Dog rough.

Now, what's your offer?

I've not really got anything to offer you Kev other than a punch. It would be a massive privilage for it to be from me. Something to tell the grand kids. ;)

bit of aggro in front of the beehive. Not sure what the logic was of the police taking the chimp suspenders down the same side of the road as the pub containing most of the drunk Carlisle fans.

how much money does referee have on a Hartlepool win? Miller gets sent off to two yellows, one of which for taking a shot after the whistle had gone for offside. A throw in decision goes against Hartlepool, their player scops it away. No booking

We were a long way from our best today, but there's positives to take from that. We were a bit disjointed, didn't defend particularly competently, and Hartlepool seemed to threaten the most but we still dug in and have plenty of quality at set pieces so we can always get goals. You know what they say about playing badly and still winning.

GREAT MATCH WASN'T IT!!

When we went down to ten men and they equalised I thought that would be our unbeaten run over. However, Danny Grainger scores a brilliant fucking goal and we go on and win after being pegged back again!

Never a dull moment being a Carlisle fan.

Hartlepool must be livid after conceding 2 goals straight after scoring and failing to get a result against 10 men. That's why you're so average and we're so much better. :smug:

What do you expect if you can't defend? Poor for all three goals although the second was a good strike.

Third was diabolical corner defending against 10 men. Aside from that we were largely the better team and played the most football. Kick in the teeth not to get anything.

Big up to the Cumbria Police nobheads treating this as Rangers vs. Celtic. Never as much aggro in Hartlepool as there is here.

I though you played well but we still had the better chances, Jabo and Miller missing huge chances at 1-0. Probably the best team to come to Brunton Park this year but shite defensively.

Those two central defenders didn't half have Jabo in their pockets :animatedf:

Funniest moment was the Hartlepool fans chanting "You're not singing anymore!" after they equalised, then we go up and take the lead again with a great strike and sing the chant right back at em!

They never sang when they equalised again, I wonder why?

Well they knew we'd take the lead straight after again and that is exactly what happened.

Threw the game away today awful defending our forward play is too bloody slow & why the best left winger in the league is all of a sudden is stuck on the right were he's not as effective is beyond me.fair play to Carlisle though, very good at set pieces

It's probably the second game I've seen this season where our ability at set pieces has earned us more than we probably deserved. Ultimately that's why teams end up having unbeaten runs and being in the top three.

It would be nice if Hignett actually played players in their correct positions, why is Thomas being played wide right? Donnelly whilst having a decent game today was fucking wasted in centre mid, he's been a rock in the defence with Toto in recent games, why take him out of it for Harrison who looks like a park player.

We didn't deserve anything today, some good spells yes, looking at the stats, 15 shots and only 3 on target, that is piss poor, can't even hold on for a point against 10 men for 35 minutes.

Keith Curle said Northampton were the best team at set pieces last season by a mile, so he's obviously seen that as something we should try to be good at.

We started slow but once the first 15min were out of the way then I thought we were in complete control up until the sending off.

The referee was an absolute arse. Millers second yellow, fair do's - but the first was ridiculous given that a Hartlepool lad done the same thing just 5min later yet he didn't get anything?

Still unbeaten...

He may be shite but he is still ahead of those two sick notes Jones and Bates, both of which should never of been given contracts, Bates has had a dead leg for 3 months.

What happened with Miller's second yellow by the way? I was down in the Warwick so wasn't even sure which way the foul had gone, then I glimpsed a flash of red from the ref, some confusion among the people around me not sure whether or not we'd just seen a red card get shown and a man in blue is trudging off the field, nobody knew why. Someone said deliberate handball, but why? Did he think he'd been awarded a free kick or something?

I'll give you Bates , not Jones .....didn't Bates have a dead leg for a few months last year too ? He'll be out for a Chinese Burn next !

How do you get a dead leg for three months? Sounds very champ-man that does.

The bloke is made of glass, comes back from an injury plays one game and is gone again for 2 months.

Second yellow was for deliberate handball looking at the highlights, wasn't sure at the time but it's plain to see on video.

Stupid from Miller.
I missed the first yellow card so was fairly shocked to see the red card, no complaints mind.

There was a great atmosphere today, the team got the support they'vw deserved.

Is Hignett a good manager? Or Is he just going to end up being another flop for the Pools?

I've seen the highlights now... the BBCRC commentators had no complaints about the second yellow after the game but I was still unsure what it was for. Looks like he gets bundled over and thinks he can 'accidentally' knock the ball to another United player with his hand. Stupid really because even if the ref doesn't think it's deliberate he's still going to give a foul against him, but I guess you don't know what thinking about their actions players get to make in these split-seconds, still believe the first yellow was a bit harsh, I remember a similar incident with Robin van Persie in the Champions League where taking a shot after the whistle had blown led to his second yellow and most pundits seemed to believe it was harsh. Good fucking job Wyke's injury turned out to be minor.

By the way, police evidence gatherers in Cumbria are a bit low-tech

His name is Graham Twyford and he'll be exhibiting in the Edwin Talbot Gallery on Crosby Street on the 3rd of December.

I believe Fleming is the driving force .....we tend to get managers , Ronnie Moore included , who don't know how or when to use substitutes ........as touched upon by others , it appears to be a mistake to offer contracts to 2 senior players well known for missing big chunks of seasons

Hignetts put together a decent side, but plays lads out of position too much.
He's in his first managerial job though & I hope he learns by his mistakes
Curles managed a few clubs & has had 3 years at Carlisle, hopefully Hignett will do the same for us.
