Stockport County 0-1 Telford United.
We've won an away game! Curtis Tilt, our centre back had a cracking game and County rarely troubled us. We possibly shaded the game on chances though Stockport were poor. Heading for a goalless draw until the County keeper had a rush of blood, up ending Reid for a stone wall penalty two minutes from time. A rare ray of sunshine, in a truly awful season. (7 away goals in 12 games, 2 wins 10 defeats on the road).

How's Peniket been doing for you? He really started to look the business for us last season before his injury.

How's keil O'Brien doing for you? Was great at us

Played a few games for us and was no great shakes without being poor. It was obvious he hadn't played football for a while and obvious injuries were ruining his career.

He was struggling to stay fit and went back unfortunately.

Penikett is doing OK "without pulling up any trees", so to speak. Played out of position, wide right Saturday, needs a run up top. Your centre-back, Graham Hutchison is decent, solid and consistent.

Do you think you will survive this season?

I hope Telford survive, so we can play them next season.

I'm not so sure based on what I've seen this season. I think we will get relegated. If we do, it will be a terrible waste, as I think it wouldn't have to be so. Altrincham does not have a proactive and /or dynamic management team, hence reaching the half way point of the season with 4 long-term injured players and no replacements, in a squad of 18.

That's good to see! Hutchison suffered with the rest of the side and probably more to be honest. Confidence looked completely shot.

ER may be right,. and having the money to pay for these replacements has nothing to do with it :£

Fact is, Alty have pretty much the same side we left CN with, most are very good players and we play the game the right way, but last season we were very fortunate with few injuries (we didnt loan a single player last year) but this year we have lost 4 really key men, and Clee has been unable to play more than a few minutes and is now out for the season probably, all of whom are high earners and still have to be paid. Plus, our management feel continuity and team spirit matter most, whereas many clubs approach it differently and chop and change constantly, some succeed, some dont but usually they bankrupt the clubs trying which we wont do. ER is in the latter camp, thats his opinion, which I respect, I trust our manager and think he will find a way like he has done each season so far.

If we can get a couple of decent loanees or signings (have one so far but not played yet so dont know how good he is) I think we will survive, but understand surviving is and has always been our ambition.

Do I think Telford will be relegated? In a word, Yes. We have been awful all season and frankly deserve to be. As an fan, I hope we do survive, but I am buying a new AA road map for the Northern Premier League. Luckily, the likes of Stourbridge and Rushall Olympic are only down the road, so at least I'll be home for tea.

So basically you're saying that Altrincham don't have a dynamic and / or proactive management team?

Josh Hine leaves Chorley and signs for Salford. Big blow to Chorley. Couldnt have timed it any better for us though!

Apparently he wanted to go as well, but it sounds like we didn't even put up a fight to keep him

Our first meaningful game for a fortnight tomorrow when we Host Chorley at the Impact.

We seem to be on the crest of a wave at the moment. Confident and hungry for success which is great to see. Scored 9 and Conceded 1 in our County Cups Outings recently too. Chorley have sold their top scorer to Salford this week so it appears to be a good time to play them. We have only won 3 home league games all season though. Need to improve that starting with tomorrow hopefully.

I see Nuneaton have lost a couple of their, presumably, best players to Posh.

Alfreton 1 (Meikle 81) Chorley 0

Another strong and impressive performance from us today. We are really looking like a solid outfit now with the players visibily playing with an "we attitude rather than a "me" attitude as Nicky put it in his post match interview.

Brad McGowan and Tom Allan (how had his best game by a mile) were rock solid at the back. Sam Jones Meikle and Dan Bradley were a constant threat all afternoon. We should have won by at least 2 more really. Sam Smith missed too guilt edge chances in the First half. One unmarked from a Corner which he headed over and the second when he headed a pinpoint Dan Bradley cross straight at the keeper. Chorley were a solid, physical hard working unit who made it difficult for us. But it was us who made all the running and had all the best chances. Andy Bond played well for Chorley though and set up there only real chance for an umarked Jordan Connerton who headed over.

As for the goal. A strong run from the impressive and MOTM Allan ended with his shot deflecting straight to meikle who showed real composure to tuck it past the keeper.

Just such a shame that the run of 10 games where we couldnt buy a win has killed us in terms of play-offs. Very satisfied with the way things are looking for 2016 though. We look we really have found our feet now.

"the force is strong with this one"

What happened to Solihull today?!
No idea. But one thing I will say Harrogate look a very useful side against us even though we beat them. I think they have been threatening this kind of result for a while. Not saying the fact it was by such a margin didnt surprise me, it did but by the same token I wasnt surprised to see Harrogate win. Could well be the two sides to come up those.
