Don't worry about it we 100% will. If your team comes with any sort of fight and desire to win you will roll us over.

I’m convinced we are down now after those three home games in a week against teams we should really have picked some decent points up against if we truly have the quality to stay in the division. We’ve won our last two away at Walsall & Rotherham though. We are absolutely screwed when teams come to play defensively against us, which is what happened in the last three home matches. Away from home is probably better for us in the run in, but we’ve only got 4 away left and 8 at home still.

A little bit of relief for you, one of those games is against us and if you can score 1 goal, you will have 3 points.

Us fans are fickle aren’t we? All week the various Charlton fans forums have been saying all Argo have to do is turn up and there is a guaranteed three points. Now Robinson walks and those very same posters are predicting a sound home victory. This is not having a go at the Charlton fans, we would have been the same in the same circumstances.

I did not believe the doom merchants, nor those who are now widely optimistic. We are not firing as well as we did because of a key injury in defence and midfield. Changing manager does not hide the fact that Charlton have not been playing well, and have key injuries and international absences. What will happen is that the home crowd will, initially at least, be more up for it and the formation may change. I’d rather Robinson had stayed for five more days, but whatever.

We have sold just shy of 3,000, so rock on tommy.

My opinion hasn’t changed, I still think we’ll be soundly beaten.

Love Bowyer and Jackson but they were part of Robinson’s failed management. Bowyer has said he’ll do things his way however so perhaps we will something different and they should be able to put a rocket up the players’ arse at least.

The fact is we still have a ludicrous amount of injuries and a group of players who have only won 3 times since November. The fan aspect won’t make that much of a difference either as there will still only be able 7,000 home fans there.

Hope I’m wrong and this is the beginning of some crazy run.

I am not convinced it will be easy, but nor do I think Charlton will fundamentally change overnight. What you say, especially in your second paragraph, makes sense to me. The change is not that fundamental, the culture of the team will be the same. My suspicion is that the longer it stays nil-nil the more your players, and especially the fans, will have belief, but if we score a quick one the heads may drop and the fans will head for the bar.

Adams appears to be handing it the right way, focusing on us and ignoring you and what formatation you might have. Suspect it makes his prep a fraction less certain, but we have been in good form and we need to remind ourselves why.

Matthew Gilks single handedly earned a point for Scunny there. Sadly I think we are down now. Should have won that easily.

We are truly truly horrific.

Alexander needs to go before it’s too late.

Lee, Lee, Lee Bowyer!!

Decided late on to go down The Valley today, with Bowyer and Jackson in the dugout and rumours that the takeover could be complete early next week, I was just too excited. Roland can have the £17 quid.

So glad I went, a proper feel good afternoon down there, the like of which we haven’t experienced for nearly 4 years. Two Charlton men in the dugout, Curbishley in the stands (no idea why or whether it does/doesn’t have anything to do with takeover but it’s got me all giddy), takeover close to being completed and of course most of all, an exceptional team performance.

The lads were absolute class today, no idea where that came from. The first 20 mins or so was men against boys and to be honest we pretty much dominated most of the game and were fairly comfortable throughout. Even Nicky Ajose was running his socks off!

Amazing what a change of formation and playing 2 up front does, eh Karl?

Really feels like we’re emerging from that dark tunnel into the light today.

Going to enjoy tonight with quite a few jars.

Up the Addicks!

Horrific game but can’t complain with a win, finally.

Thanks to Gills who decided to head to a team winless in 3 months and play horrific hoof ball and put Eaves up front for the last 20 mins who put in one of the worst attacking cameos I’ve ever seen.

Your move Rovers...
Promotion is still in our hands, I think the title is gone now personally, you'll win your other game in hand and we aren't getting 5 more points than you from the other games. If only we didn't fuck up at Ewood 3 weeks ago...

I doubt he will even play, Grayson doesn’t fancy him. Can’t say I’ve been overly impressed with him but he’s probably our only fit striker unless Alex Jones makes a rare appearance.

I think you ought to apologise

Did think about that post when he was in the starting line up. He was absolutely appalling apart from the goal as well...

Gillingham somehow worse than us in front of goal.

Win's a win, 3 points and a clean sheet at last. Can't complain too much about the performance, was always going to be that type of game.

It’s been coming.

He’s completely lost the dressing room and 1 win in 14 simply isn’t good enough. He will always be a club legend but it was just time to part ways

From the description of the pitch and the amount of sand, hoof ball sounds like it might have been the best (if not only) tactic, although 52% Gills possession of the ball (BBC stats) suggest both sides were as bad.
Game needed a touch of quality which we do not have at present. 14 shots on goal but only two on target says it all.
Ugly match with predictable scorer. Let's move on.

The pressure is on for Pompey to stay within touchcing distance of the playoffs today. Haven't won at home in 2018 and rarely win on Sky.. so it isnt looking good for today!

You had more shots but mostly pot shots from outside the box in the first half, don’t think Doyle was troubled that much. Wagstaff in particular could do with less fecking about with his beard and more shot practice.

Thought we were comfortable without playing well until the last 15-20 mins when we starting creeping back to our own box. Then Eaves missed an awful air shot in the 90th which was by far your best chance and should have got you a point, but I’m not going to grumble at us getting some luck.

Actually thought we tried to bring it out more on the floor than you but you’re right the pitch is a disgrace.

ahahahaha can't actually believe we won a game, with a Poleon thunderbastard as well ahahahaha.

Terrible game first half, although the second half wasn't exactly Barca v Man City I actually really enjoyed it. Some goal mouth action for a change, for what it's worth I didn't actually think Gillingham were too bad, just terribly wasteful in front of goal, I've seen us lose to far worse this season.

Not a lot of quality from us, but I can't fault the effort the players have put in since Grayson arrived(except second half against Doncaster) yesterday it was bodies on the line stuff to finally get a win which the players lucked as desperate as us for. The pitch is appalling though and I can't blame any player who struggles on it, all our home games will be like that this season.

Shame it's Blackburn next, a shitter team and we might have been able to string a couple of wins together to get a bit of confidence back.

What do I win?
Special request from him; he wants to play you every week. It must have been a miscue though as he seemed to hit it perfectly. At least we look safe from relegation now.

Think a draw was the right result tbh, as annoying as that is considering Blackpool was one of the 'easier' games left.
Special mention to Robbie Muirhead, who travelled from Andorra overnight to be back in MK yesterday morning, to make the bench after not playing for Scotland U21's on Friday.
