LJ now odds on for the job. Probably the most interesting out of those mentioned. I'd like it to happen, although fear the timing may be off.

If you think it's Pembo, stick your money on him at 6/4!

I stuck a speculative tenner on LJ so might have altered his odds a little bit, it doesn't take much after all. SL was gutted when his old man left and LJ is extremely well thought of within football by all accounts so it seemed a decent punt.
I can't believe a tenner would make that much difference but thought I should hold my hands up.
Still want Gary Monk TBH.

£10 wouldn't change the odds that drastically, a fair amount of money must have gone on.

Not sure Tom. It's not like we're Chelsea mate so not much would have been bet as we don't have a clue. Nobody apart from City fans are that bothered I would have thought but £10 wouldn't do a lot, that I do agree with.
Just being honest. Out of interest, he was 9/4 when my bet was lodged on Skybet.

For it to drop from 20/1 to 7/4 within a day before most even noticed is a bit strange - must be something in it.

The problem with LJ for me is that many will still want to give him stick for his time here, personally I was always a fan of his but a lot of people liked to boo him and get on his back quickly, if given the job I could see the same people wanting to get on his back quickly should he not be an instant success.

Infact just read OTIB it would appear some are already getting their torches and pitchforks out in preparation should he get the job.

No thanks. Two months ago Barnsley fans wanted him out. He hasn't achieved a thing yet. And as said above it wouldn't take the fans long to turn on him like the idiots did when he was a player.

All about timing, and I don't think now is it.

LJ would certainly be an interesting appointment.

Personally I'm not bothered that Barnsley aren't doing well at the moment, at the end of the day any manager currently out of work is because they have been sacked from their previous job.

Liked him as a player and would be OK with him being given a shot at City.

If he had never played for City I doubt people would be that interested. I actually liked him as a player but he hasn't proven much as a manager yet.

You can see the people on OTIB who had something against LJ before, already would have something against him as a manager.

Yep, the same happened with Cotterill. The ones who didn't want him at the beginning made their opinions very known. Then they waited 18 months for us to start doing badly so they could jump all over him and claim they were right all along, c***.

I didn't like Lee as a player, but he would definitely have my full backing as manager.

Yeah I admit I didn't really want Cotterill and said as much on he forum but no further then that. Once he was named manager I supported him because he was the manager, whoever comes in deserves a clean slate.

Although I don't want it to happen, I'm now tempted to put money on Pemberton at 13/8.

No, more the fact that Lansdown has said repeatedly that he very much dislikes Warnock and wouldn't employ him, however much we'd like him to.

My post was to inform those who perhaps are not constantly on OTIB etc of the latest that has been reportedly said. Your 'As if we didn't know that already' either indicates you being childish or arrogant! Pretty fucking needless pal.

Apologies if it came across like that mate, I was under the impression it was common knowledge that Lansdown wasn't ever going to employ Warnock under any circumstances, however much we'd like it to happen like I've already said.

We'd have appointed him a few years back if we were interested, he's always said he's wanted the job.
