Yep, that's it, it's done now.

Woking I feel will get fifth comfortably, and with some of the "personalities" on this forum, it will be a lot less bearable.
Eh? Who else apart from Sparrow? :smug:

Good win for us today, and finally managed to score some of the chances we created. 2nd half we were excellent other than 5 minutes after Chester scored when I thought we might throw it away.

We did ride our luck late in the first half when to be fair Chester probably should have had a penalty, which would have resulted in Smith being sent off (although Smith was subbed off at HT as a result of the collision anyway).

Anyway another win for us and that is 32 points out of 39 against bottom half sides I think, if only we could have beaten a few from the top half....

It's been a strange year for the non-league forum. Really really strange. It's almost like 1FF appearing was a massive false dawn all things considered.

As for the match, our players mental strength is akin to tissue paper. Absolute cowards.

Mills was great first season for us when they weren't his players, end of that season he ripped the squad to bits and brought in a load of mercenary rubbish and it resulted in killing the dressing room. He was pretty rubbish in the transfer market, and when I saw your pre-season signings it looked a carbon copy of the average rubbish he brought in for us.

I guess he's similar to Clough, in that Clough needed Taylor to find the players for him.

Wilkin was great at recruitment but couldnt manage them to save his life. Maybe we should bring him back as head of recruitment.

Kristian didn't get a chance today , Halifax were the better team on the day and I can't remember the Halifax keeper having a worthwhile shot to save.
Anyone thinking they are going to get an easy 3 points against Halifax forget it on todays display

That was crazy, I'm not sure we'll see a finish to a game like that again in a long time.

Their penalty was seen by neither the ref or the linesman, but the ref ummed and ahhhed and eventually bowed to the pressure from the home crowd. It'll certainly be interesting to see the highlights. Scott Davies rightfully remonstrated with the ref, which really endeared him to the Barrow faithful and players who made him their pantomime villain for the rest of the game.

We went 3-1 down to two proper sucker punch goals while we were looking for a winner, and we all thought it was another nail in Brabin's managerial coffin. However, the first bit of passion and desire I've seen from Tranmere in a rather long time led to a most remarkable injury time comeback, silencing the goading from the home fans.

Overall, dull for the majority of the game, but I'd argue on balance of play Tranmere deserved the win. It was no classic, but the last 5 minutes certainly will be remembered.

I do wonder why he's even here sometimes.

I don't have to explain myself to anyone, especially wummers like your good self, but I am genuinely interested in lower league football, or in other words, League 2 downwards. Even when I'm in some European country, if I have time to go and watch a league match then I'll pick a lower division match every time.

As for my comment about Lincoln, I was only trying to jog Crazy's memory. Back in July/August, we were all doing our pre-season predictions, and after Pliny had Lincoln down as 16th, and I had them down as 15th, Crazy had this to say -

"Will we be as low as 15th/16th/17th? Haha, fuck off, absolutely not".

Everyone can interpret this in any way he sees fit. I was only trying to explain how predictable Lincoln are to neutral fans.

It looks to me like that there are some who think that the only posts worth reading are their own, and dismiss everyone else. Very arrogant imo, as all opinions are valid. But then again, I shouldn't be surprised as know-it-alls have been around ever since Adam and Eve.

.

Apart from Woking in two weeks time. If we get three points out of our bogey side then we should be considering giving Harvey the keys to the city.
Says a lot about Macclesfield's performance today when Rowe was voted your MOM yet only touched the ball half a dozen times in the second half three of those touches were terrible too.

Despite our recent form, many before the game were saying they could see the run coming to an end an would be happy with a point. Thankfully the belief we currently have in the dressing rooms exceeds that on the terraces.

Didn't go today (thank god) but out Twitter feed made it sound like we got much more than we deserved today and should have been many more than 1-0. Fair play to Halifax, turning it around.

We need to get back on a consistent run again. Though I did say it a couple of weeks ago, we're very much in a false position due to number of games played.

Don't wish an injury on anybody but here's hoping that's a wheel coming off.
Need to get an adequate replacement in assuming he's out for some time. He's been solid but I fear we'll miss his leadership qualities more than anything else.

Well that was an absolute farce of a match.

I pray that we are never reffed by the incompetent Brett fucking huxtable ever again - Mahon with an open goal and the keeper takes him out without even touching the ball and a goal kick is awarded.

Aldershots first 2 goals were the result of bad individual errors...story of our season. The third wasn't a surprise as we were committing everyone forward looking for an equaliser.

I'm 50/50 on whether the match should have been abandoned to be honest as if it had been like that this morning of the match there was no chance it would have started. Though to be fair by the time it got really bad there was only about 25 mins left.

Aldershot were very similar to us in that they have one or two very good individuals and the rest are bang average.

In other news, Tom Shaw continues to astound me with how utterly shite he is.

Re Vanni's post:

We still absolutely won't finish 15th or lower. If we do, I will leave the forum never to come back.

You have my word. Won't happen.

After Brackleys performance in a 4-1 defeat to us today I think you should steer clear. Whats happened to Manny Smith this season?
