You have every right to be negative but are more positive. Still doing the fancy dress thing despite the relegation.
No fancy dress this year, struggled to sell the allocation as well. We'd have sold it 2 or 3 times over if there was owt riding on it.

We're away, so that means we will probably lose. A win and a top half finish would be lovely given the rotten season it's been for the most part. Despite our upturn in home form since the new year, our away form is turgid. It would be nice to give the away supporters something to cheer though after such a long season, I just can't see it happening

Just to make the point again for people who might have missed it...Scunthorpe striker Ryan Loft was signed by Rovers with an promotion add-on included so Scunthorpe already down and in desperate need for money, benefited financially from Bristol Rovers going up. Add that Barton being banned for 18 months for betting (including matches that he was involved in) and it's not hard to feel that Northampton might wonder why Scunthorpe lost 7-0.

I feel that gets lost in people saying 'yeah but scunthorpe had played youth team players in previous games as well'
I'm sorry but promotion is won over 46 games not just the last game of the season. If you had been there and seen the game you would have realised 7nil was justified. It could have been so much more. You really need to let go.

Your reply is exactly why I reminded people of what happened, because you just ignored everything I said. So cheers for that

Doing 6 hours bank holiday overtime, which will pay about for next years season ticket.

And in 45 of them you weren`t good enough. The one at the end was incredibly suspicious.

The thing I remember from watching that 7-0 highlights is that Scunny’s keeper looked like they had just asked a random guy off the street to play in goal.

So we lost the other 45 then ? In fact I'm sure we beat you at your place -- So what was not good enough about that ?

What does "modern day league attendance" mean? Surely you've had bigger crowds in the Prem and higher up the divisions?
That 22,000 Liverpool game was the Prem, the ground expansion (as it is today) had not long been finished and we were relegated soon after. The record attendance was when everything was in black and white and everyone wore a flat cap.

Not sure how we haven’t passed 22,500 - there’s only 285 seats left in home areas.

Seems Orient haven’t sold out. Their CEO confirmed 1,900 sold yesterday morning. So there’s 800 seats available there.

When we’ve “sold out” before, attendance usually around 24,400 ish. Looking at availability and what the club claim to have sold, it doesn’t add up.

Not football related but on the subject of Bradford/attendances, this is a shot of Odsal stadium, where the Bradford Bulls play, 1954. 102,569 the crowd for the Challenge cup final replay.

VP will reach unseen levels of toxicity if we fuck this up in front of 23,000 people.

That's why our attendances are so good. We don't have to work over to pay for the tickets.

Do you think it’ll motivate the players having 23k or the opposite effect?

Well they’ve bottled pretty much every single game of real importance this year so I won’t be holding my breath.

In the last home game against Gillingham, the players were nervous wrecks in the first half, the crowd soon on their backs making it worse for them.

When we sign players, to a man they all say playing in front of big home crowds was one of the factors signing for us, trouble is, when they get here a lot of them cannot handle the pressure from a very impatient expectant home fanbase.

Hopefully they will all have swallowed a box of 'calms' before the Orient game!

Nor do i, but with what’s being offered for 6 hours it would be crazy not to!

Ok we are playing more on the deck right now instead of "Mellonball"
Derogatory comments like this about Mellon make me smile when you consider what he achieved here and elsewhere.

I personally have not enjoyed the football any more in Dawes caretaker spell. Yes, we play through midfield a bit more, which is almost inevitable if you play with an extra man in the middle, but defensively we look wide open at times and our problems in the final third have not been solved.

Our home record remains reasonable, so I think we might actually draw on Monday.
