Well it was a nice few weeks while it lasted but we have decided that we are going to concentrate on promotion next season. Would like to take this opportunity to say I will be supporting Swindon in the playoff push for the rest of the season.

When we're good, we can look exceptional. When we're not at it, though, we are woeful and I guess it is that inconsistency that has seen us drift away from the likes of Mansfield and MK. We always seem capable of throwing in a game like today.

Next up are home games against Newport and Forest Green before a trip to Exeter. Our chances will probably seem a bit clearer after those.

Well we are due a defeat, we looked tired today and with another game on Tuesday I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped points.

Well we deserved that. Tranmere better than us even though we could have nicked it in the end.
The best news for us is Law and Boateng back, the last twenty minutes with them was much better.
Tranmere fans made the most noise since the ground was redeveloped, fair play to them.

When you’ve conceded 8 in 17 games at home to see the hapless Cheltenham score 2 in 10 minutes was bordering on astonishing. We managed to make a “limited” (being polite) side look brilliant for that little while before normality was resumed

That said the free kick given for their goal (expertly taken however) was one of the more ridiculous decisions this season.

With Lincoln at home to Yeovil and MK at Macclesfield - both certain wins, we’ve a tricky tie at port vale and you’ve Stevenage away.

Folk were saying had Lincoln not been on tv in a fortnight the game might well have sold out

More of the same this week for the top 4, 7 point gap. Real race to the finish, wonder which team blinks first. All 4 have winnable fixtures, they don't play each other much, bar that Mansfield v Lincoln game in a couple of weeks.

Exeter lead the way in the chasing pack, although it's incredibly tight. They too have a favourable few weeks coming up, although it's mostly on the road. Lots of travelling to do. Tranmere are hitting form just at the right time with 4 wins in their last 5, suddenly they are right back in the mix. Couple of nice home games up next for them, got to be looking at 4 points minimum from those 2.

Colchester do what they always do, drop off after a surge of form. Still, back to back home games, chance for them to get back to form. Forest Green slip out of the play-offs as they drop points at home yet again. They are going to need that away form to stay strong if they have any hopes of the top 7 it seems.

Carlisle continue to slip away, looks like their promotion push was built on a house of sand after all. Swindon come surging into the picture out of nowhere, hitting form just at the right time. Hard to know what they will do next, especially in these next 2 away games. The home games seem winnable though, so who can tell if they are genuine promotion contenders or not.
