What can I say about the Cup Final ? Gutted, friggin' gutted. Rangers dominated a large %age of the game but, although they had some excellent chances, near misses and even a penalty they just couldn't get the ball past Forster who had a fantastic game and pulled off some excellent saves especially the shot from Ryan Jack. As it turned out Celtic's goal was offside but in all honesty it was a close call and I've no problems with it because I hate VAR and would rather rely on the ref and linesmen to make decisions. Fair doos to Celtic...but I'm still trying to remember McGregor making a save.
On to Thursday past....home tie against Young Boys and a fine performance saw us making it through to the knock out stages with a 1-1 draw, YB equalising late on thanks to an OG.
Gers have a tough period coming up with 3 difficult away games starting at Motherwell tomorrow, Hibs next Friday then Celtic on the 29th and 1 home game against Killie on the 26th.
That's very magnaminous of you Leo.

He recovered to an extent but they have slipped into bad form again.

I wonder what has gone on here?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50797691

Naturally going to defend himself but clearly viewed as serious enough to be charged .
Probably been charged with a Breach of the Peace. I haven't seen any reports giving any information as to what went on, as in...'A bystander suggested that blah blah blah' which can be commonplace with the rags. Police who attended have obviously been of the opinion that evidence gathered is sufficient to charge the man. Robinson will have his day in court.

The game on Sunday last Sunday....I was a bit perplexed that it was going to be one of these days until we scored the first but after that, imo, there was no doubting the result. Motherwell had a couple of chances but failed to capitalise. Morelos got the 2nd but not long after, already being on a yellow, received a 2nd and was sent off for gesticulating to on e particular section of the Motherwell fans.....a 'get it up ye' gesture. Now, the ruling is that that kind of gesture is a yellow card offence so the ref actually 'going by the rules' got it correct....however considering the amount of abuse Morelos received from that particular section of fans I stand firm in my assertion that he (and any player/manager for that matter....I've defended Neil Lennon for the same in the past) should be able to give it back & the snowflake fans should be man enough to accept it. These Motherwell fans are quite vile tbh and not averse to assaulting Gers players with flag sticks in the past.

I couldn't agree more, the amount of abuse we as football fans give to players is ridiculous, always has been and always will be, dont get all upset when they score and give it back, they are well within their rights too imo, banter and giving stick out doesnt only work one way does it.

Have yet to watch my recording of the game last Friday at Easter Road against Hibs but by all accounts it was another excellent performance by the famous resulting in a 0-3 victory with goals from Kent, Aribo & that old guy ( ) DeFoe. Two serious incidents of note from the game. Firstly the horrendous 'challenge' on Barasic by Hibs centre back Porteous who was rightly red carded. Now this isn't the first time this boy has gone out of his way to do a Rangers player....Coullibaly last season was a victim of his out of order aggression. And secondly, while Barasic was lying down injured objects including a glass spirits half bottle were thrown at him from a Hibs section....the same section where last season Tavernier was attacked by a Hibs fan who ran onto the pitch and the same section where earlier Scott Sinclair of Celtic had a glass bottle thrown at him. Leanne Demster and other Hibs management will have to do something about these c***. But, you know what ? They were more concerned about singing by the bears. Talk about deflection ? Arseholes! And for the record I haven't a clue as to what songs were sung which Hibs deemed 'sectarian'. I'll certainly have a listen when I watch the game.
On to the Killie game at Ibrox on Boxing day...Yep....a home game, then away afuckingain to Parkhead in the 29th!

The challenge wasn't that bad mate, he went in hard and won the ball first cleanly but he did definitely go in with malice. Rangers were superb, the away end was in superb voice. Beat killie, need to avoid defeat at the piggery.

The challenge wasn't that bad mate,
Seriously....you think not ? I've not long watched the game mate and it was atrocious. If you watch it closely Porteous was going in for the challenge and he slowed up slightly to adjust himself for a full blooded swing and caught Barasic.....and his expression after the incident shows him up for having no concern.
I must apologise for what I said about the section where the bottle and other missiles were thrown on.....it wasn't where I thought it was, it was at the other side of the ground.
What I will disagree with regards the sectarian singing....when...when ....when ? Fuck all that I could hear....The Sash, Build My Gallows were sung...NOT SECTARIAN...so Hibs can go fuck themselves! Killie on Thursday.

As expected a dour, no interest in playing football Kilmarnock turned up at Ibrox on Thursday afternoon and from what I've heard were time wasting from not long after the start of the game ffs! Still it was Rangers job to break them down and despite a few first half chances they went in 0-0 at halftime. Second half, Jermaine DeFoe was subbed and on came Morelos to do what he does best....1-0 Gers and that was how it remained. On to Parkhead tomorrow for a huge game against Celtic....No predictions from me for that one....I'll take it as it comes.

Three weeks ago I was gutted.....yesterday I was elated, more elated than Nicola Sturgeon being asked for 'ANOTHER' selfie. Another game of almost total domination but on this occasion the Rangers prevailed.....and deservedly so. A fantastic pass from Barisic resulted in Ryan Kent sweeping in a more fantastic left foot shot into the net...0-1 Gers. Prior to that Celtic were awarded a penalty (missed thanks to a great save by MacGregor) for Katic (who was immense over the 90) pulling Jullien's jersey....fair enough, I agree that pens should be given for that, but......seconds before that Jullien was pulling Katic's jersey. Now given the fact that the ref Clancy was actually focused on these two players, how he ignored the tug by Jullien is mind boggling....but even more mind boggling is the fact that he was in a great position, when it came to Celtic's equaliser, he ignored the fact that their goal was scored courtesy of a deflection which came off Edouard's left hand.....check the rules Mr Clancy....it was an illegal goal! Second half Gers dominated most of the game again and deservedly took the lead thanks to a great header by Katic. Two points behind but a game in hand....looking good as long as we keep the pressure up! In the rags up here a lot has been made of Morelos (silly c*** for diving & being sent off) giving the tims a 'cut throat' gesture. Not a lot has been said about the fucking racist abuse he received while walking off.....prior to his gesture! PS....I have a video if there is any dispute.

Nae luck mate....don't know what kind of bet you had on but that wasn't the best of games to punt on. I've recently lost a couple of £60 bets on Rangers games over 2.5

This mid season break is probably going to benefit Celtic more as they need to work out how to beat Rangers at least once (possibly twice) more this season.

Neil Lennon is incapable of doing it. Announce 55.

What a pain in the arse that break was. Anyway it was back to domestic stuff starting last Friday where we hosted Stranraer in the Scottish Cup. A fairly mundane game going by reports and as it was being shown only on Premier Sports I couldn't watch or record but the famous earned their place in the next round courtesy of a 2-0 win. Away to Hamilton next on their shitey plastic pitch. Wednesday sees St Mirren coming to Ibrox for our first league game after the break & hopefully there is no downturn in league momentum.

Stendal at Hearts has made a lot of changes both on and off the pitch getting rid of old favourites it seems.

How has that gone down?

Guess it depends on the results !!

Gone down well today. Poor poor result for the gers. That's a draw and a loss at the bottom of the league.

A scrappy win against St Mirren, a loss at Tynecastle & a draw at home against Aberdeen.....bemused at how the form can go downhill so much after the winter break again!!!! At home to Hibs tonight....fingers crossed we get a decent win and that Celtic drop points at Fit Park.....doubt that tbh!

Gonna have to beat them twice one would now think, they've won 19 of their last 20 domestic games now and they are winning them easily. The 3 week break is a poor idea for both rangers and celtic, it means now they play midweek every single week up until the europa starts again then obviously that could continue, just cramming matches in, be better off without it full stop.

Yeah I agree mate but it is also games like Tynecastle, Pittidrie & especially against the sheep at home that we 'must' win. It's all and good outplaying Celtic in the LC albeit losing then doing the same at Parkhead and winning but we HAVE to get results at the homes of lesser teams. Away to Hamilton this lunchtime for the Scottish Cup....won't see it - Premier Sports...Perhaps on Radio Scotland for live commentary as it is an away game for us.

As for the winter break....load of nonsense imo. It was introduced supposedly due to the prospect of bad weather & we know how that went! Probably snow like fuck in April!

Aberdeen are the ones costing rangers year after year, such a bogey team. Fairly easy today just watched it. Gotta get back on the winning track and hope they can fuck up a couple of times.
