Some Wigans fan leaving early apparently.

Six points above 7th with two left to play, though one of those is Gillingham.

We've fucking made it, surely.

I reckon so.

Must win against Colchester at home next for us before Wigan away on final day, quietly confident.

But realistically, you haven't a chance at all.

Crazy what's happened to Gillingham. When they beat us in Jan they were second, 16 points above us. They were 23 points above Barnsley.

We absolutely battered Shrewsbury today yet got beaten. Massive deflection for the winner. When your luck is out.....

Season well and truly over.

As per, our pathetic bottle jobs did precisely what was expected of them today. As I said and said all the long, we needed to win Tuesday and hope that Colchester pulled a miracle off today. They didn't, we lose, they won. That's the top 2 over for us.

Well, 2 weeks and 2 games to go and we still OFFICIALLY don't have our first promotion from League One. However, Wigan are all but there. They only need a point from their last 2 games to confirm it, or if Walsall drop points or fail to win 20-0 in any of their last 3 games. So, Wigan are basically promoted, well done to them. Burton move another step closer to pulling off one the stories of the football league by beating Colchester. If Walsall draw on Tuesday, Burton would need just 2 points to confirm promotion. A Walsall loss and a point would do it. They are so close now.

Millwall are the new leaders of the play off pack after a 3-1 win against Bury. They now have 2 winnable games to confirm their spot in 3rd. Walsall drop back after losing 4-0 to Bradford, not like them to concede so many in a game. 2 games against 2 relegation threatened teams at home to build up form ahead of the play offs, need to shake off this dip in form and fast. Bradford close the gap on them with the win today. Where did all those goals come from? 2 winnable games for them now, also need to build up some play off form. Barnsley leapfrog Gillingham into the final play off spot with a 0-0 draw against Sheff Utd. A win next week against already relegated Colchester is vital now.

Gillingham continue to slide and have 2 play off teams to come now. Is that it for them? They like Coventry have been slowly sliding down the table. Have they got enough to get back into a play off spot or is their season going to end in drab disappointment? A defeat to Burton coupled with a Barnsley win ends their season next season. Scunthorpe are also making a late push for the play offs and are only 2 points back. They have 2 tricky games, but could do it should the 2 teams above them slip up. Sheff U won't go away, need a win next weekend at Coventry to keep their season alive though. Rochdale and Port Vale are still in with a shout, but its a very slim/unlikely shout.

So, title still up for grabs. Top 2 might be more set. Teams in the 3-5 slots could all change in the final 2 games. Who gets that final top 6 spot? Will we see a late unlikely entrant out of nowhere? Loads to play for.

We lost our first four home games of the season. If only we'd actually started the season with everyone else.

What a difference a game makes. A seven goal swing and a saddlers defeat and our win means one more win ( or less ) should see us up.
Although I expect Walsall to bounce back and beat shrews on tue.
Thank god it's only 46 games as millwall ( as I predicted all season ) came strong and 2-3 more games would or may have overtook us.
Sat should be a good occasion for us if we win

Obvs I want Burton to cock it right up, allowing us to pull off the most remarkable of smash 'n' grab promotions, but I will genuinely be made up for Burton if/when they do it, especially when it had looked in recent weeks like they would let it slip.
