Jack Leach and Don Bess ripping through Hampshire before lunch. Are you watching Bayliss?

He really needs to. Leach with 6-78 on a first day pitch. Tremendous bowler and fairly ridiculous he's not in the England set up.
Did I hear correctly he had to tweak his bowling action over the winter?

Yes, Flower had some concerns over the degree of bend. Couldn't see it myself but Flower clearly knows more than me. If anything the action is smoother and he's getting more bounce with the same degree of turn. Must be terrifying for county jobbers tbh.

Yeah it's impressive he's been able to keep up the same level of performance, can only assume those doubts are the reason he's been overlooked up until now

If Roy doesn't get runs at Lords he needs dropping for Bairstow

Scary to think Stokes is only 25, and will improve so much more.

he might not tho

He will, the guys an absolute beast athletically and can do everything. With coaching, his bowling and batting will only improve. The only place he won't improve is his fielding because he's already 10/10 in that department.

We'll lose this, QdK is class, best young batsman in the game imo.

Roy out cheaply again - position must be under threat.

Make that 20-5.

Credit where it's due Rabada is bowling incredibly well. Just gets more impressive each time I've seen him.

Ah the easy win consolation dead rubber game. Always a good one for overreactions.

However, Roy's got to go - it's beyond a confidence thing, he's doing all sorts of weird things with his wrists again like when he first got called up - all bottom hand. Needs to go back to Surrey and spend some time in the middle there.

Fuck me 6 down. I'd suggest to Englands batsmen it may be a good idea to use the leave for a bit as unfashionable as it is these days.

Would rather get this performance out of the way now

it's ludicrous Bairstow isn't an automatic selection in ODIs - he's our second best batsman.

All out 153. Total collapse this morning. This should be SA's unless we can capitalise on the good bowling conditions

I'm off to the Oval on Thursday for the opening game so I'm hoping this is just England getting their England performance out the way and we flog the Bangladeshi's all round London!

4 wins out of 5. Trouble is, Worcs and Notts keep winning. The floodlit game at Trent Bridge will be crucial.

Can't afford to underestimate Bangladesh tomorrow, they're a good one day side nowadays. Think Monday's game was a blessing in disguise, keeps us from getting too carried away.

Having said that, whilst I'm usually optimistic heading into a tournament, this time I'm properly confident. We're genuine favourites. Last time around we made the final with a top 3 of Cook, Bell and Trott. No reason we can't go all the way this time.

And I just found out I've got a new job starting the day after the final so I can kick back and watch the whole thing :)

Gutted, as I don't get streaming quality reception on my phone at work, so it'll just be highlights for me. Even next Saturday against the Aussies I have other commitments.

Good start from a selfish POV as I have Tamim, Stokes and Plunkett in my fantasy team

Well, at least I'm not talking to myself heh, hi Luke!

Woakes going off is going to hurt us for the rest of the tournament, if it's a side strain as rumoured.
