What a ridiculous comment by the MP - though I supppse he’d have to say that.

That there was even a vote in the first place is equally damning.

When will people like this MP accept that it would be a seriously dangerous precedent to set to "reprieve" Bury in this fashion? Not to mention how unfair it would be when other clubs have had to start from the bottom and rebuild. Besides, even if they were reprieved, it's surely a matter of time until the current club goes bust anyhow, what with the levels of debt they have.

James Frith should concentrate on calling people names in parliament.

Thank you and goodnight, it's been a blast.
The last 134 years have passed in the blink of an eye.
At least we have found out who our friends are before we went.
I hear we're organising a knees up so we can thank them as soon as we find a clean enough phone box.

............or you could focus on rebuilding, and coming back as a sustainable well run club with a future.

Bury FC 24/04/1885 to 27/08/2019 RIP.
The RIP is the key Buxton.
Good luck with the phoenix club fellow Shaggers, but I'm out, I'm done with football after forty odd years I'm afraid.

Yeah blame all the other clubs for your overspending

Speak up, you're so far up in the moral high ground I can barely hear you.
And that's been the case with much of what Bury supporters have had from people like you, let's hope your daddy doesn't run out of sugar anytime soon or you could be the next hard luck story.
For the record I am not blaming anybody else for anything at all and if Bury reform it should be from step whatever.
Don't judge all Bury supporters by the lowest common denominator, and that applies to any other side at any level.

I think everyone is on the side of bury fans as you’re the unfortunate lot which fell through the gap which eventually someone was going to fall through mainly down to the shoddy upkeeping of the league by the EFL.

It’s so sad and unfortunate, but the decision for bury to be expelled is the absolutely correct (if very sad one) that for some reason there was an assumption that they would be treated differently to other clubs who’ve suffered the same fate was misguided at best, laughable at worst.

Can I ask what's happened to this character Stewart Day, the mastermind behind the incompetence that has led to all this happening. Surely to god he should be banned from ever getting involved in a football club again

B.F.C your club needs you now than they ever had. Yes a few years in non league is the future but you may actually enjoy going back to the grass roots where you can stand amongst opposition fans and just enjoy the game again.
Stick with them, if Cov went into the regional leagues I know I couldn't hive up in them, infact it would make me more passionate

^^What he said^^. Our restart way down in level 8 (now level 9) reinvigorated my love affair with football. I'm pretty sure that supporters of other phoenix/protest clubs would say the same. That first promotion, then the second. Winning the county cups means something. That moment of getting promoted into the football league and realising that you're back to where you came from. All moments to savour.

All the best to Bury supporters. Please get behind the reformed club which I think should happen. Enjoy the ride and see you in a few years.

Exactly. I'm sure Ron voted for them to be reprieved and then have it set in stone that this happen to any club found in similar circumstances.
'what's that you say, I can spend what I like, not pay anyone back and then just start in League Two if it all goes tits up? sounds wonderful, why hasn't this been bought to the table before?'

I like most fans didn’t want your club to fold and I have the upmost sympathy for the supporters of your club. Given I support a club who very nearly went the same way back in the 90’s I do have some insight however I take offence to the reference it’s all the other league clubs fault for not voting to allow Bury back in, it isn’t their faults Bury found themselves in the position they are in. I really do hope a Phoenix club does arise and finds itself back in the league.
I understand you are hurting but you can take your moral high ground bollox back and as to a sugar daddy our club doesn’t have one it’s just run properly I’m really sorry you’ve had headcases running yours.

Was the legal action not in respect of the fact that they felt the EFL broke its rules by not having a vote of the member clubs which now has happened?
I don't think there was a vote per se yesterday either.

Mind, there probably wasn't even a need for one anyway. I doubt anyone will have fought their corner.

At our supporters club meeting last night the Chief Exec said they'd had a detailed discussion and the vast consensus was the 72 clubs 1 down from League Two and just needed to be formally voted on now.

Ah right, the non-vote thing I read about yesterday must've been centered around that one then.

 I can assure you we don’t have a sugar daddy anymore.

We also don’t hand ridiculous contracts out to people over 30.

It's nothing to do with the fact that we'd be starting way down or I've got my eye on a new team to support or anything like that Rev., it's purely down to a natural time to stop watching football.
I've always been more of a fan of Rugger over Football purely as a sport. I enjoyed playing in my younger days and I've been finding the time spent with no Bury FC has ended my interest in football completely, it's been a bit like giving up smoking and reaching that point you know that you have got rid of the habit.
Some of it has been the drip drip drip effect of the Premier League, Sky, stupid money, pundits talking bollocks while what's happened to my beloved side has been the final straw.
I've also become exasperated by trying to discuss the facts about what happened to us over the past six or seven years rather than the half truths that people are taking as the gospel truth. I've found that I'm talking increasingly to people with no ears and it's soul destroying.
Good luck to everyone that gets involved with the phoenix club and I wish the new entity all the luck in the world, the town of Bury needs a football club to get behind but I will be just viewing from the sidelines I'm sad to say.

This might seem a bit of a heartless question which I don't mean it to be but i'll ask it anyway.

Bury fans, what do you guys do now on a Saturday? It must be strange AF to not go to football.

I got bored during the summer break so I can't begin to imagine Saturdays without football, win lose or draw. I'm much less of a 'football is more important than life of death' kind of guy, but it would still screw up my mind not to have a Swindon game to follow, whether on twitter or live.

I hope you guys get something sorted soon.

Just a further (and possible final) update on our situation. We face a winding up petition by HMRC tomorrow (16/10) which will likely see the club finally wound up. The only possible exception would be a further delay as it is rumoured that Dale will play his illness card.

Is anything happening on a Phoenix club?

I damn well hope a Phoenix club is well under the way of being set up, it’s really obvious that there is no way the current club/business can be saved. That may have been your previous couple of chairmen’s desire, but any new money coming in would be better spent starting again (however painful that might be).

Steve Dale doesnt think there should be NI payments if there are no staff. All depends on when the payments are from. Not sure why this couldn't have been established before the day in court.
