Dropping Harrison after saving a point on Saturday would be hard on the lad Tom .

I may have missed this one - but which are the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st?
I'll have to try and find it, it was a survey run by the FL in summer, but from memory the other four were (and I don't know about the order)
Plymouth v Exeter
Plymouth v Portsmouth
Mansfield v Notts County
Luton v Cambridge (well it was definitely Luton v someone, maybe even Wycombe)

I think we are more looking towards Donny as our 'big game ' this year ....dual carriageway all the way there and a go on a motorway !! ....

Yes it is .....around Scotched Corner ... its never ending ....unlike the road improvements into Hartlepool , they are never starting ........ yooos lot over there may be technically more remote than us , but you have a damn good motorway and railway track you can use ..

I will maybe do* a league's biggest travellers using hours instead of miles for you

*If I can be arsed, which I usually can't

I wasn't there on Saturday to be fair - but I don't think that clearance is worthy of keeping him in. He is still shit, despite looking okay in the last few weeks. From the few people I spoke too, Richards played well (didn't he get MOTM?) - he also played very well at Grimsby. More harsh to drop him than Harrison for me. Even from the highlights on Pools Player, Harrison makes about 4 or 5 mistakes that could've led to goals.

To be fair, he would probably thrive against Jabo as he loves a good physical battle - but it would probably culminate in a red card. Toto will have Jabo in his back pocket, leaving Donnelly to sweep up the scraps.

If both your centre backs are planning on marking Jabo though, Miller will have a field day. If you think Toto is going to handle Jabo better then I presume Harrison's job will be to watch Miller.

Miller likes to try and spring the offside trap, he isn't the fastest forward in the world but he tends to perch himself right on the line, get caught offside a few times but then that one or two times he'll beat it and find himself through on goal.

I presume that Harrison's job will be to warm the bench ready for Amond to be rested for 30 minutes when he scores his hat-trick goal.

Toto and Donnelly both have pace. Toto can keep Jabo frustrated, and Donnelly will have no problems with Miller. Should be a comfortable clean sheet for us.

I don't want to jinx it but you do know we've scored in 17 consecutive competitive games? I'm sure if you do manage what the likes of Plymouth, Portsmouth, Derby, Port Vale and Doncaster didn't and keep a clean sheet against us it won't be 'comfortable' :P

The Griffin, Court Square & The Magpie, Victoria Road (just off Warwick road from M6) are your pubs in Carlisle Saturday.

What's the verdict on this lot for those of us travelling?

I don't want to alarm you too much, but we have kept TWO clean sheets in 15 games this season. Impressive, huh?

I've never really heard of the Magpie as a football pub before, that's a new one on me, never been in there myself but I imagine it will be away fan friendly. Part of the State Management Trail for beer-history fans.

The Griffin is pretty convenient for those arriving by train, I like it. It's a Greene King owned pub (as is the Beehive) over two floors, good selection of beer Sky Sports, nice and lively.

While the Beehive is probably going to be off-limits to Poolies, away fans tend to congregate in the clubhouse of the Rugby Club next door to Brunton Park.

I think HG posts on When Saturday Comes

There's still nothing to see at Carlisle, we might be third and have just broken our hitherto forgotten about 'most unbeaten games at the start of a season' record*, but let's face it that's nowt to write home about cos we've always been shite, and let's face summat else, it'll be downhill from here. There's no point getting excited.
And in a natural progression from [the above] doom-laden prognosis, I'd just like to add that another win last weekend means nowt in the overall scheme of things, cos it merely serves to line us up for a home game this Saturday with local(ish) rivals Hartlepool, in front of a large, expectant crowd at Brunton Park, where we will inevitably do what we always do on such occasions and turn in a flat, lifeless performance in defeat that sends the twice-a-year big game glory hunters home grumbling that it was a load of shite and they wouldn't be back, and yet another opportunity to build up our 'regular' support will have been pissed away....

I was curious after seeing that quoted on the Bunker and decided to check out WSC. Having seen the post in context I think it's much more tongue-in-cheek, they have a thread entirely devoted to playing down your club's chances of success and the guy who wrote the above always references how well we're going in his posts about how bad we are.

We had him on trial from Fulham , never really impressed , had him hanging around for a week after the squad was announced deciding if we could afford him , sold the naming rights and signed him ....Whilst sat on our bench , Northen Ireland under 21s called him up ...Higgy then decided to bring him on as sub to see what all the fuss is about , and suddenly he's our most important player we've ever had and it's a disaster when he's unavailable

shoddy, I forgot to mention the fact that one of those incredibly impressive clean sheets we kept was when we faced that guy you are signing from Mansfield in January. Kept him quiet, didn't we; akin to a 4 year old child watching them Kinder Egg videos on that Youtube. Silent in fact.

What chance has Jabo got if that guy you are signing from Mansfield to replace him couldn't even score.

Comfortable I tell you.

Mansfield with Green in the team is a different weave to Carlisle with Green in the team. It's all in the detail.

We're gonna fucking muller Hartlepool on Saturday and we'll nick their only decent player off them in January for no more than a fiver.
Now don't cry Poolie fans because that's a lot of money for a shitty little swinging dick club like yours.

Carlisle 4-0 Hartlepool is what I'm gonna go for.

This 'little ' club doesn't go into a panic when there's a chance the ground might be 1/3 full....
