I think the big jump in class happens about two thirds of the way up L1 rather than between L1 & L2... similarly the next big jump down is a few places off the top of the conference.

Teams like Oldham and Shrewsbury are the ones who are usually struggling in L1 every season. I can't believe Oldham have been in that division for 20 years or so, it's about time they came down!

There's definitely a bigger gap between League One and Two than I always thought there was. 95% of teams I've seen this season have been noticeably much more awful than the teams in League One last season, it's been really poor a lot of the time (and yes, I include us in that).

I mean strictly speaking it's not impossible, but it's like me entering the Tour de France on a bmx, I could win, but it ain't gonna happen.

Wheels have come off for Carlisle. Good.
I am not so sure yet that they are only three wheels on their wagon. They have demonstrated consistenly that they are a good side. Whilst probably at least one of the top three will probably drop out, I am not yet convinced it will be Carlisle.

I think the ones who are under pressure are Portsmouth who have not had the best of runs recently and Luton (the latter because of the very good runs of three teams around them and now the injuries). Obviously we are on the cusp it could go either way for us. Xmas was at best par - had we kept the 3-1 lead against Wycombe I would have been very happy.

In the first half today Carlisle were comfortably the best team I've seen us play this season. It was a really entertaining, end to end half but their attacking play was intelligent and always looked threatening. Can see why they've done so well this season.

Carlisle fans are odd.

You've many great posters.

You've one that's only happy when they're doing shit and is always very pessimistic.

Then you've one who gets a hardon doing well for once, makes a tit out of himself and gets caught up when they lose.

Given that most of you guys seem be pretty decent, it's a rather obvious one

The fact that Carver came out with that shit about a piss easy win and it's only Colchester etc, then predicted Colchester to win in Oaky's predicta speaks volumes to be honest!

We're always under pressure but our recent form is fairly decent.

I don't understand how we didn't win yesterday. I was so sure we'd get a victory and it would of been us winning 4-1 and not them.

It's unusual but I feel kind of embarassed now. :(

It's like I tempted fate or something.

Yep and Fleetwood.

Have to say it rubbed salt in the wounds when that shite stayed up over us.

You'd have all also benefited if we'd stayed up as Oldham and Shrewsbury would have probably 'done a Tranmere'.

10 out of 12 Bignot is charging too :p

Unfortunately too late, Barnet, Cambridge, Colchester and Wycombe have already charged, with only Luton standing still.

Running out of places to charge too.

I think of anyone from a number of about 10 clubs shows any form of consistency you'll be there.

We were midtable this time 4 seasons ago when we won the conference...

Whereas us winning or even getting promoted would be pushing the realms of reality, it can be done. Or even Bransley in league 1 last season - into the playoffs and now in the championship after a shocking start to the season

YOU DON'T REALISE HOW FAR YOU'VE FALLEN!!!:mad::mad:

Now I agree that those teams are poor, but ffs how cocky can you get? You were poor as well and deservedly came down, there is no way you can tell how good or badly any of them teams would of done instead.

It's that type of attitude which is the reason why you've came all the way down from the Championship to L2. You Donny lot always think everything's going to go your way don't you.

You're arrogant, it makes you sloppy!

I'm still not sure if we are going to be consistent enough to mount a play-off challenge, think we will know by the end of January.
