Great game wasn’t it, loved it. We’ve had some thrillers the last couple of years but it’s always been us dominating and the opposition breaking on us, that was two good teams trading spells of dominance. Think the result was about right as we created the better chances but they could easily have got something, expect them to be right up there.

Mad we’re in this position after the opening day aberration.

Travelled for the game, and loved it. Agree was very impressed with Stanley who I thought should have been 2-1 up at half time after both sides had bright spells. Stone to the rescue.

After a bright opening we struggled to work them out or advance through the 3rds, as they man marked McGoldrick and Crowley and left Jones and Nemane to receive the ball out wide but deep.

Second half the pendulum continued to swing from one side to the other, both playing great football. Proper football on the deck. We got on top after a dodgy 5 mins and created some fantastic chances. Langstaff is different gravy, hardly gets a kick for a long time then shows such composure and classy finishes out of nowhere. Definitely the biggest difference between the sides, two great finishes and could have had a hat trick. Best finisher since Lee Hughes.

Liked the big man up top for Stanley and the left back.

It’s so long since anyone sold it out, I think it’s between 2-3000. 900 under cover, the rest open

’Away fans visiting the Energy Check County Ground are located in the Arkell’s Stand, with a typical allocation of around 1,200. For larger away followings, the Stratton Bank Stand can be allocated, which holds 2,100.’

Not sure if the 1200 is correct with segregation
The Stratton Bank isn't a stand.

Most of us are. Though I can’t speak for RobShep.
Just watched the interview with your manager. You can just tell he knows he is well out of his depth and I find it hard to believe he is able to motivate a group of players. He hardly screams charisma.

Disagree with him thinking we are just a team of giants. We've got some big centre backs of course, like every side in this league probably has. Midfield was full of midgets today. McClean is a tank though running up and down the wing, I think he'll be unplayable at this level some weeks.

Echo what others have said, thought Langstaff had a great game even though he probably will feel like he could have scored more. Accy looked decent and played some really nice stuff, they'll be a tough game for anyone in this division and their goal was a cracking header (if completely free).

Excellent performance after a terrible opening 20 minutes. MK only had two shots of note, one being the goal. They'll do well as they have 3 forwards capable of playing in the division above but my god they were awful everywhere else on the pitch today.

Shilow Tracey changed the game when he come on. The fullbacks for them were on toast the entire second half thanks to his pace and his and Jack Powell vision and the centre halves weren't very convincing too. I usually criticise our midfield for this but their midfield was totally non-existent and we dominated the second half as a result of it.

Chris Long was excellent today and my man of the match. I just hope we keep him fit all season. Nevitt injured with Colkett and Finney. CBR and Adebisi looked to have knocks. We're only a few injuries away from being in a sticky situation so we need to bring in a free agent or two to boost the squad depth

I just can't believe MK were top. Mansfield, Newport and Walsall were all much better sides. I'm not convinced Alexander will get them promoted either. It may have been an off day but they were just incredibly poor.

Think everything that been said about the game at Field Mill today is fair, as was the result.

I’m glad to keep our unbeaten run in all competitions going, but I expect the 11 out is finally biting us and a downfall in form and performances is almost a certainty.

We desperately missed the directness of Oates and the creativity and Quinn.

Swan and Clarke look slow and unfit.

Nevitt was ill apparently. With Colkett, Dicker said yesterday he would be back in training next week(but he'll probably pick up a new injury soon), so who knows on him. Finney I can't believe is trying to battle his way through the season. Should have just had the op back in July, he'd be halfway to recovery by now.

As for CBR he had cramp, so doubt that's anything too serious, although you never know with him. Fingers crossed on Adebisi, although Cooney and Demetriou at FB next week is fine with me.

Both not had enough minutes or pre-season and clearly way off it. Clarke really stood out not being up to speed today but we had no choice but to play him really.

Swan will get up to speed, just need a goal and he could be off.

Isn't it. Accrington looked a good team to me, didn't think we were lucky to win but we had to work very hard for it.
Langstaff is just electric, sharp as a tack. Defence looks better, we've definitely dropped the ultra high line and adjusted to being pressed more.

Enjoyed the day, but the new chant of ‘We’re Notts County who the fuck are you?’(probably generic) was the icing on the cake.

Their LB had Nemane in his pocket although he was knackered by the end, just about fell over the ball on 90 mins, he'd worked like a dog.
Their bench just wasn't as strong as ours and with 100+ minute games it makes a real difference.

That's our chant, originally started at Orient away years ago when we had the Aalst supporters over from Belgium with us and it was "We're Aalst and Grimsby, who the fuck are you?" Then became "We're all from Grimsby, who the fuck are you?".

We've stolen it after playing Orient last season as they were using it but singing champions instead. I'm afraid it's catching on everywhere.

Couldn’t face listening tbh. No charisma as you say, though not quite in the Keith Hill league of irritating.
I did think your team’s greater physical presence was a factor in your total dominance during the game, though not the only one.

Difficult to have an opinion on either side today as it was all about the ref, what an utter tossed, made the day all about himself
Just got back from Donny. It was an atrocious display by the ref - I had no idea what was going on. We were awful v 10 men - don’t think your keeper had a shot to save. Draw a fair result but I can’t see you floundering at the bottom for much longer.

Great set up at your place - I really enjoyed my visit. Can’t praise it enough.

We pride ourselves on how well we look after the away fans, just an absolute shame the ref spoiled everyone’s day, an utter prick.

Imitation is the best form of flattery. Surprised it's taken this long to be fair, it's been one of our best ones for a long time. We'd have sung it at your place last season and the season before, I'm sure.

Not been to or watched two matches this season, today and our 2-0 win over Salford. Maybe I need to just stay away! Decent result though. Fortress Blundell so far, just need to get last season's away record back and we're a playoff side.

Poor today from us. That’s 3 in a row at home without scoring. FGR should probably have got another 1 or 2.
