Their chairman Carter has said they could go out of business in the next 12 months

I notice a strong Hednesford XI were thrashed 5-2 by Coleshill in the Birmingham Senior Cup last night. They have some pretty serious defensive issues and could be troubling the bottom three soon.

Been away for a little while. But things are looking up after a slow start. Slowly catching the moors at the top.

Confidence is high right now and after scoring 9 goals you can't blame them to be.

I hand on heart do believe that if we are above or close enough to the moors in January we will buy big for that push. I imagine there do the same so could be an exciting push

We don't have as much cash as you to just buy a load of quality players, if we think we have a chance of winning the league. I'm looking forward to our away trip to Fylde just before Christmas, where hopefully we're still at the top.
You have that distraction of the FA Cup though :P1:

I see your crowds are still pretty low, considering you're moving into a 4000 seater stadium, it's going to be pretty empty isn't it?

Solihull - is your ground up to standard for promotion?
I believe we were looking like we were going to get to the play offs a few years ago, so seats were put into the Shed End, I'm assuming that put it up to Conference prem standard, however there are still 2 undeveloped sides. There are plans to have a stand built behind the other goal ready for the 2016/17 season.

Well the ground is being built in kirkham and wesham it will be back into the town where a lot of people don't travel to games as it's a pain to get to.

Plus it will be next to the train station which will make it easier for people from Blackpool like myself, Lytham and from Preston. I know a number of people who would go when it's in the new ground due to location.

Plus if we go up were attract more fans do to the success. Probably mostly Blackpool fans who are avoiding the club due to the Oystons.

Don't get me wrong it will look empty to start with but it means the club's going in the right direction and more people will take an interest.

Fleetwood started in a simular situation and are doing well for them selves. You walk round blackpool and you see more and more Fylde flags in windows as days go on.

What's gone wrong at Telford? I'll try not to bore you.
Firstly the board when sacking Liam Watson, issued a mandate for more local players, then hired a Barnsley based Yorkshire man with no local knowledge of the West Midlands non-lge football scene! Anybody with a pair of boots was invited down in pre-season, funnily enough most were Cheshire / North West based? 5 or 6 were signed and then left before the season had even started. Main problem is we can't score goals, 4 in 12 games is simply a receipe for a fast track to relegation. However, small shoots of recovery are being made with the re-appointment of Rob Smith & Larry Chambers, but they need to sort out the front line very, very quickly. I do think we will, just, avoid relegation.
There is an under current of apathy with the Trust board, who are basically a bunch of good-intentioned amateurs, with no business sense. The football club needs re-modelling from the bottom upwards to a more business-like model. People need to be hired and accounted for to run the football club professionally. Not relying on a few good intentioned volunteers. Lee Carter has taken on a job with the local council as well, so it would be interesting to know how much time is now split between being MD of Telford United and his new role with the council?
News headlines, such as "we could fold in 12 months", may make good copy for the Shropshire Star, and try to act as a wake call to fans. But, it does have the opposite effect as well, and apathy spreads like wild fire to the 600 missing "fans" and armchair / floating fans in Telford. Be interesting to see the attendance tomorrow against, funnily enough, Liam Watson's Stalybridge Celtic.

Went to AFC Fylde's Kellamergh Park a fortnight ago with Telford. I was pleasantly surprised with it. A lot better than people gave it credit for. Also, drove passed the site of their new ground at Mill Farm. Impressive looking main stand is currently being built.
Solihull's ground is basic at best, you'll need to build that planned new stand very quickly. Any plans available on line to view?

1-1 draw with Tamworth. Good performance and we had quite a few out injured. Fylde have taken over us at the top, we need to start winning again.
No game next week, we're out the cup :hb:

Hi Welcome.

I think AFC Flyde and even Harrogate will have something to say about that!
Don't forget about us!

A 2-0 win against BPA yesterday cementing our place in the top five, a real belief mounting that we can challenge for top spot especially if we can win at Solihull next week.
A new striker hopefully coming in before then - possibly a Danny Hattersley return - he could potentially work very well with Odejayi if he can get his confidence up.

We're going up this year. I've stuck another tenner on us to win it, so £25 altogether.

We have the best squad, the only reason we're not top is because Everton's u21 striker got injured.

We were shite in the first half yesterday, we flicked a switch and within 20 mins of the second half the game was won.

Also, we haven't had a fully fit squad to choose from all season.

Massive game next week against Solihull.

I wouldn't agree with that, we went through a spell where we weren't creating chances so the absence of Dyson hasn't been.a major factor.
O'Hanlon being out next week is a major blow I really hope it doesn't affect us too much.

Dyson played out wide too often when he was here, if he played upfront every week he'd be on nearly 10 goals imo, but with Evans, who esentially has 3 in 3 if it wasn't for that wrongly disallowed goal against Curzon, we have a new striker.

No-one at the club has mentioned O'Hanlon's ban, he was even interviewed after the game and no-one said anything, normally bans in this league start the game after when it should so maybe he'll just miss Chorley at home?

JK talked about him having a week off, I'm guessing that is what he was hinting at.

Going off the FA website I'm pretty sure he will be missing the Solihull game. I know Young has a loan defender targeted in case of an injury but I'm not sure if he will bring him in for just one game.

Telford threw it away yesterday. 2-0 up against Boston, had a man sent off and then Boston scored straight away and got an equaliser not long after.

We go to Telford next week for our SIXTH Straight away game.

A defeat and we will begin to look over our shoulders at the bottom three.

This league is ridiculous, how can you have 6 away games in a row? We had 3 or 4 home games in September and 1 this month, we play Solihull twice in a month which is stupid

Can't wait til next season

Yes thats right. We have had 3 straight away cup draws

That means it's only been a little silly to give you home games on the cup dates which is what has caused this I guess?
