As expected very close fought game with Tranmere. Maybe the replay will show otherwise but we really look like we got away with a professional foul by Sang after Ripley decided to go walkabout in goal. If I’m wrong it’s some of the finest defending and refereeing you’ll see.

Playing well and in control Swindon offering very little though so far looks like it's Harry Smith or nothing for them.

Good contest without many chances. We looks miles more competitive than last season in terms of effort and desire and are battling well. Connor Ripley nearly cost us a goal or a red card by storming out again needlessly! I’d have to see that tackle back, where I was sat it looked a great tackle to save us but some Vale fans felt from their view it was a foul.

Curtis looks good, absolute nuisance as does Paton again.

Two solid sides so far could go either or neither way.

Seen the replay… looks a red from that! Ripley needs to calm it.

I knew winning on Tues was a mistake. Lots of ball today but no end product. Fairly even game all in. We need to tighten up at the back

Wasn't a great game, neither keeper was tested. Unfortunately we made that one mistake that mattered.

Unsure why there was such a meltdown last week after Carlisle got beat by Gills? Today was nothing spectacular by either side, but neither will be in any bother.

Watched Neal with interest, thought he was decent and the player we had. You just need legs around him.
Agreed neither team will go down, but neither will threaten the top 7 either and that is supposedly the minimum expectation from our owners.

I still think Simpson will be gone in September. This win buys him at least till then.

Awful game to watch. After 20 minutes I felt like I’d been watching it for an hour, it was that much of a drag.

I need a Crewe fan some where to confirm if we’ve been unbelievable or if they’ve been unbelievably shite

They've been shite for a long time now, god knows when they last won a match. I reckon this is one hiding too many at home now and Bell will be sacked.

I know it's early days but you do worry for them if they don't come out the other side of this. With their low cost model I reckon they'd get stuck in the NL for years.

I think the best Crewe can hope for now is a draw.

I lost count of the number of times we chucked away 2-0 leads last season and first home game of the season and we’ve done it again ffs.

Yep, we've been absolutely shocking at throwing away leads over the past year or so. Infuriating. Good header from Taylor though, always been a tidy player.

Fair result, probably as even a game as you’ll ever see between two decent sides.

Said would have taken a point before the game and nothing I saw changed my mind. Plenty I think to encourage both teams and plenty to work on if either are to trouble the top 7 this season. Never turn my nose up at two clean sheets in two league games given my concerns about the defence going into the season.

Good luck to Tranmere.

Never fall in love with a loan player, never fall in love with a loan player……..
You better hope we go up.

On his day he is a superb player. I really hope he reminds his mojo at Grimsby and shows everyone just how good he is.

Oh superb, this season is already just as fucking awful as last season was.

God we are atrocious. At least last season we had a likeable squad - now we don't even have that. Chesterfield were decent but 2nd gear was enough. Fuck it, they'd have won that in reverse.

If we don't get relegated I'll be very, very surprised.
