Any team making the playoffs will want to play Exeter.

At Wembley, perhaps. Not in the Semi Finals as we've won our last 4 Play Off Semi Final's.

Torquay, Oxford, Carlisle and a bang average Lincoln.

P.S - I still think it's uber cute that you think you have even the tiniest chance of the Play Off's. Enjoy Solihull next season, chap.

Based on current form Exeter won’t make the playoffs. The nervous energy is palpable.

Previous matches have no influence whatsoever on future games and points. Based on the current table, we will make the play offs, as we're in them.

The key thing for us to claw our way back into the top 3 is to win our next 3 against Macclesfield, Morecambe and Stevenage. Win themand get a result away at Forest Green and then I’ll be fairly confident with our form going into April which is even more of a make and break month than usual as we are playing 3 of the top 7, with Mansfield on the last day added on to that.

Weird logic. The current table doesn’t get you in the POs. The final table may - or may not.

How about a friendly £50 charity bet that we get in the POs?

Sure. Adam Stansfield foundation when you lose please.

What's your charity of choice in the extremely unlikely situation should you somehow pull off this miracle?

Our lack of a goal scorer will cost us IMO. Had we kept Stockley till the summer I could have seen us sneaking third but without him we just don’t have enough of a goal threat. Forte works hard but has only 1 goal in about 3 months, Bowman looks ok but has an average record and Donovan Wilson is inexperienced.

We may make the play offs but I’d be content to miss out and have a proper go next season. Don’t think I could take another Wembley defeat and you just know it’s written that we’d lose to MK....

I think MK will nick third and the Field of Men will end up in the play-offs.

hats off to Indian Dan and Devon Lad for their generous financial backing to charidee.

Regardless of the 'banter' on here, I think all can agree its got a guaranteed positive outcome, regardless of what actually happens on the pitch come the end of the season.

We’ve gone past digging holes, it’s more using an excavator-digger on a conveyor belt.

Easy route to the final that would be.

Would love to beat MK at Wembley but Tranmere would be the more appealing tie from a traditional point of view. Plus flood light tales of times gone by would add some extra spice.

Good god no, you keep away from us if we get playoffs you evil bastards. I want us to at least stand some sort of chance of winning them, we must be on about 12 consecutive defeats to your lot.

Not sure I could take the emotional roller-coaster of another playoff final after last year's anxiety-fest! But I would probably still go if by some miracle we made it...

It would be nowhere near as nerve wracking this time around. I could actually enjoy the day.

It’s hard to tell, bury have done extraordinarly well of late, for them to be in the top 3 is a cracking effort.

The more I think about it the more relaxed I am. If we make playoffs come May then great it’s a bonus, we didn’t expect this in our first year back. I felt in the national league we simply HAD to win promotion to regain league status and secure the future of our club.

This season would be great to be involved and fantastic if we do go up but by no means a failure if we dont (which it was in the league below)

This is why I hate these predictions they are pointless. According to Sky our final eleven games;

Home games:
WWWWWW 18/18 points

Away games:
LLLLL 0/15 points

Don’t get me wrong I’d take 7th now but our form won’t equate to that.

Of late? Take away the first five games when they had a sluggish start and they've been the best team this season. Over those 30 games, they're averaging more than two points per game and would be five clear of second and 11 clear of fourth. They look more nailed on for the top three than anyone else I'd say.

Cracking logic that Devon_Lad.

Yet you also say that you think Notts will stay up, yet they are 24th.

But by your own logic, Notts will go down, as they are already in a relegation spot.

Please explain amigo. :dk:

To add to this, we lost 3 out of our first 5 games (MK Dons, Lincoln and Crawley)... take those away and we’ve only lost 4 games in 30 since, winning 18 and drawing 8 (62 in 30 games)

Next 2 games are huge for us, both away and we looked leggy last match.

Yeah but lots of teams can say oh yeah, take our bad run out and we’d be right up there.
We picked up 5 points from our first 10 games, but since then the table would be this:
E27EF815-C462-4816-BC76-C1AB8001AD11.png

But sadly for us it doesn’t work like that.

Of course, but AdamStag said ‘of late’ the picture you’ve posted just backs up the point I’m making.

I was using ridiculous logic on purpose, just like the person I was talking to who for some reason thinks the last 5 games have any impact on the next 10.
