I don't remember leaders ever commenting or being prominent during conferences. Also, considering you've routinely described Corbyn as incompetent and a liability it seems a bit weird for you to now believe he has political superpowers and can stop the Tory policies emanating from conference with a word.
#disasterforcorbyn

You don't believe the leader of the opposition should respond to speeches made at a Conservative conference?

Well, they never have before so if you're bashing Corbyn for not being particularly innovative then fair enough.
He's needed back in parliament soon to oppose this vile set of policies and has a coupe of days leave with his wife. What a disaster!

Fair enough didn't realise that. Hopefully he comes out all gun blazing from tomorrow on.

^^ He released a statement condeming the Conservatives' 'divisive' tone. I see there's not a single mention of it, Corbyn or even 'Labour' on the Guardian's home page, though.

I'd also suggest it's rather difficult for the Labour leader to deliver a coherent opposition to government policy when the Labour press team at HQ are delivering announcements that counter their leader's own platform.

Diane Abbott is now Shadow Home Secretary.

Diane Abbott.

I wonder if she'll continue to hold the Government to account as effectively as this.

A fairly good match with the actual home secretary tbh.

Just keep you up to date. The Corbyn surge should be happening soon right?
You actually do treat politics like supporting a football team don't you? How about adding to the topic instead of looking like some kind of spamming bot.

You don't think being in power is important to implement policies that improve people's lives?

Your arguments are futile V. We will see what happens when the time comes to it. What I do know is the previous version of Labour lost over 4 million votes from it's initial success and failed to win the previous two elections and provided the foundation for Brexit. That can be proven. You're just making guesses from which are based on the old rule book, politics no longer plays by those rules. Stop trying to second guess the future and concentrate on what you think & believe in because being a spamming bot is doing you no favours. As I say, it isn't football. You're not protesting against a manager here.

I look forward to the polls turning in Corbyn's favour, and that's not sarcasm either, I will be more than happy to be proved wrong. Whether they will remains to be seen though.

When do you expect them to start heading in the right direction? It seems to me that you don't think the polling is accurate; what do you think the margin of error is in the polling?

In which case why embark on what is essentially a self-fulfilling prophecy on a daily basis. I assume you define yourself with Labour on the basis of policy, why then you would seek to accentuate the rhetoric put out by the mainstream media is something I can't tally with. Throughout the course I've not really heard an argument against the current leadership of the party that's based upon policy. That's where I'm hitting this massive contradiction. Labour haven't seen such a transformation in official policy for decades yet generally speaking you'll struggle to find someone putting up a rational argument against any of the amendments and in some cases wholesale changes in any of the policies that have been put forward as a result of this leadership.

Even 'polling' can't take issue with party policy to the point it finds it overwhelmingly on point. If answering you would be among the majority I expect. Higher public spending nor privatisation of railways was party policy prior to the current leadership and New Labour was complicit in privatising facets of the NHS. Polls will find support for the scrapping of tuition fees as well as a plethora of other scandals that are placed upon us as means of social engineering and monopolisation of wealth.

Somewhere in between policy can be manipulated by the very people who benefit from the status quo and by you providing a constant voice to the result of said manipulation you are complicit in your own misery.
57fe69fe1a000067145b8f9b.png

Maybe it is too soon for the manipulation to be eroded or for the mainstream medias grip of public opinion however the alternative is too frightening to comprehend. This is the first opportunity to redistribute wealth created in this country for the embetterment of the majority. Follow your beliefs instead of amplifying the voice of the 1% that you proclaim to be against.

I do consider myself to be a social democrat.

Are you saying that Labour supporters shouldn't talk about alarmingly low polling numbers for the party and the leader? I take your point, but these are still facts that are worthy of discussion. It's not just rhetoric when it's prolonged and the gap is such, that it goes beyond self fulfilment.

Like it or not, the country is currently to the right of the leadership of the Labour Party, and the party is out of touch with the mood of the electorate in England. A 7% swing is needed to secure a majority, assuming boundary changes don't happen; that fact should be in the mind of every person who hopes to see the Labour Party form the next government.

I appreciate that you think I have the ability to shift public opinion though :)

Out of interest, do you think that May could indulge the eurosceptic wing of her party, if Labour led or were close in the polls?

I do fear for our workers rights when an unchecked Tory Party can negotiate trade deals. May might talk about helping working people, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Another poll. Funny how these things differ.
