inferior Chesterfield and Boreham Wood teams in the play offs.

Also if I'd be pissed off if I was a Notts fan with their continual poor performance in cup games. Do they not want the money?

That said, I didn't watch today but I've been really impressed with Mansfield when I've seen them this season. Between them and Stockport for the mantle of best team in the league.

You presume wrong.

Fantastic performance by Mansfield, could have won by more. Notts created little and reminded me of us last season playing themselves into trouble.

Liam Williams at Notts must be under serious pressure now.

Would be nice to close the gap with County, although watch us lose 3 nil at home to Salford now.

I think the issue county have is whereas they look quality uptop, if you press and pressure them their defence and keeper they’re still conference standard - they’re a light years behind us in that respect.

For me they’d need to address that in january realistically.

They should start that striker who scored 50 goals last season

Feels like Adkins making the same mistakes by not selecting a protective midfielder. Crewe win the most likely.

Enjoyed that, especially seeing all the county/forest fans exit en mass on the big day out.

sarcevic is an absolute monster. Like a completely different player this season.

Hold my hands up I was ready to move him on if we could, but I’d say he’s our best player at the moment even if our strikers/Barry are taking all the plaudits

Think it's finally gonna be time for Mansfield to be promoted.

Seems mad that AFC Wimbledon were formed the same year Mansfield were relegated from L1 and Wimbledon still managed to beat them there

None of this Notts/Mansfield samba football shite on offer here at Blundell Park. Back to some proper League 2 stuff. Paul Hurst vs John Coleman (I'm assuming, haven't actually checked but he is usually their manager?). Lots of long balls, lots of running around and a distinct lack of chances.

He's been 8/10 minimum almost every game this season.

This is why you can't trust that WhoScored/spreadsheet wanker stuff, they'd say it's Barry or Horsfall who are best performers (don't get me wrong, they've been superb) but it's Sarc who has been utterly crucial to our form

Thirty minutes into our game vs Wimbledon and the quality is atrocious.

You've got say, this thread would be unbearable if Mansfield fans cared about Notts.

Really poor second half, as I said at half time Slocombe's distribution really had a big impact and losing Bostock doesn't help with our already poor set piece defending. Mansfield good value for the win and the scoreline, it's not really a L2 season until we fail to turn up against them.

Think the comments about recruitment here are fair, whilst I think Brindley has been mostly fine this season we are paper thin in CM (Bajrami injury hasn't helped but I'm not convinced he was going to make the step up) and the fact that the two lads on loan aren't making a case to play ahead of Rawlinson, who isn't good enough, says a lot.

Can't score for shit, can't defend. Sooner we get across 50 points the better.

Seems to be a running theme, as the Alex v Tranmere is lacking in quality too.

Still, solid enough first half, got another goal from Demetriou, his 5th of the season. Dominated the first 20, but looked shaky in the last 15. Tranmere have had one decent chance which Davies did well to save. Going to need a 2nd to kill this one. No reason to throw this away though, got to see out the result.

Yeah no other team has thought to press us this season…
