Gracious me, it's like trying to draw blood from a stone.
A couple of weeks ago there was another football forum website [similar to this one] that some members of this forum joined when there were web issues here.
I joined it although rarely posted on it.
Now could perhaps Dan Phillips, YEO YEO, Tom_ITFC or Barrie Owl find out if and why this other website has gone down. PLEASE.
Thank you.

You've got completely the wrong name that's why it won't work.

Thanks for advice.
I've used same bookmark for years but suddenly website was not recognised.
However good news is that following advice from others I have now regained access to website.
Cheers to all for their help.

First objective on Saturday is don't go in 2-0 down at half time. Tbf the other 3 times have been at home, but in any case it would really help to not have a mountain to climb in the second half.

Our website/ticketing/app software is full of glitches so I’m not surprised tbh.

For any Fleetwood fans coming to Lincoln this weekend, the Steampunk festival is back for the first time since pre covid times. Believe its Europes largest gathering, around castle/ cathedral are, so don't be alarmed, as some perculiar characters and outfits on show already!

I think the hierarchy at Bristol Rovers will be quaking in their boots. I hope their fans understand that the fee for Luke McCormick might be the last they pay for some time when the Cornish FGR fan has finished with them

Looking forward to our home game against Portsmouth. Should be another good gate and good atmosphere and there's no reason why we can't get the 3 points. Ellis Harrison has made a very promising start to his Vale career and hopefully we can partner him with Jamie Proctor which will be a handful for any League 1 defence.

Amazed to see how much Vale fans big up Proctor, I don't think he's had a single good season at this level.

Don’t know how he got on before at this level and to be honest it’s not really relevant to us. He’s overall done a good job while playing for Vale in our system and that’s all that counts. Once James Wilson is fit in the next couple of weeks Proctor will play more a of a part time role in any case.

He was great last season, put himself about and showed good touch and skill too at times. Scored a couple of great goals too.

He's getting on a bit now, so I suspect he'll play more of a bit part this season.

Really good professional and decent bloke. The sort you need in a squad.

We had very little return on Harrison. Amazed to see him sprint from the halfway line with the ball and go round the keeper last weekend. Never saw that once in two and a half seasons. Maybe Clarke is the only one who can get a tune out of him?

We've been good so far this season but this may be a tough one. Harrison is bound to score so 1-1.

Clarke is a tremendous man manager. He makes me believe I could be a professional footballer! He does seem to get a tune out of players where others have failed.

Harrison has worked really hard in his games so far and looks a handful. Sometimes players just don't suit systems too.

I think this will be a tough one for us. Wouldn't surprise me if we got beat. Portsmouth are pretty established at the top end of this level, so will have built a strong squad over a few seasons. Pack is still class, Lowery is a good signing. Plenty of decent forward options. We'll have to be at 8/10 to get anything.

He’s not fit so can only base our view on him from last season where he was generally superb, the goal against Sutton one of the best I’ve ever seen at VP.

That said injuries and his body isn’t what it was, he basically trains less and is managed to get the best out of him but is less likely to feature much.

James Wilson has that bit of “stardust” about him, he’s almost certain to start when fit and Harrison you’d think, assuming we sign Cole Stockton or an other established striker at this level next week Procs will be fourth choice which is right with his injuries.

I think Port Vale fans have history of bigging their club or players up on this forum, so I’m not surprised to hear Proctor will terrorise any league one defence to fourth choice striker in the space of a few posts.

Agreed, despite fans of one particular club still saying we buy off referees (not very well, seemingly, as we commence our 11th season rattling around Leagues One and Two) all four promoted clubs have really improved these conversations.

Not overly seen any of that to be honest, as said Proctor was excellent last season but hasn't played for us barely in League One to judge but at the moment with Willo out he is a better option than a midfielder or youth midfielder that we had to shove up top first few weeks.
