Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Curzon 3-1 Worcester

Enjoyable 2nd half, 1st was all Curzon but lacking real chances. 2nd half began all Curzon, but Worcester took lead with a good long range finish, Curzon pressed like anything but it just wouldn't go in, but finally go breakthrough.

At 1-1 Worcester dominated and had a header looking like it was in all the way go over, then another great chance soon after.

Curzon grabbed lead at time against run of play, Worcester hit post then Curzon grabbed a third on break with Worcester chasing.

Deserved win based on overall game, but Worcester will rue their spell at 1-1 and failure to grab lead

Another clean sheet and another home win as we (in the end) ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Gloucester City - I have to admit I'm surprised at how much our results have improved in such a short space of time with only three additions to the squad.

We've gone from relegation worries to thinking their might even be the slightest chance of getting into playoffs

Hednesford 3-3 Alfreton (Payne pen 13, Pen 24, Fitzwater 37) (Heaton 32,Bradley (pen 65, Smith 70)

WARNING - LENGTHY POST AHEAD
Well where the fuck do I start with today? The defending on show from both sides was Midland League not Conference North.

Truly disastrous first half. 2 penalties and down to 10 men after 23 minutes is ridiculous. Can no complaints with either penalty decision or the Sending off. Really poor from Sam Jones. Blatant stamp on the Hednesford defender right in front of the ref. He had no choice.

The ref really struggled to keep control though. Things threatened to boil over on multiple occasions with Frank and Sinclair and Nicky Law squaring up to each other at one point
We were so bad at the back in the first half it was almost laughable. Hendesford were awful and we made them look great. Niall Heaton did head home his first goal for the club from a Corner.

We came out second half on a mission. We were much the better side and it was difficult to tell who had the 10 men. MOTM Dan Bradley again. Jesus he is wasted in the Conference North. Hednesford just good not cope with him. The Ref awarded the third penalty of the game to us with 25 minutes to go after a blatant tug back on Sam Smith. Bradley made no mistake from 12 yards before 5 minutes later his corner was headed home by Sam Smith to make it 3-3. Dan Bradley then pulled several top saves out of the Hednesford keeper as we pushed for a winner. We almost chucked it away at the end though as Peers bundled through before being denied by Matt Duke.

We regressed badly though today. Back to our pre christmas kamikaze defending. It could have been 6-6 today. Neither defence had an ounce of composure in them.

The atmosphere began to get quite Toxic at the end with Hednesford fans shouting abuse at their own Directors/Chairman

I cant tell you how bad Hednesford where. The worse team at this level by a mile. Absolutely doomed IMO. Will probably finish bottom.

Chorley 2-0 Boston
Stayed over in Manchester with some other supporters and rather than train it from there we drove.. only to blow out on the M61 10 miles from Chorley. Got picked up by the fans bus and watched us play alright until Chorley scored. Then it was entirely predictable that we wouldn't get back into the game without Dayle Southwell. Hit the post before conceding a 2nd. Very disappointing as I felt Chorley were there to be got at.
Had better days....

Ridiculous decision, what do they want, blood? Impossible for a play-off place with their budget.
They have a budget capable of play offs.

I presume unlike myself you are not friendly with the owner and therefore have no idea what you're going on about?

He was leaving at the end of the season anyway.

Good result for us yesterday, only 6 points off the play offs with a game in hand! Wish we had beaten Telford last week!

Arrogant Town 0-1 Telford United. Get in! Harrogate missed 3 sitters in the first 20 minutes. Sub Grogan scores just before half time. Then we were fairly comfortable after that in the 2nd half. We will stay up now, no problem. 1st visit to Harrogate, decent set up, you can see they have spent a bit money on the ground, as well as the team, unlike Solihull?

Yeah a couple of years ago the ground looked very Northern Prem but now it's looking like a half decent Conference ground. Wonder what they'll do at the clubhouse end though, bit limited space there

Does anyone know what the situation is with the building of Worcester City's new ground at Nunnery Way?

Has this new build commenced?

Has the money from the sale of St George's been spunked?

I know they have left Aggorough, but shouldn't they be back in Worcester by now.

Just asking.

I think the council are blocking the new build, there was loads of protests at their FCUM match a week or so ago. But they'll probably be playing at Bromsgrove next season.

I need some info from them here.

My next Curzon game is bank hol Monday, they are home to fcum, who I expect will bring lots as its a doddle to get to for them, plus crucial time of season and bank hol.

This is my first game ever where opposition support at home game will be 10 times higher than own team support.

When this happens as home fans so you doggedly keep your spot? Is it safe being among away fans? Are you best to move with other home fans

We've signed Will Beesley permanently from Southport and Micah Evans on loan from Stockport.

You'll be absolutely fine. Most fans will wander round to be behind the goal their own team are shooting towards but it's up to you.

It'll be a bitg crowd but very friendly I would imagine.

Stockport on fire at the moment.

Can they still make the play-offs?

If they carry on winning it must be a possibility.

We were utter rubbish. FC were strong hard working strong at the back and wanted it more than us. We were flat and looked every inch a middle table side. Looks like this season is going to end with a whimper.

Must say the goalscorer George Thpmson for FC looks a player. Best player on the pitch by a mile today.

Goals in the 93rd and 94th minute following what sounded like our worst display since Gannon returned :bg1:

We have North Ferriby away on Saturday and Fylde at home on Monday, if we manage to gain 4/6 points from them two then we have a chance of making it as our remaining fixtures after that are favourable.

Somehow managed to let slip a lead at home to Ferriby. They scored from 2 set pieces and their swift reply to our opening goal knocked the stuffing out of us. Suppose when results aren't going for you, you find ways to lose such games... same at Chorley.
Amazingly though if we beat Tamworth and Nuneaton, we'll be back in control of things! That 5th side will end up sub 70 points in all likelihood.
Good crowd today but everyone was so deflated at the late goal, Can't see there being much over 1,000 for the Brackley game

^ Brown and Robinson play?

It's gone from loking like 4 from 5 for the PO's to 4 from 8 in the space of a handful of games.

Robinson looked more lively than Jones/Sands- not hard but made a couple of opportunities, just narrowly missed them. Brown did well against the sort of side he should do well against, but it's a weird league.... looked 5 from 6 for the playoffs with long gap behind. Now it looks like top 4 well set and 5 sides fighting over 5th. Be a laugh if the 5th team went up (more so if it's us) as the total points would be low, but weirdly, that side would probably do ok in the Conference

Come on Boston, pull your finger out. We're likely losing Grimsby this season. Used to find it great fun going to York Street.

Most Chester fans thought the same, but dear Mr Burr hardly gave him a look in.

I know, been shocking since Jordan Richards got recalled from his loan, not put in a convincing performances in 2 months. Grimsby will probably end up finding a way to lose playoffs. Would be good to play Lincoln/Grimsby one last time at YS. You'll have no match within about 70 miles next year potentially.

Am very much looking forward to Monday now and Curzon vs fcum.

While I am not yet attached enough to be fully involved this is, as such the closest thing to a proper derby I've ever experienced, we don't have them in Carlisle.

Plus must be a massive game for Curzon, a big money earner and 2,000 instead of 200.

Seems like we're gonna be took over by the borough council, better than the old owner (Trevor hemmings) hope they're better owners and actually care about the club!
