The way they are scoring let Stokes have a chance to get to his 100 then put them back in. Gives us about 50 overs to skittle then a second time. Long shot but it’s possible.

Good performance but our batting still has problems.
I would go with Bairstow instead of Roy opening, Stokes at 3, Root back to 4, Roy at 5, Vince or an other at 6, Butler as keeper at 7.
Stokes is technically one of our best batsmen and bowls less these days.

They were going at edgbaston for about £60/70 which was £20/30 below face. Dont buy early leave it until 11am I'm certain you'll get one for a nifty.

Much prefer to beat them with him playing though. Hes basically the difference in the two teams and also the spinner, but if we can get on top now before the spinner comes into play we should have a good chance of a win. We need to win because you may as well forget the 4th test in Manchester as its almost certain to be ruined by rain no doubt.

I get why were bowling but I also hate it batting last as I never fancy us to chase anything above 170-180 on a fifth day wicket, hopefully we’ll be chasing a lot less.

All's well that ends well. Agreed with the decision to bowl but looked like we were completely wasting some great bowling conditions. Fantastic performance from Jofra Archer, already making himself into a legend and its only his second test.

The batsmen really need to dig in tomorrow and grind them down. Should be nice conditions for it also.
