Someone pointed out on twitter that of the 3 matches relevant to us there's 27 permutations (3x3x3) and in only 2 of them (I think) do we get into the playoffs.
So might as well just relax and hope it's a good match.

Aye. I think we'll win but other results won't go our way. Least we've had a decent run and something to play for, however small the playoffs seem. Quite enjoyed the last month or so.

We wouldn't have to worry about other teams if we were good enough. Just a shame we couldn't get one more win. No excuses for next season. Have to go for it.

Just holding out the final ten minutes of the home game v Crawley where we were 2-1 up after 85 mins and managed to lose 4-2 would've been fine.

Barrow pubs certainly benefitting from the visiting stags who’ve made a weekend of it, class atmosphere

sounds like there will be a boycott to the start of the game anyway
What's that all about?
This is what he actually said;
Yeah, unfortunately you I can't see us doing you any favours today. Gav Holohan has said his goodbyes to everyone at the club, sounds like some time might be given to a couple of youngsters, etc. Sounds like we're on the beach and looking to pre-season already. Perhaps the pressure being off might help though?

Meant to be a sell out at Crawley today.

We never do well in front of 'big' crowds at home for league matches.

The team is bound to be nervous.

Always play worse against the teams near the bottom of the table.

Our form has fallen off a cliff since beating Mansfield.

I'm not sure whether to go or put a blanket over me head while playing 'Dixie' with an arse flute during the game.

It's fun to have something on the last game!

Not sure what to expect today, the executioner has swung his axe and the fat lady has departed for her summer holidays...will our players bother to show up, will the South Stand invade the pitch and force an abandonment of the game (which would be a new end to a game for me, having already seen them go for rain and fog), will Dale Vince bother to show his face, will there be a sort of party atmosphere as our fate has been sealed during the three weeks that we last played at home, will we finish above Sutton...does anybody really care?

I might post a few reflections after the game, if I can be bothered, but if I can't...it has been fun in the Football League, some of the time, despite the way it has ended in a complete and utter shambles...we may be back, don't know where (current ground or green elephant by the M5), don't know when (probably not the season after next)...but I know we'll meet again some sunny day! (apologies to the late Dame Vera Lynn for butchering your wonderful song).

Ciao amigos!

Ironic, thought we’d buggered that up, we’ve won all 4 games since that crawley loss.

AFAIC the more hungry pissed off playing for their futures the better, but Crawley should win. I don't think the seeming dip in form is a real thing. But you GT do love drawing.

Looking at the teams I can see Barrow, Crewe and Crawley buggering this up.

Whichever way it goes. Good luck to all of us.

I'm off down the pub. Maybe 6 or 7 pints will make it easier.

Seen a lot of Alex fans say they're super nervous for today. I've never been more at ease with the outcome, whatever it may be. As I keep being told, all of this is a bonus. So whatever happens, it's still been a good season. Been through promotions in 2003, 2012 and 2020, to a certain extent. I was way more nervous for those. Que sera sera. If we win or draw, then we'll make the play-offs and deservedly so based the season as a whole. If we lose and drop out, then based on the last 13 games and losing form at the worst time, then we can't complain.

Mad to think we won a championship in our brief sojourn considering the present shambles.

Given the shit show we’ve endured for 3 years if written another season off. Then we went on this amazing run but even up until Tuesday I was waiting for the bubble to burst. Now I’m absolutely bricking it, not felt like this since the Charlton penalty shoot out

We’ve gone full strength… I’m surprised
Can understand why you'd rest players, but the play-offs aren't until a week on Monday. I think the opposite makes more sense. Play your full team, stick 3 or 4 in today(sorry Sutton) and be as in form as possible for the play-offs.

Grimsby look like they have gone for a young line up at Crawley. Youngster making his first ever league start, another his first start this season ( I think). Hope they remain competitive given the chase for the playoffs

Donny have just gone 1 up at Priestfield, slight suggestion of offside but a good ball in and a brave finish. It's been pretty even so far, couple of half-chances either way, which we're never going to take with our scoring record. We should've had a penalty a few minutes before the goal but the referee decided just to retake the corner instead. Not a great decision, but all things considered I can't bring myself to get overly upset about it.
