The two worst teams in the football league are now in their rightful places.

Skelton proved today that he’s just more of the same as beech. We’d 100% go down if Beech or Skelton were in charge till May. We have to get this next manager appointment right.

That was fucking shameful by the ref and Forest Green.

We put up a really good fight but the game was changed by a terrible penalty decision. How Jamille Matt and their number 18 stayed on the pitch is beyond me, we will now be missing our captain cause he was elbowedd in the eye and we didn't even get a free kick for it.

I hope for FGR fans sake they don't play like that every week as it was fucking tiring. The constant diving, surrounding and berating the referee and the pushing opposition players off the ball. It was just so awful to watch.

Thought the ref ruined what was a good competitive game between us and Walsall, I don't like blaming refs as its the easy way out, but he ruined that game IMO. He missed so many fouls on us and gave so many soft ones against us in the first half. His decision to award a free kick against Paul Smyth for turning his opponent was bizzare and he missed a few shirt pulls we pulled off in the second half. All in all IMO he got in both sets of players heads with his decision making and the game was destined to finish 0-0 which was probably fair - But Walsall had 3 oppotunities in the second half to take the lead but I thought they were a bit too careless in the final third all game.

5 clean sheets from 6 home games for us, overall I like how we're able to withstand sticky periods in games and cope with pressure. Right now we're just forcing the matter too much in attacking areas IMO, more calm is needed. Our switch to 4-4-2 did open the game up and it took us 20mins to settle into it having played with a back 3 for most of our games, Jackett gambled and it nearly backfired a bit I thought.

Walsall defended well for most of the game, Monthe in particular played well. Thought they lacked that ruthlessness you need up front though.

Game likely to be remembered for an incompetent ref though, always looked destined to finish 0-0.

Robbed. A game that should have been over at half time. Piss poor game management from Adams in the last twenty. Happy for Cook to get a goal. Would like to see the replay of the third we had disallowed too. Wasn't paying attention! Ridehalgh went off and I'm praying he'll be back soon; Foulds isn't up to league standard.

Big worry that Rovers were one of the worst sides I've seen just not this season but perhaps in all the time I've been going to City and we couldn't beat them. Horrible little side too. Like to think I come across fairly balanced in my post-game thoughts, but they were genuinely poor. Didn't deserve anything at all.

We should've been out of sight at HT. Bristol Rovers were easily the worst side we've played this season and should've had a man sent off for a terrible challenge on O'Donnell.

Problem for us is that we tired in the last 20 but our bench is so bad that we couldn't bring anyone half decent on to freshen it up.

Decent first half - should have put the game to bed. Shambolic in the 2nd half. I think our previous few games had gone to the players heads and thought all they had to do was turn up.

Garner got his subs all wrong. Glad of a point in the end.

Typical when we get well over 9000 fans in.

Pathetic, I wouldn’t say robbed because we can only blame ourselves for not taking any chances, AGAIN, and conceding pretty much the only shots they had. Should’ve been game over at half time, 3-0 minimum and even that goal we scored was a rebound, second half we sat back and sat back and once again concede at the death - if he’s no intention of attacking when we’re in front then why the Scales sub? Get Canavan on and move Songo’o back into midfield. An absolute gimme against probably the poorest team we’ve played this season and we’re still not good enough to finish them off, cut copy and paste this for next week.

They did exactly the same against us last season, dived for a pen and spent the whole game on the floor and that was against our dogshit team that was probably just as crap as your lot currently are.

Bit half and half there for me. I’d have taken a point before the game, but having watched it really need to put those chances away. It’s not the first time this season. Wilkinson, Labadie and Mayo all had good chances.

Thought we played well in spells, but if were going to recover from our bad start we now need to win games we are on top in, home or away.

Have noticed Edwards is gradually helping us build back up our shithousery after a quiet start on that front, was worried given his background at the FA/youth football we might be a bit naive but seems we’re still more then capable of mixing it when we need to.

Had a feeling earlier in the week it was going to be a Carlisle player to score our first away goal of the season. Even when Tranmere had a chance to score one for themselves, Morris go’s and misses a penalty.

Yes and no re the point about the subs. I wouldn't have taken McKirdy off as he looked our biggest threat but KKH was excellent when he came on and Williams got the equaliser.

Yes, my response was definitely the comment to pick up on, not the original from Andy proctor.

Some bizarre stuff on here sometimes.

Not sure who you are aiming this at but personally I called out Andy's comment which was way out of line and yours which was ridiculous.

We were a bit flat first half with no pace and Barrow absolutely worked their nuts off, we just never had time on the ball. Good strike from the free kick but it seemed to go straight through our wall and our keeper.

Second half, like many teams that play on these tight pitches, Barrow just weren't fit enough to keep up on our large pitch and in the end our extra ability and fitness shone through.

We weren't scintillating second half but we just look a lot better than most teams and we score most of our goals from open play. That's 9 goals in 3 games. Our team is littered with decent footballers with a good touch, which makes a big difference in this league.

Last week was just one of those days. Play that game again 100 times and we win 99 of them, so it was good to bounce back. Watch us give Mansfield a helping hand on Tuesday!

I totally agree that the comments were completely uncalled for.

Not every vale fan lives in Burslem by the way. I live about 5 miles away on the edge of the peak district and it's bloody gorgeous, far superior to Leytonstone in every way.

Yes, Burslem has seen better days but so have many parts of east London.

Just gash from Pools, no redeeming feature whatsoever. Can't even say that Salford didn't allow us to.play. they were pretty damed ordinary too, and I'm certain they can play far better. They were still way better than us and deserved their win all day long. We had plenty of the ball but I can't remember a Pools side conceding possession so frequently and so easily for quite some time. We have some truly hideous options up front.

I'd say this is the second mini-crisis of Dave Challinor's tenure at the Vic. His response to the first was superb. Over to you Dave. Good luck.
He,s going to need more than luck, That was embarassing and I,m being polite when stating that.
Surely Salford are better than that with the squad they have, because we really
were poor.

Well personally if anyone has even the smallest dig at FGR, especially if we’ve just conceded I immediately get so irate I start windmilling left right and centre and wanna blow their whole county up.

So Andy Proctor’s reaction was probably understandable tbf…..

We were nothing short of a disgrace today. Almost half the crowd we had and they're not getting what they deserve. Work rate was poor, no confidence, really bad strikers, unsure defence. And what in the hell system were we playing? Ogle as winger? Fucking hell never again please.

Gotta be careful this doesn't start affecting home form 'cos if it does, we could be in for a tough time.

We are absolute gash away from The Vic, you really should be beating us.

Going to be just our luck that Mansfield sack Clough and get the new manager bounce ahead of Tuesday.

I actually wouldn't do that if I was them (and not just selfishly from a Vale perspective) as just seems to follow the same pattern each season and they get no further forward.

They've been like that since we started playing them in non league, in pretty much every game we've had. They're actually better than they used to be, my mrs still affectionately calls them "The Shits" since I dragged her to a game against them a number of years back :gr:

I remember one incident in the playoff final where they had a player down (again)... the ref gave them a drop ball with clear instructions to give it back to us, and instead their fella wellied it into the third tier
