I'd put Austin on the right, Jones on the left ahead of Chicksen. I think you're right though, he's going to persist with Jones on the left.

I’ve come around on Jones on the right, it makes him far less predictable as a player and gives him a bit more freedom than just ‘oh he’s going to try and whip it in’ from the left - you still need people holding the width though…and I’d like to think Maynard would recognise that if the opposition have a weak right-back then just letting Jones run at him for 90 minutes is the obvious and right answer

I'm far more interested in the Notts County line up today than I am our own, and we have half of our defence/midfield injured
I'm afraid you might be waiting a while on that one - we play tomorrow.

Why is Carlisle's camera angle on the opposite side? Assume it has something to do with them refurbishing their big side stand where the away fans are?

Love it. Theo Vassell dives yet again for a free kick, as he did about 5 times last week. Ref doesn't buy it, Carlisle score, although the keeper should be saving it as it wasn't a good finish. Carlisle deserve their lead, been the better team.

Michael Cheek again. A goalscorer is a goalscorer, whether it’s National League or League 2. He’s inevitable.

Vassell deserved his yellow for being a nob. Hate it when defenders try to buy fouls like that.

Ugh I’m gonna have to give our game a miss today, done the last 5 nights at work and thought I’d be fine for today but woke up about 15 minutes ago and I’m just fucked, dropping my lad off there then I’m off back to bed.
Should guarantee a good win and performance that though,

Chislett in for Tolaj, massive boost that, Stockley on the bench is a pleasant surprise otherwise same as last weekend.

Chissy being back as huge for us really as he makes things happen.

Jameson, centre half, is dropped which is good news. He isn’t up to it, needs to be moved on. Our bench looks weak with 4 out injured, can’t see us making an impact on the game if we need to rely on them. Doncaster to win.

Hopefully we get some new signings in before the end of the transfer window which the manager has intimated will happen.

Played two, won two. Six goals for, three against. This can only mean one thing. Bromley win.

I'm not going as I didn't qualify for a ticket. I probably wouldn't have gone anyway as our 2009 conference south fixture there sticks in the memory. Horrible match, horrible day, horrible ground.
Sigh!

Well that was a load of crap. Bromley didn't have to do a lot to beat us thanks to our piss poor defending for the two goals. Better get back to a back 4 next week because playing 3 at the back clearly isn't working.

Wasn't a great game, neither keeper was tested. Unfortunately we made that one mistake that mattered.

Unsure why there was such a meltdown last week after Carlisle got beat by Gills? Today was nothing spectacular by either side, but neither will be in any bother.

Watched Neal with interest, thought he was decent and the player we had. You just need legs around him.

made worse by the fact that Dallas who "scored the goal" was never ever offside...

I didn't think he was offside to be fair he looked like he was just on but I'm suprised Dallas wasn't starting for you because you had absolutely no goal threat before he came on.

Anyway a win's a win so I'm delighted we've stopped our rot at home.

Yes that's why, but the camera used to be on the side it's on now anyway back in the day.

We are shite away, haven't won since 2023 so something had to give. Been a good day out tbh despite the result, didn't feel like there was as much tension in it compared to previous games. Not sure if that's because Wild is no longer here and I must admit I felt he got overly wound up sometimes.

Both sides had a strong half each, you made it count, we didn't.

Didn't Crewe make the play off final last season?

That's shocking from them right now.

Free header for Davies see us leading at HT. Cheltenham not happy after ref played advantage for a blatant foul then 5 seconds later when we lost the ball came back for the free kick in which we scored.

Could have been more this. Markanday is a real handful. Hard to know how much is us being unreal and how much is Crewe being useless, but either way we'll take it.
