2 early kickoffs in the promotion hunt, we face a tricky away game at the home of Select Car Leasing, whereas Wrexham will presumably frolic to a routine grindy win v Burton.

I can see wins for most of the top 8 if I'm honest, though Reading and ourselves have a fair chance of cancelling each other out.

The ultimate motherlode of relegation dogfight football also happens today - Shrews v Cambridge, apparently liquid football purists have already gathered at the New Meadow by way of pilgrimage.

No idea really what will happen against Stockport. Sounds like doubts over Trevitt (who was our best player on Tuesday) and Mitchell, so attacking options might be limited.
But I think we are safe and would be nice to play some handbrake off football, though I'm sure Stockport will have something to say on that.

With the departure of Steve Evans (no option really if the owner wants to sell any season tickets for next season) the stay aways are expected to return to give Matt Hamshaw and Andy Warrington a big welcome back to the club.

The win at Northampton plus being awarded the Sky Bet League One Community Club of the season this week has restored something of the feel good factor back into the fans, so I expect the attendance to be up by 2 or 3 thousand against Blackpool.

Blackpool are on a bit of a roll so I would expect 1500 from them so it should be the best atmosphere at the stadium for some time.

Hopefully MH and AW will have instilled a bit more confidence and nous into the players, so despite all the injuries I'm hoping for a good game and at least a point.

We always lose at Shrewsbury, can't wait to have both of us level on points scrapping for the wooden spoon.

Both Cambridge and Shrews have shown in midweek you can compete with teams at the top end. I wonder who will out shit the other for how shit you both are! :D Hopefully Slops.

Trundling up to Stevenage tomorrow. A direct train from Three Bridges (the main line station in Crawley). I will probably have to put up with Arsenal fans as the train goes right by their stadium as well.

Looking forward to a good day out, one or two (gallons) beverages and fingers crossed for a decent result.

My one Ray of hope for staying up this season is we are somehow tied to Stevenage. We followed them up from the Conference. We followed them up from league two. We followed them down from league 1 and followed them back up to league one. Twilight Zone theme music plays.

Can't see us getting anything from Bolton. We seem to be incapable of playing any sort of organised progressive football away from home.

You say that but you dampened the excitement of Hurst's home return last year with Lyle Taylor scoring a couple. Maybe the same outcome for Appleton's first home game?

Think we may nick this one in a not-so classic bottom of the table clash in front of a low crowd. It is the designated armed forces day, so the match ball is coming in by helicopter again just before kick off.

Some people are planning on walking out on 29 minutes in protest at the chairman and the failed takeover. Doesn't seem to be widespread support for it after the initial flurry earlier in the week.
