Ref is worrying me now. Wild has clearly had a word at half-time.
I agree seems to want to be the start. Somebody ends this with 10men . Can't see us getting a win here. I'd take a point now.
Wild done well half time, took Warren off, Palmer now none existent. Barrow pressing a lot more and we're struggling with it.

Still time etc, but this is a proper pasting. 2-0 ridiculously flattering to Tranmere.

Big chance to go 2-1 Palmer in the middle for a tap in but Dalby fails to make the pass. Need a forward in this week.

If anyone wants a player who can’t hit a barn door, we’ve plenty. Lucky for anyone who wishes to sign them, they’ll turn into world beaters.

Jake Young and Abo Eisa - fuck my life!

Hung on in the end, pretty much second best but showed enough to earn the point. Too many unforced errors at the back don't help. Some real bits of quality from Deeney, even if the goal was a dodgy scramble, he's more than just an ornament.

Finished 1-1

Barrow the better team 2nd half. Credit to Wild for changing it. Parky waiting ages to make the changes as always.

Shouldn't of been out of sight by half time. Missing Mullin massively as expected. Hayden and Tunnicliffe can't be fit soon enough. Every game so far we've conceded due to just backing off and letting the opposition have shots. So poor.

Forward, GK and CM in or were looking at mid table

Sounds like we punished Wrexham for not taking their chances to be out of sight by half time. I'll take the point. Just hope Wild never starts Warren in a back three again, said the same last week after Stockport.

Should be 3-0 at half time.

Fair play to Wild. That sub and a d
few tweeks changed the game.

Funny old game football is. Bradford comfortably the worst team we've played sor far this season yet there the only team to beat us so far. We were toothless upfront today though that was the main issue. Played from the back, through midfield into tge final 3rd but had nothing once we got there.

Couple of minutes after his goal today Eisa smashed another one against the bar from outside the box again too.
Not sure what went wrong for him at Bradford but the guy is a machine for us.

Crap first half from us, Walsall not that much better but definitely edged it. Only one team in the second half up until about 5 mins before their equaliser. Much better from us, but same old same old from last season in that we can't kill teams off. If we could we'd be a very decent side at this level. We picked up a point we didn't deserve last weekend but we've dropped two we shouldn't have here. Back to back 1-1s is a bit frustrating when you consider both goals we've conceded have been poor defending. Not sure what's happened with Walsall's goal today. Amos caught napping, an easy ball allowed into the box and Rodgers has been done way too easily. Having said that, Rose's missed header was the chance to finish the match and he didn't take it and Walsall took their one decent chance of the second half so we can't really grumble.

With Mullin we win comfortably. Got to get him back even at 50% fit.

He takes atleast 1 of the chances 1st half.
As much as we miss him we cant rush him back. He will be smashed around the first few games, won't take much if his ribs have t healed properly

I said to my lad around 70 mins in that we were so shit first half and didn’t concede that it would be typical Town to be looking comfortable at 1-0 up and then go and concede.
And hey presto!

Dogshit first half, bang average second half. Fully expecting Mansfield to batter us next week if we play anything like that, which we will.

Vintage Notts that - a seal clubbing for 70 minutes, should have been 10-0 up. Williams makes 5 subs, 1 gets injured and we play with 10 men for 20 minutes and barely hang on.

It’s there though, we’re so dangerous going forward. Jodi Jones has somehow shifted into another gear this season.

Still need a centre-back.

What these first 5 games have shown me so far is that we are probably about an 8th - 12th place team currently, much too inconsistent as things stand to be troubling the play offs IMO but with some subtle bits of tweaking here and there throughout the season then we could end up there or thereabouts with a bit of luck.
This league certainly looks wide open for any team putting a good run of results together it seems like anyone can beat anyone.

Made it much harder than it needed to be going down to 10 cos of injury and clinging on for a completely ridiculous amount of stoppage time.

Overall feels like we’ve figured out this level, though. By which I mean everyone just plays against us like they did in the National League, scared to try and make a game of it. That should’ve been a proper clubbing, but we’ll take the win.

Just the 28 shots from mansfield today

Tbh i think stockport perfectly fell into our trap, easily the best side we’ve played this season (in honesty quite easy as we’ve not played anyone decent until today) and were good value for the lead, maybe a little fortunate but i couldn’t have complained, however they’ve been chasing us all game, and you could see 55/60 minutes in they were tiring.

The last 30 minutes we battered stockport into an inch of their life, had we come out with 4 or 5 they’d have been no complaints, we just absolutely terrorised them, their keeper had to be MOM with a string of saves.

Being harsh on mansfield but we’re too wasteful and need to be taking our chances better.

3-1 loss at Newport. Frenetic, tight game for the most part then we just seemed to fall apart a bit after they equalised. Expect us to start to get a fair bit better in September but we could do with getting some points on the board.

It's been a great start for Notts, opening day notwithstanding.

It's noticeable that all the teams you've played are in the bottom half of the table (apart from Morecombe). At this stage that could just be because you've beaten them - but have you had a favourable start or is the gap not that big after all? (like we all said) Tbh we should have more points than we've got, but struggling to take our chances without Mullin - badly need some quality added without him and our other injured players.

Probably a fair result in the end, both sides seem to lack a bit of composure at both ends of the pitch today, with chances offered up and then squandered. The exception was Deeney who just seemed to have time on the ball whenever he got it.
I think we just shaded it on chances, but a winner either way would have been a little harsh. The injuries to Reeves and Little are concerning, suddenly our squad doesn't look so deep, especially after we let Bendle join yourselves...
We are still unbeaten, until Wednesday at least when Chelsea will no doubt put an end to our fun...
