61% possession, but 1-0 down and we haven’t had a single shot.

Polar opposite to Tuesday as a game this. Really low quality. Lincoln have come for a 0-0 with the hope of nicking one on the break and it’s made for a hard watch. More concerning though is injuries to Worrall and Garrity. We’ve dominated but created little

Have to be honest, Lincoln have been the worst team we've played so far. They haven't had a single shot on or off target.

We've huffed and puffed a bit without the real quality to break down but we're certainly the better team. Conlon has had a good game since coming on and Robinson looks a threat.

It's the sort of game we need to win.

They’ve offered nothing but this is the type of game we lose 1-0 isn’t it! Maybe time for Wilson? Just needs a bit of quality.

Yep. They're clearly playing for 0-0 or 1-0 on the break which is poor really. I expected better after their recent results.

Like you say, we need someone with a bit of quality to unlock.

I think they beat Ipswich with 1 shot v 20 or 30 odd against so it’s worked for them but it’s a hard watch.

Pitch doesn’t help though. Three off injured first half didn’t help it flow.

Lucky to get nil and could have shipped five easily. Oh dear oh dear.

Absolutely awful. No shots on target and defence all over the place. Doesn’t help with our keeper and best CB out injured on top of all our other injuries but the overall performance was poor, couldn’t get anything going at all. Matt looked alright when he came on.

Yeah, he was about the one positive, really was dire watching things break down approaching the final third and the regular gifts for them at the back.

There must have been some pretty bad game management from Ipswich to let a 2 goal lead slip in injury time having scored 2 before that.

A free hit today after the recent great results against Charlton, Ipswich, Sheff Wed and Barnsley. We had to lose one eventually! We're set up hard to beat, it may be a frustrating watch, but its been the difference for us getting 8 points from 12 available as above. If we were as expansive as we were earlier in the season, we may well have lost all 4!

Accrington at home next who are on a dreadful run. It's a game we would struggle to break down last season and lose 1-0, be interesting how we set up!

Absolutely sickening. The second time I’ve left an Ipswich away end having seen us lead by 2 after 95 minutes and fail to win.

Just a shocking shocking state of affairs. Cut my leg open for the Ladapo goal in the 91st minute to put us 3-2 up. And then three more goals went in. Very Ipswich to balls something like that up. Can’t do anything about it but I just keep finding myself stood shaking my head at what I’ve seen. The bloody home end was empty at 4-2 as well. Must’ve been less than 40% left. Maybe even only a 3rd full. And then that. Horrific.

Do have any intel on these injuries? The club just goes really quiet on them and players are out fir months fir really nothing looking injuries!

Probably suits Burchnill to have injuries though, as that seems to be his main excuse and why he is still in a job.

Really sad times at FGR at the moment! Vince seems to have completely lost interest in this great club and does not seem to be funding it at all now!

This has been my worry all along...since he walked through the door...that ultimately he is utterly clueless about football, some of his decisions seem to bear that out, and we might get to a level where he and the club are out of their depth completely. Sadly that appears to be League One.

I wonder how long it will be before our usually polite, and often apathetic, fans turn on Vince?

Agreed.

Our fans have been loud and proud this season considering.

Burchnill has been given quite a bit of stick, but Vince has escaped all of this so far.

I think you are correct though and much more of this shite and fans will turn on Vince and probably rightly so, he is not backing the club at all.

I can accept Vince and him using our club for his beliefs and massage, fine, what we shouldn’t accept is Vince using our club, yet not investing at all.

I take it that was a spelling mistake...although it is a lovely Freudian slip...I think Dale only cares about massaging his own ego.

I think one or two people have already stopped attending games because they disagree with what DV is doing with the club, using it to promote his own political opinions....I have been close to walking away because he is using it to promote a state that is amongst the worst in the World for LGBT+ rights...that certainly does not represent my view.

Didn’t go today but it’s a really good three points considering who Lincoln have managed to beat lately. The next challenge for Vale is to do something we haven’t done this season and put back to back wins together.

JMT is out with a hernia apparently, McGee I think is a hamstring but apparently he’s been sent for a scan which doesn’t sound great.

Finally back.

Good win, well deserved and had to be patient. Main plus is how good our squad depth is, to make 6 changes again and lose three players first half and still have the squad to win that was great to see. We’ve built a squad rather than an 11 and DC keeps harping on about it and it shows. Two wins in a week when we’ve made big changes.

First half was all one way traffic. Lincoln didn’t lay a glove but we couldn’t find a way through, ten minutes after half time they huffed and puffed a bit but we soon got back on top and thankfully the chance came, great work from Ellis, decent effort by Mipo and well followed in by Butterworth who was excellent today.

Lincoln were poor, very poor. I didn’t really get their game plan as they sat deep came for a 0-0 but never really time wasted or overly slowed it down! Then when we went 1-0 never really shown any interest in getting back level, very strange set up, bloke in the stand made the point he expected them to have a go once we scored but never did.

Hard watch, must be harder watching it most weeks on the road but guess it’s one of those when it comes off great when it don’t it’s an awful day out.

Overall the decent form continues, into the top half and since match day 4 we’ve only lost to Portsmouth, Posh, Wednesday and Ipswich so picking up points against the other sides where we need to. If that can continue we should be safe from relegation worries this season but long way to go yet.

Onto Wycombe!

I don't know why you did, it's literally how we've played to get the recent results we've had! It's only been the last 6 or so games we've moved to that system.

Losing Mandroiu to injury was a biggy, he's got a bit of x-factor about him by the looks of it (admittedly he's not been available too much to us so that's based on limited viewing).

We don't have the personnel or options to necessarily attack teams or suddenly change a system to make us more threatening, it's is what it is. The way we currently set-up is best for us at the minute until we can add something up front come January. In one respect it's good because we can win games with one goal but it also relies on us being pretty flawless in defence.

A side at the bottom scrapping? We were bang out of form but we won’t be a side at the bottom scrapping. We are a point away from you and 3 off 7th.
Ummm...don't now about that Posh were as bad as they have been all season in the second half, but you lot could have been there another two weeks and still not scored.

Solid core though, Jones and the one with girls hair, were great at the back and Digby was MOM for me, but its a team totally devoid of any creativity and the forwards look very short of goals. Just typical scum hustle, bustle...

See you next year at the Stalag Shabbey, which may well be the last time we play you in another 20 years.

Well, that was fun; sort of. Poor game management from us.

7 point week though. Will be a one-time Exeter fan on Monday night.
