You mean in the arse of nowhere, with a railway station at least 5 miles away?
Don't want you Quorn eaters promoted, that's for sure.

Quite enjoyed my trip to FGR to be honest, wouldn't mind them up. That hill can do one though.

Re-read the Mansfield v Tranmere thread, which is ten minutes of my life I won’t get back. RLC is spot on, no claims were made by Rovers fans about deserving a point.

What pissed me off and I suspect other Rovers fans too, were the assertions that Rovers were the dirtiest side you’d seen. None of the seven(?) Stags players currently out injured are missing as a result of anything done in that game and nobody went off injured during the match. It might be true if your other opponents had treated you with kid gloves, but I found it surprising then and still do.

However of the L2 sides I’ve seen this season Mansfield are the best to date, with only Swindon getting close. Not seen Lincoln and Franchise, Forest Green and Bury still to come.
Managed to get a ticket for Easter Monday fella? Very well done, like flipping gold dust!
All home tickets sold out yesterday for that game and our other remaining home games unless Colchester return some.

I would like FGR to get promoted to be honest, be funny.

Never wanted them in the FL but seeing as they are already in you might as well get the bantz of Sunderland etc going to watch a game in a field.

Vince has said he can't see any reason why we can't get to the Championship and then maybe even push on to the Premier League. Given that we're never getting planning permission for Jct 13 or to extend TNL that would mean all the Prem giants coming up the hill, and once we qualify for the Champions League the likes of Barca and Real fans will be having to watch them play in a field too lol.

It will be like FIFA career mode where no matter how high you get you can't do fuck all to your stadium.

They’ve already got that with Accrington

Honestly don't think a Mt.Rushmore type monument in Lincoln will work so I was thinking about more viable alternatives.

Something like this could work; does bear a uncanny resemblance to Danny Cowley streaming down the touchline to have a quiet word with the 4th official me thinks :pond:

Nah I think this one is more apt for Mr Cowley esq:

3. Learn more about that Imps fan idea for a Mt.Rushmore-like monument (but on a much more smaller scale obviously) to be erected in the city. A genius idea if you ask me, esp. when the Cowley's decide it's time for them to move on and join some other club like, say, Hull City.
HOT OFF THE PRESS:
Can a 3D scanner be used to get a correct image of Danny and Nicky and then use one of those 3D printer things to turn the scanned images into a printed 3D copy of each of them?
And then if bronze doesn't come out of the 3D printer, instead use the printed solid images to make moulds for bronze to be poured into.
That way a Ronaldo freak statue is avoided and exact bronze statues of Danny and Nicky result.

Should be home wins for Lincoln, bury FG and Exeter

The big game is between tranmere and MK - a win for tranmere and they’ll have hopes of reeling MK or a top 3 spot in, a draw is status quo and a loss would potentially end it.

Mansfield with a tricky game at East Midlands rivals Northampton will be another one where the home team will fancy getting something

As for bury, I don’t think anyone knows what’s going to happen!

Meeting at Carrington this morning.
Who knows, it may be the staff at the club who scupper the match even if the players want to play.
How do you put a match on with no stewards (especially with the mood of some of our fans), no ticket seller, nobody on the turnstiles?
Its a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

Sounds messy. Can't fault the non playing staff at all though to be fair.

Anyway presuming all games go ahead I'm hoping we win and Bury lose obviously, if we win then I don't mind MK beating Tranmere to keep them away from us, if we don't win then a draw please.

Big weekend but I reckon if we can get 3 points tomorrow then I'm struggling to see us fucking it up.

After last seasons attempt I’m more cautious, though 4 points from the next 2 would be a big step in the right direction

I’m not confident, you know because I’m a Mansfield fan but the fact we are playing away gives me more confidence than if it was at the Mill.

probably be a draw no suprise there eh !
Quite a surprise, considering we’ve drew three times this year, same as Tranmere who we actually beat, comfortably 3-0.

Three draws, 3-nil!!!!!

Only one side have drawn more than us (ironically Northampton!)

Yet the draws are so prohibitive to our season that 22 other clubs are below us.

Odd, isn’t it.

To be fair the draws at the start of the season are in my opinion the reason we are not in a title race but that was last year - we prefer to win and lose more now.

I think we only lost like three at the start of 2019.

Only 1 at the turn of the year and we were the last unbeaten away side in the top 7 divisions - probably why were only 1 of 2 teams (other being unsurprisingly Lincoln) in the league to still be in single figures for losses.

We’re ace!

Our initial allocation of 640 has now been sold on restricted sale and we have requested the additional 400. So it looks like it will be a complete sellout. Your first of the season ?

I just hope we get a result tomorrow, so an automatic place is still up for grabs when we visit.

There was one against us - but we had the 1650 or whatever it was behind the goal, not sure if Grimsby managed it also, would imagine they did

The Grimsby and Mansfield games were sold out, tomorrow is too. A few games have been very close, segregation is the problem. Costs us several hundred most games.

Always wondered that at yours, why not just have some barrier or something up between the 2 stands? Last season that’s pretty much all that separated Mansfield and chesterfield and that was pretty rowdy as you can imagine.
