Jordan Clark take a bow lad, gets a hatrick for Lancashire bowling root, williamson and bairstow, it really doesn't get any better. Obviously a terrible start for us

I'm pretty confident that you'll still win. We've been absolutely hopeless in the Championship this year.

Yorkshire destroy Lancashire once again in the county championship, Joe root with figures of 4-5. Looking slightly grim for Lancashire this season, that result pulls us clear for now at least.

Rashid called up for the 1st test at the expense of the 2 Somerset lads despite not wanting to play red ball cricket ..

Hasn't gone down well .

Sure they'll all go quiet if he performs. If it's owt like last time he faced india it won't last long. Personally think he's a prick, refuses to play as it suits but hopefully he performs

Root run out when looking like a surefire century for him. Disappointing end as was never two there and he had batted superbly prior to that.

Still a pretty decent position for England though.

That throw for the run out was spectacular.

As much as this is an entertaining test, England frustrate me so much. I don't think we'll win tomorrow but we've done well to be even within a shout of winning although poor fielding and brainless batting has taken away what really should be a comfortable win. Let's face it, if Malan (please drop him, excuse the pun) took them chances, we'd have had a big 2nd innings lead. I can't criticise any of the bowlers. Outside of Kohli, this is a typical Indian batting side in these conditions. We are all over them. I hate Kohli but he's put the hard yards in, upped his game yet again and has gone chanceless this 4th innings. We should really put India to bed over a 5 test series but I can't help but feel we are the architects of our downfall a lot of the time, yes this is a decent all round India attack, with good plans and a great captain but in tests we are brainless. I honestly have no idea what goes through their heads, they certainly aren't so sloppy in the ODIs, but there are 2/3 guys in there who are clearly out of their depth. I do worry about the rest of the series so hope they prove me wrong.

I don't get to watch that much of the cricket these days; largely because it's mostly on Sky. However, I have been able to watch pretty much every ball of the first two days and I was lucky enough to be there today. Of course, I want England to win (and I would make India slight favourites at the moment) and I would admit that both teams have numerous flaws right now. BUT, this has been an entirely engrossing test match. It has been absolutely fantastic cricket - I just wish that more people were able to watch this.

I adore Kohli - amazing player and I love his attitude. What a performance from Sam Curran as well. Long live test cricket.

Sounded class as always on the hollies stand.

Get in England, well played. I hope they don’t send Stokes down next week. Surely the ECB have the clout to bribe the judiciary?

But not sure we should be chucking him in at #4, would have him batting at 5 and Bairstow at 4
