6-1 Smudge. Half an hour let’s go for double figures.

Agree with Adam Yates on commentary let’s see this out how we started not trying stepovers and party tricks etc. Play properly for the full 90, never know if the goal difference might come in handy.

Another back for Bolton. Some sloppy stuff from Vale in the last 10 minutes.

Askey needs a word with a few of them on their defensive work. We are not going to come up against a team as poor at the back as them often.

Whilst it’s been an undoubtedly poor 2nd half performance from us, I have to say Walsall have been very impressive. Especially Bates and McCdonald.
Scott Davies motm for keeping the score down to single figures.

Yep, you've got to hand it to them. First to every ball, and their interception stat must be through the roof. Very frustrating to play against, one of those games where even the bounce of the ball seems to be conspiring against us.

Can't comment as not watched the game but the bet365 stats are crazy. It shows we have had TWENTY SEVEN more attacks than Cheltenham and also the more possession with 54%

Shame the only stat to mean anything is the embarrassing scoreline. Although at least it shows we were completely dreadful.

Fair play to Walsall. Best side I’ve seen this season that we’ve come up against. I’m putting that down as as off day for us as we’ve been brilliant the past 8 games. Hopefully get another run going now.

Have to say Walsall were a disgrace when it came to rolling around on the floor. Counted 3 times when they’ve gone down holding their face and just blatantly cheating. It’s a shame really because they played some really nice football.

A 16-year-old right back from our academy that nobody has ever heard of has just popped up out of nowhere and straight into the starting eleven.

Good win in the end. Thoight we were distinctly average until going a goal up, but after that we stepped it up and created quite a lot and forced some busy work for the Bradford keeper.

Deserved win for Carlisle. So, so easy for them. Buzzing for Dagenham away next season.

Our defence is shiiiiiiiiite. We've scored 3 away from home and get absolutely nothing from it. Defence need their heads examining.

Yep, the only downer to their performance. Some really cynical gamesmanship. It reminded me of the national league. Glad that the ref wasn't sold by any of it, but he didn't stamp it out either.

Great result today, arrested the slide at least. Think Rodney was superb running the channels and Santos will be having nightmares about him. The midfield ran the show in a way they haven’t lately, need more of that.

Would have liked us to be a bit more ruthless not letting them score a couple of consolations but that’s for Askey to deal with.

For any team coming up against Bolton if Evatt is wedded to that three at the back Vales game plan going forward is the way to deal with them. They pretty much played into our hands.

Great win and could easily have hit double figures today.

Today all the frustration came together and we bludgeoned them to death.

Furious though that we got sloppy later on to allow them 2 goals, the third was a stinker but great to get one of the fringe lads on for his league debut.

Absolutely nuts game that could of ended 10-5

Hopefully this will give us a huge confidence boost and can be a turning point.

well done to vale Askey came with a plan and it worked.........We had 67% of the ball yet Vale had 11 shots on target.....They opened us up time and time again. Evatt did not learn from the Orient game......no fucking plan b

That last line is something that a lot of Vale fans have quite rightly criticised Askey for. Think a lot of it comes down to the fact our plan A which is all we really did just matches up well against your one if that makes sense. Got to say that lad Santos (and it's only the one time have seen him in fairness) looked possibly the worst centreback I've seen since we had big Exodus.

Thought Isgrove looked good for you when he came on. Rated him when he played against us for Swindon and was a little surprised they let him go.
