Top 4 really pulling away after today.

That game against you is going to be reallt
Important for both sides, especially with it being on a Monday when everyone else has played and you know what the deal is.

Well we're back in the picture for sure now. Two tough away games in Carlisle then Stevenage on the Tuesday, before two kinder looking home fixtures against Port Vale and Morecambe.

Won 4 of the last 6 with one defeat so bang in form. Wonder if we have the minerals to keep it going.

Wellens has done brilliantly for us to even be considering the play offs at this stage.

As said, top 4 pulling away now.

We need to start turning some of these home draws into wins, starting on Friday against Yeovil before Oldham on Tuesday.

An ideal chance to get more points on the board in March but I said that prior to the February fixtures. That said, keep hitting the two point average (as we did in February even though it felt a poor month) and we should be ok.

If MK get beaten, shall we agree a friendly draw?

At least we won't have to lose twice to Lincoln next season.

Well it would be a deviation away from the standard home win, we could be 4th then and need the win ha

Based off of 5 game table the league will finish;

Bury
Lincoln
Tranmere
Mansfield
Swindon
Franchise
Colchester

I think we can all just shake hands on that table now.

According to the quest highlights we were beaten yesterday and in a relegation battle so 3rd is all yours

It’d take a very weird finish to the season. We still have a lot of work to do for the playoffs. Next two games represent about our easiest remaining ones, so 6 points would be very welcome. After that it’s mostly games vs top 9 who we’ve performed well against.

Should be our largest regular league gate for a good few years this Friday vs Crewe.

Edit.. just looked at the final 11 games of last season, Mansfield had one almighty collapse there from a very similar amount of points they’re on now.

Yeah, but we had flip- flop as manager last year, but this year we have Sir David.

We have had 2 mini collapses so far this season. Another one and we can wave good bye to the autos.

Our play off history is so utterly bad it's untrue so not much hope for that way!

Well it's better than ours!

We must go up through the autos, can take another playoff campaign again!

Wait until you've lost in two play offs in a row before really dreading them

We lost in 4 in a row a dozen or so years back. We have since lost in another one last year. I think we win this game.

Record at the old Wembley: undefeated.

Record at the new Wembley:
played 3 lost 3 scored 0 conceeded 7.

Still love going there though. Many don't but I do find it special.

It's lost a bit since the Spurs farce.

Going 2 years ago v FGR, they set up a big fan park for us with street food, games for the kids, outdoor bars, public speakers etc and all 40 of the FGR fans left their zone to go into the Tranmere one.

Last May there was none of that, there was Spurs branding everywhere and nothing going on. Had to go into local Costa's and two bars. Green Man pub was ace both years though.

Yeah can imagine Spurs presence everywhere being detrimental to the experience.

Though I doubt anything could ruin the day quite as much as stumbling into a Millwall occupied pub like we did in 2010. A most calamitous error of judgement.

I’ve seen Mansfield in 3 playoffs - lost 2 in the semi and the other final on penalties.

So in short we’re just establishing whoever finishes 4th isn’t going up ha

An unwanted record as well, I believe.

5 consecutive PO's without being promoted.
Think it is Luke yes and I find it bizarre that some our fans want us to get promoted via the playoffs cos it's a great day out and a money spinner wtf!
We've been in the top 3 practically all season and finger crossed that's where we'll finish.

I bet we can top anyone’s play off loss based purely in terms of the opponents tinpottedness.

Fucking Gateshead. :gmc:

We lost to York who are now in the conference north if that counts.

I didn't enjoy the Millwall experience one bit. Coming out of Wembley Park stadium with my 65 year old dad, uncle and other elderly family members to be sneered at by Cider drinking Millwall fans, those of the persuasion that have more teeth than an IQ, clearly looking to make our journey as uncomfortable as possible.

Its Millwall, and I get that is what they do, but myself and my family can't fight sleep so pretty unnecessary to give us grief.

That Charlie Austin bobble as well!!

5 mate in a row, 03, 04, 05, 06 and 07 including two finals.
Our finals were consecutive and we didn't turn up for either. I think I would rather have lost in the semis!
