The one concern I'd have with Rehan longer term is from what I have seen of him he seems a little too in love with bowling his variations like the googly (admittedly it's a very nice delivery). Think he probably needs to develop his leg-break as his stock delivery. Against the amount of left-handers Australia have though it might be a useful weapon to have.

As a rule of thumb I’m generally not a fan of going with an all seam attack. It becomes a little reliant on winning the toss and bowling first as you tend to find green tops flatten out after a day or two. That’s why for me I’d always want a frontline spinner.

The Ashes is not always the place for a rookie to be involved in bur then he does have decent back up. But Root is a decent off break so there is some diversion to the bowling if needed.
