I went to see Trinity play Harrogate yesterday. Fantastic really from our lot, could have been 4 or 5 but you have to take the win against a good Harrogate side. You can always rely on old Stampy to score when coming on late on. 3 wins in 4 in the league now and that is with a mini injury crisis, perhaps things are looking up now and we can start looking up rather than down.

Attendance: 404

Just back from an extended weekend in Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth

Lowestoft 1 (Reed 65) Alfreton 0

Its the same match report every week now. Missed a truckload of chances, make our obligatory error at the back, the opposition pounce and win the game.
To be fair safe to say the weather conditions didnt help at all. But I am getting to the end of my tether with the situation at the club at the moment.

We have no coherent strategy at all. Our Chairman wants out and isnt willing to invest a single penny in the club which is an absolute detriment to the club. This attitude has got down to the players now too. Our manager doesnt care and is too comfortable. Its a shambles.

The status quo cannot remain. We need fresh faces and a change in direction desperately

Curzon Ashton 1-0 Telford United.
Decent set up at Curzon (1st visit) really like the ground. But once again, a day out at the football, was ruined by the football. First time I have genuine concerns about being relegated. Rob Smith is constantly changing the team, stop it.

Looks like we will be following each other again down to the Northern Premier

Alfreton 1 (Bradley 6) 2 AFC Flyde (Hardy 68, Hughes 78)

Still have no idea how we have come away from that empy handed. Again missed chances cost us. Although we limited Fylde to few chances two devastating breaks orchestrated by Matty Hughes proved to be our downfall.

I am refraining from too much criticism though because tonight was much improved. Meikle was very impressive on home debut. Bradley had another good game. Even donkey Joe Ironside put himself about and had a decent game. Debutant Brad McGowan caught the eye with some good clearances too. We MUST build on today start taking our chances and learn how to keep clean sheets.

Having said all of above i still believe however its time for Nicky to part ways.

Anyway Saturdays game with Whaley Bridge must be viewed as a confidence building exercise and a go fill you boots exercise for the strikers before our must win game against Bradford PA on the 19th!!

The most infuriating thing about today has to be why dint we perform like that against the weaker sides who dont have the quality on the break that Flyde have! :hb::hb:

Another win for Lincolnshire's biggest side, 9 points off play-offs and 9 points of relegation.

We finally ended our awful run with a 4-0 win away at Corby, Margetts with two from the spot and even Odejayi miraculously getting a goal.
A proper test awaits next week as we travel to Boston.

Bernard McNally Sacked at Hednesford. No surprise at all really. They were fucking shte against us. And with just 1 league win in his 11 games in charge. They conceded a massive 28 goals during his time too including cup games!

They signed 3 duffers from us in the close season - actually, that's a bit harsh. Williams wasn't really a duffer.

Frank Sinclair announced as his successor. Has previous at this level. Kept Colywn Bay up after being 9 points adrift abd kept Brackley up last season too. Sensible appointment I think.

It surprises me, at this level of fottball, how quickly the fortunes of a team can vary from one year to the next. Two years ago, Hednesford were quite a handful, and were ten minutes away from reaching the Conference North playoff final. Telford bossed the title and have barely won a game since,Brackley lost in the playoff final 3 years ago and likewise, are a poor outfit once again.Hyde are in freefall, Alfreton are struggling, and then there's County.

Quite ... and Altrincham are near to becoming an established National League team ........again.

Did Hednesford lose players in the summer, or was it just down to poor management from Bernie?

Alfreton 0-1 Bradford PA (King 15)

Never seen a bigger set of clueless idiots then those who "wore" the shirt today. No pride passion or desire. Absolute pathetic. One of he worst performances I have seen for a while and trust me I have seen quite a few in the past 18 months or so!!

There is something seriously wrong at the club. A general feeling of no ambition to get out of this downward spiral and almost a resignation that we are facing another relegation. Our Chairman has been quoted as saying that the Northern premier is our Natural Level.

Its obvious the general couldnt care less attitude has got down to the players. The fans deserve better

The only person to emerge with an ounce of pride from today was Lindon Meikle.

Boston fan from Birmingham?
That's a first.

Boston fan from Boston, living in Brum.
We put 4 past Stockport, who had plenty of the ball (especially early on) but did nothing with it. I've rarely seen a team lose their heads and discipline like they did after we started scoring, they were an embarrassment to the 121 who bothered coming down. Surprised they kept all 11 on the pitch. 3 wins in a row for us and we're starting to get to the stage where points on the board outweight opponents' games in hand. Taking advantage of winnable games over Xmas could see us cement a top 5 place.

Is anybody really surprised that Neil Young will never achieve again what he achieved at Chester?

Not unless he can outspend his rivals like he could back then. I've read about some silly money being thrown around there when they started
