Funny and entertaining game between us and Sutton, we only had 4 shots on target but scored all 4. Both sides at times gifted their opponents some very good chances - one of which Sutton took to take the lead, both sides gave their opponents chances with some dodgy back headers, for 2 sides known for being hard to get at this was unusual, we turned the ball over in far too many iffy areas for my liking. Dean Bouzanis in goal for Sutton had a game to forget too.

Not for the first time this season, we're able to take the pressure our opponents put on us and our heads don't drop if we fall behind. Sutton I thought ran out of steam after the first 30mins after a fast start which they got a deserved goal, but in the second half apart from the poor back header from Tom James rarely threatened us I thought and we seemed to cope better with their early direct game.

4-1 was a bit harsh in the end IMO, great goal from Harry Smith and for the 4th Sutton decided not to switch on for the corner at the end - should really have been 5 too. The game went our way as we took our chances, which at home we seem to be doing. In all our wins we're scoring 3s, 4s and 5s. Sutton will rue the chance from Bennett which hit the post at 1-1 and the 1v1 from the dodgy back header.

FGR comfortably the best team we played this season. Jamille Matt was a handful the entire game and bullied our centre backs, wasn’t a coincidence we started growing into the game after he went off.

The sending off was stupid, not necessarily for the impact on this game as the writing was already on the wall but for the game(s) Sterry will miss, coming up in our already tough run.

Have to say though that FGR were masters of the dark arts, time wasting even though were comfortable at 3-0. And I don’t think I’ve seen a team fling themselves to the floor and pretend they are injured as often.

Owner needs to make a decision on a manager soon, scary run of fixtures coming up and I hope this isn’t the start of a slide.

They were brilliant but we almost laid out the red carpet for them, showed them way too much respect and they tore us to shreds, genuinely don't think we'll come up against opposition like these again this season.

Sweeney now has to be out of the running, nice fella and talks well but he's not ready for it, we need someone from the outside, fresh pair of eyes and some new ideas and pretty sharpish.

Shite. 2 wins in 18? Beautiful. Songo'o should be nowhere near this team. Absolute liability. Not even sure what he's doing for ninety minutes. I think if you take Vernam and Cooke out of this team we'd probably be in a relegation scrap.
How shit has Songo'o been so far? Couldn't pass wind that lad.

He's dire and he's made so many crucial mistakes this season: Slips and own goals. The fact he took the place of Sutton and stayed on the pitch for ninety minutes is criminal. Didn't see the alledged elbow on their player but perhaps he should have been off.

I sit around some people who seem to enjoy giving Vernam abuse. Mental.

Edit: Forgot the ref was Boyeson. He won't get an incident of any significance correct so he probably got the Songo'o one wrong and he should be off. Sound reasoning.

Yeah one thing today has shown me is that Sweeney isn’t ready for management, we need someone in who knows what he is doing at this level and can get the most out of poor squad depth.

What worried me was at 3-0 looking at the bench and wondering what the fuck we will do to change it.

Two decent sides at Rodney Parade today. Very similar styles which led to a bit of a cat & mouse game with both sides taking it in turns to test each other out. Comical diving in the penalty box aside (dread to think what its like with McKirdy playing, thank god he didn't play as with his antics he might have caused a riot!) I thought Swindon were a good team & you'd have to fancy them to be up there at the end of the season on that showing.

A draw would have been a fair result but it wasn't to be today. Its a shame Telford went for goal at 1-1 instead of slipping CBR who would have been straight in on goal.

Looks promising for County at the moment but there's usually something that gets in the way. Hopefully the new pitch will hold up and we keep our loan signings this time during the January window. I'm slightly concerned that we are going to lose Telford at this rate as he can't stop scoring & someone will likely throw stupid money at him around January.

Hopefully we bounce back against Crawley & Colchester away.

No idea what our plan was today - we get worse every week. Any attacking flair has just gone, but I don't know if that's down to us or our opponents figuring us out.

We started Mike Jones a 34 year old who hasn't played in the league for a year and he was shite and responsible for the goal. We started Luke James who can't score goals, in place of our only goal threat who was suspended. He didn't score. We tried to play everything up to Zanzala, who is so shot of confidence he looks like he wants to be anywhere but Barrow - just totally bullied by a giant centre back and with the crowd on his back. It's just so confusing trying to work out what we're trying to do.

Not worrying about the relegation mix just yet, and I do think we've kept a fair bit of budget back for January, but it already feels like our season is petering out into nothing.

Really good game with both teams going for it. Good finish at the death to settle it which was about all that separated us. Good support from Swindon in a 5k crowd.

No complaints from me, we were nowhere near them. Very poor performance from us but as has been said FGR comfortably the best we've seen. They looked a league higher. That said they are very shithousey and snidey. No complaints about Sterry's red mind, what a fucking idiot.

3 defeats in a row in the league, two of them comprehensive. We are on the slide, definitely way off the better sides.

Agree on Sweeney, today made up my mind. Fresh approach needed.

5 wins in a row all competitions so cannot complain, Scunny looked like a team bottom of the table to be honest.

You'll have your fourth win in a few weeks when we play you!
Half your team is former Scunny players so you should let us win as a gesture of goodwill

Couldn’t agree more, looked levels apart didn’t they.

100% the biggest pack of shithouses we have played as well but that’s what we need to show more of.

If we are on the slide, unfortunately the games aren’t going to get any easier any time soon. We need to appoint a new manager ASAP.

Can we all just take a few seconds to show some sympathy for all those poor Manchester United supporters out there who are suffering in a way that nobody can understand. Clearly we all have no idea what it must be like for them.

Eisa came on today for ten minutes which was his first league apperance this season. Is he actually any good? Who else do we have who's former Scunthorpe? Sutton? I really like Sutton. Likes to get forward which is why dams doesn't like him.

In all honesty though Don, reckon you'll actually beat us.

too many players hiding today, players getting caught in possession cause others didn't want to know or show.

FGR very good team, good players, organised, skillfull individuals, but we made it so so easy for them
and that is what,s really dissappointing.

And if people think they are good, wait till tuesday. swindon will be just as good.

No hiding now and i hope sweeny is brave with his team selection, that to me would tell me if he,s ready.

Eisa is a typical L2 winger, unplayable on his day but his day doesn't come enough. I liked him though and think he will excel in a side that is dominant on the ball.

You have Niall Canavan, Levi Sutton, Alex Gilliead, Abo Eisa, Theo Robinson and Charles Vernam as former scunny players. Vernam only half counts though as he came through our youth ranks but we sold him to Derby before he ever played a game.

We stand a chance of winning because we're at home but you'd be pressed hard to find a Scunny fan that is optimistic.

We won!

Forgotten man James Tilley with the winner. He was on loan at national South earlier this season.

Wasn't there so gawd nose if it was a fair result but when you've lost 9 from 10 you take it anyway.

Oh, the giant centre back is Francillette. Was at Newcastle u23s but originally at Dijon. He's mustard...sorry. If Quigley was still there you'd see he doesn't always play to his size but he could be a good 'un in the future.

i thought scunthorpe have some potential about them, in fairness they were architects of their own downfall as the same defensive passing around at the back nearly caused a goal for bowery and was the reason for the 3rd, but oldham and stevenage were much worse than that.

There is something there for hill to work with

Fail to do the basics in defending your own box that’s what you end up with. Disappointing loss as it seems to be a bit of a pattern now with how we concede goals. No team at this level is that much better than anyone else to get away with that. Congrats to Oldham and as said before good luck getting rid of that owner.

Just put it right for Walsall midweek.

Your lad lucky not to get a red for the pushing Macdonald in the face?

Most Rovers fans felt the 50:50 decisions mostly went Brizzle’s way. Your strikers radar went wonky second half, we were more grateful of the point.

Liked the Memorial Ground, your fans a decent bunch and enjoyed a couple of post-march beers at the Drapers Arms

They played alright till the sending off. Both teams not creating much, Carlisle the better side but never looked like scoring. We dominated the game second half and could've been 4 or 5

Sutton had a bright opening 20 minutes where they really stifled us, but other than that I thought they were hardworking but pony. Other than Bennett’s speculative drive from distance that hit the post they created absolutely nothing that we didn’t offer them on a silver platter. The ref cottoned on to their alehouse theatrics in the second half and without those set pieces we were always comfortable.

Once we got our passing going after the equaliser we absolutely mauled them. Should have been five or six. Kemp had another great game and Archibald is really growing into the left wing back role. Good stuff. Time for an overdue away win and we’ll be flying again.

To be fair to him. Losing 2-1 to a side chasing automatic promotion where we went down to 10 men on 45 and they didn't score for another 15 minutes feels line a win. Its certainly the most impressive thing we've done since the middle of September.
