Are Blackpool fans even bothered about stopping up?

Never heard of it happening before but Fleetwood tickets were on open sale and they are now only onsale to season ticket holders until the 7th. Selling like hot cakes and we will easily sell our allocation regardless of the prices being extortionate.

If we are having this issue I can't even begin to comprehend what issues you will have when you play blackpool

Blackpool are struggling to shift 1,200 so I imagine it will be ok.

Pretty certain we will have some in the home ends come next weekend. Last time that happened - Rochdale - it got silly.

Filling our allocation and going in the home ends/ getting locked out Seems to happen a lot with latics. Can think of rochdale and Bury in recent years and I know it's happened at stockport a few years back too.

It's so obvious it's gunna happen but ya can guarantee the authorities or Fleetwood will do owt about it, and it'll be latics who once again make the headlines for the wrong reasons

That being said, it's our own fault for going in ends not designated for us in the first place.

If i couldnt get a ticket for the game id have no hesitation going in the home end but id sit on my hands and keep stum.

But Every club has idiots and we are no different. With a few beers inside them it's bound to kick off. And it's usually the idiots who ain't purchased a ticket in advance

Do me a favour...you'd love to see enough Latics in a home section to clear it of the natives.
You'd be roaring 'em on 70's stylee.

Obviously latics fans taking over an away ground is a great sight for any tic. I'm not saying I don't want to see it as it can only benefit us.

What I am saying is I'm sure it ain't something the club or authorities would welcome

...and it's official, we're gone. Effectively 11 points behind tonight with our goal difference, with six games to go. Relegated.

Can you make sure you beat Blackpool on Saturday please before you start planning for League 2

So, we are now set up for relegation. The various scenarios are:

If Fleetwood and Blackpool draw or win coupled with a Crewe loss, the Alex are down.

If Crewe draw, coupled with draws/wins for Chesterfield and Shrewsbury and wins for Fleetwood and Blackpool(all 4 would have to come in) and they could go down.

If Crewe win however, there is no way the Alex could go down this weekend.

So, lose and we'll almost certainly go down. Draw and it'll take a lot for us to go down. Win and we stave off relegation for another week. Over to you Alex players.

Back to 6 teams again tonight. Those results drag Chesterfield and Shrewsbury back into the myre.

Doncaster can now join crewe and colchester. 7 points is too much with their form

We've never been out of it.

As I pointed out a while back we have the toughest run in and I fear it will now go down to the last couple of games for us. Whilst we have been on a very good run our inability to win against the likes of Scunthorpe, Bury and Port Vale in recent weeks could yet prove very costly.

The results we have picked up under Shez - it's amazing that we still can't get out of that bottom 4.

Oldham must have been a few points adrift!

Points accumulated last 10 games
Oldham = 18 points
Shrewsbury = 17 points
Chesterfield = 16 points

Colchester = 13 points
Fleetwood = 12 points
Blackpool = 11 points
Crewe Alex = 3 points
Doncaster = 2 points

Worst we have been is 8 if memory serves. When we played burton we were 1 point better off than them from the last 10 games.

18 from 10 equates to 82 over a season.

A gem on Twitter tonight...

21:25 @Donny_Rovers - Don't want to tempt fate, but wouldn't it be the saddest icing on the saddest cake if Curtis Main secures the win for Oldham tonight.

21:26 @officialoafc - Goooooaaalllll!!!! 2-0 - Curtis Main!!!

That's our form at the moment under Shez. This includes games against Wigan, Burton & Gillingham.

Just goes to show that it was managerial ineptitude, rather than playing personnel that got us into this mess in the first place.

It doesn't necessarily show that at all. Relegation-threatened sides often find their form at this stage of the season. That combined with feel-good factor of a returning legend, and the honeymoon period that a new manager brings, is a potent medicine.

Last night's results weren't unexpected but don't do us any favours certainly. Doncaster at home next week is going to be huge assuming we don't win at the weekend.

Whilst I get your point to some degree, Shez is our third "new manager" of the season, and we didn't have anything remotely close to a honeymoon period with the other two.

The players we have do have the ability, and whilst I'm not exempting them from blame for the position we find ourselves in at present, with a manager who knows what he's doing at the helm the players now seem to have a system they can play in. I have no doubts whatsoever that had we employed Shez back in June instead of that balloon knot Darren Kelly (and then the wally that is David Dunn), we'd be top half for sure.

I'll never forgive our board for employing those two clowns should we still get relegated.

Sheridan has won 6 of his 15 League games, with Oldham only winning 6 of the previous 41 games before his arrival. That is some stat and I fear he'll do enough to keep you boys up, just hope we can nick 3 points of you and then both relegate Blackpool

I'd take that (relegating Blackpool) - though our game next Saturday is going to be huge.

Personally, I think Doncaster, Crewe & Colchester are already down.

It's one from Oldham, Fleetwood, Blackpool, Shrewsbury & Chesterfield. There's no way all those 5 teams will finish above Bury or Swindon, so they're both safe for me.

It's definitely going down to the last game of the season. Question is how many of those 5 teams will still be involved. I'm hoping we can be safe by the time we play Millwall away cos I don't want to be in the situation where we need to get a result there, and I don't want to be involved on the last day.

Will be much clearer after barnsley next Tues as we will be level pegging game wise with most teams bar blackpool. It's a bit of a false league at the mo with us having played so few games

Really don't know who I want to go down (provided we don't go up)

Crewe are all but gone and Colchester look doomed despite their recent revival. While I don't like to see local sides suffer, we've played Donny loads recently and their undeserved last minute winner at the Keepmoat started our 8 game losing run so wouldn't be too upset if they dropped.

As for the rest, I love the trip over Saddleworth to Oldham and I love Shrewsbury as a town so hope they stop up. I've been to Fleetwood 3 times in the last couple of seasons and enjoyed each trip, although our games have generally been crap. We lost hopelessly at Chesterfield this season and last but I love the short train journey and numerous good pubs waiting at the end. Never been to Blackpool for a game so will lose that chance if they go down.

At a push I think I'd be fine with Blackpool going, and I think it will be either them or Fleetwood joining Donny, Colchester and Crewe.

Really thought we'd be involved in this up until January.
