What team are we expecting against The Netherlands? I'm thinking something like this...

tumblr_o4q54htkLJ1v0knj0o1_540.png

...though Milner could end up in the middle with Drinkwater sitting instead of Dier.

Yeah, I think he'll go Milner and Drinkwater and put Welbeck wide left since he took him off early last match.

Surely Vardy will start? I reckon Welbeck will be on the bench as well, he's only just returned from injury.

Forster

Walker
Stones
Jagielka
Bertrand

Drinkwater
Milner

Walcott
Barkley
Vardy

Sturridge

What would the point be of playing Vardy wide. If we're going to use him, use him properly. Otherwise we're not going to learn much from it?

I've got no problem with playing Vardy on the flank, in fact I think he'd do a good job. When you're a counter-attacking side it doesn't really matter if the forward players are central or out wide, they just have to get in behind. Plus, let's be honest, he isn't going to start in front of Kane in the CF position and we're a bit short of options for wide forwards.

Team for Euro's (If everyone fit) should be..

Hart

Jones
Cahill
Smalling
Shaw

Milner
Henderson
Lallana
Walcott

Rooney
Rashford

Only players for Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool should play for England because they're the biggest clubs.

Carver are you all there!!!

Biggest clubs! Only two of those clubs will be in the champions league next season (Arsenal & Man City), Chelsea & Liverpool might not get in to Europa league.Walcott has been terrible and isn't even playing for Arsenal. Shaw is not even fit, Jones can't get in united team. Rashford looks a promising player but one step at a time.

Players in good form playing in the top flight should be selected, 5 or 6 of the best English players around at the moment don't play for those clubs you listed. Kane, Alli, Dier, Vardy, Barkley also Drinkwater, Rose, Stones, Walker & Bertrand just to name a few, if Hart got ruled out who would play in goal!

If Woy plays that team fine. If he learns from how they play, fine. However we all know they could get tonked by Holland and the same people will still be in his squad. Milner shouldn't be in this team and I don't think Rooney should either.

Probably our best chance to get to a final for years and we have dinosaur Woy in charge, The SAFE manager.

Tonight's line up should be summat like this:

Forster

Walker
Stones
Cahill
Bertrand

Drinkwater
Milner

Vardy
Barkley
Alli

Kane

With this line-up, it's easy to convert into a diamond. The sooner Roy knows his CB partnership the better. Stones has to start, he seems to be our only ball-playing centre-half.

Who else is there?

I don't know, but I'm not convinced that the team in Germany were playing to his tactics, more to the club tactics they were used to playing which is why they were so bloody good. Spurs, Liverpool and Leicester all play a hard pressing high tempo game, when has an England side done that under Roy.

Never!

Maybe now he'll start to play this way and not be so cautious like every other England manager for the last 15 years.

Other than when he had to take over from Capello at the last minute, I don't think Hodgson's been a particularly cautious England manager.

Best guy for the job. It makes me sad that he didn't get the job when Sven got it. Whoever comes in after him will have a very good talent pool.

I agree Milner should be know where near the team in France, but Rooney is still a valuable asset to us and whilst he is under massive pressure to stay in starting 11 he is defiantly worth his place in the squad. Henderson should also make way for Dier, Alli and Barkley in midfield. He works really hard but is not good enough in the opponents half,

Ha ha! Yes blue blood.
Somebody said to me yesterday that Flint should be playing for England, considering the lack of strength and depth we have in that area how far away is he from that level?

At least we might get a few BBQ's in this summer before we get knocked out! Got my England vs Portugal tickets.
An player who learned his trade at Alfreton representing England?!

That would be the clubs proudest moment without a doubt.

This. Remember back in World Cup qualifying those two massive home games against Poland and Montenegro he essentially played 4-2-4.

But he's typecast. No matter how many young, in-form players he gives a chance, no matter how fluid he is with his formations, he'll always be safe, conservative, dinosaur Woy to some

Don't get your hopes up. As much as I love the bloke he's nowhere near that standard. Can see him making it as a mid-to-lower level Premier League player at some point but not at international level

I think initially everybody thought Roy would stick to the same old tried and tested setups that he's used throughout his career. He's proved that he can adapt even at this stage. I think the one criticism that he recieves that is fair though is that he sticks by players that he's worked with, which while it can make sense as he builds trust with players and knows what he can expect, England has to remain an open door to players who are proving themselves worthy of a chance and so his favourites should step aside when they're out of form or not playing and others are and are impressing. His persistence with Townsend even when he couldn't get a game was an example of that, even though Townsend actually generally did alright for Hodgson.
Now if he drops Rooney for more in form strikers who actually fit the side then he'll have got round that criticism as well.

Not going to. Agree with you totally. He can do a job in the Premier League but he is no Jamie Vardy in terms of England exploits .

Our current young centre back Brad McGowan has arrived the same age as Flinty and looks even more composed and good on the ball. Very excited about him. He is injured at the moment though

Danny Rose looks like the correct choice of left back for England.

It the team that beat Germany were in possession of the shirts I think Stones is pushing Cahill or Smalling for a place. Barkley in for Henderson, Rooney or Vardy in for Lallana. Obviously Hart to return in goal. Milner's first six touches were to give the ball away 3 times 2 poor corners the let Depay go in our box!

Sturridge shouldn't be in the squad. We have at least one forward who can offer what he can. Andy Carroll may not be the best we have, but his style brings something different to the table. You put a cross in, nine times out of ten, it's his.

Who's more likely to be injured during the Euro's, Sturridge or Carroll?

I'd rather take Big Troy Deeney!
