It'll be Pemberton until the end of the season.

There wasn't a single redeeming factor about Warnock's time here. We've had loads of managers and failures in the last decade but I'd have pretty much all of them back ahead of him. Hockaday the only possible exception.

And I was happy when we appointed him.

Been thinkingthat for a while now. Not sure how I feel after the last couple of signings. A couple more decent players come on board then I'd expect us to stay up with whoever is in charge.

If it means a bigger name in the summer (someone who doesn't want to risk relegation now) would that be such a bad thing?

I'm not sure. Just one big mess.

I take back what I just said. Someone's just posted on otib that Ayling is out for a month at least. That means Little at right back.

Relegate us now.

Yeah City have just posted it 4-6 weeks out. Think I'd rather trust Wes or Wagstaff at right back then Little :ffs:

Time for Cotterill to be re-employed now we have a squad and he can't go for players that are too good for us.

The longer this goes on the longer it looks like Pemberton. Not sure what it says about us as a club; nothing good if that's the best we can do.

Again, it shows the board up as an embarrassment given Ashton said 'you'd be surprised at some of the applications we've had'.

I really don't fucking want Warnock.. he's a prick.

That he is, but I'd like our chances of staying up under him. Still think he's our best realistic option.

You'd rather Warnock over Sherwood?
As far as I can tell, all the Bristol City fans think Warnock would be good and all fans of other teams think he'd be crap. I'd much prefer Sherwood (or Michael Appleton, who also seems to have written off).

Why? Warnock has got more promotions in this league than any other manager IIRC, despite his age he's clearly still capable of organising a side like he did in his month for QPR earlier this season.

Warnock is the obvious candidate, he won't come here though - like I've said before he's already burnt his bridges with our owner.

I think he's past his best. I'd rather have someone younger who's coming up than someone who's on the way down.

Sherwood wasn't a revelation at Spurs, and was a disaster at Villa this season. Warnock knows this league well; experience comes with age. He'd be my preference of the realistic options.

Of the 'younger' Managers our COO seems to favour (that came out wrong), Personally, I would prefer Monk out of all of them but suspect we're getting Pembo until the seasons' end.

I'd rather Warnock if on the basis it's till the end of the season only, think we'd stand a good chance of surviving under him and then look to get someone in.

Exactly this. Warnock is a fucking bell-end, almost on a level with Cotterill.

I don't want either Tom! Just hoping we can kick on till season end and then look around. The right guy may be in work at the moment who knows.

If you stay up and Gillingham don't come up then if I was you, stealing Edinburgh would be my number one priority.

Have to admit to admiring his work so far mate. I like the whole up-and-coming ethos too....Warnock strikes me as the man-motivator type (and let's face it...old) and I'm don't think that's what we need.

I seem to remember a few of your lot praying that you didn't return to the strategy of signing old past-it players on long contracts? Surely the same applies to your manager?

Problem with that is he would forfeit his pay off from Villa
