Starting to look like we could be a player in this relegation melee.

Fleetwood down instead of Oldham and that looks like the bottom 4 for me. I think Blackpool will scrape enough points in their games to stay up. Doncaster are in one of those unstoppable slumps that nearly always lead to a capitulation relegation.

It's like winding the clock back 10 years. We had a bitter rivalry with blackpool back in the day. Play off battles,us taking wellens. We always seemed to be neck and neck.

Then the bastards got promoted

Well yes, there's a distinct possibility we could be back in the fourth for the start of next season.
Plenty of points up for grabs yet, ofcourse.
My point being you have been a relegation scrap since God was a boy.

You think,huh?
Well,it's all about perspective,I suppose.
It's not many matches ago that I kinda gave up on a late play-off charge and looking at the current table it would be foolish not to recognise that there exists a real chance that, despite all the points still up for grabs,we could,if we're honest here,be relegated.
If we do drop though we'll probably be holding hands with your lot.

You've got a point there Kev...you're pretty crap at the mo.
If it's any consolation though you have won the FA Cup.Twice.
Long,long time ago though.

I Kevin Blackwell never won the cup, I did take Leeds and Sheffield United to wembley and save Luton Town FC and Bury FC from going bust. Sadly the Bury chairman and Glenn Thomas (he has an excellent history in business don't you know) are probably undoing all of my hard work. Don't dare ask questions about debts, winding up orders, court appearances, broken promises, lack of AGM's, lack of fans forums etc as this will mean you are a keyboard coward and a member of the negative element. If you dare criticise the fact that we spent a bomb on transfers and have ended up with a small, unbalanced and injury ravaged squad that is 16th in the table and not entirely safe from relegation back to league 2 then you are a disbeliever.

If Bury are relegated at least they are guaranteed one 2000+ away following with Crewe being relegated as well. But in all seriousness I think we will probably chuck together 3 or 4 more points that should see us safe. Will still go down as a terrible season though.

I was under the impression your chairman was the best thing since sliced bread.

I don't think it was that bad a day. Always felt Chesterfield would be OK, and I reckon the bottom 3 are already done for, so it's one from Latics, Fleetwood & Blackpool, with Shrewsbury as outsiders as their run in is nasty.

Depending on midweek we could have the honour of finishing off the Alex which I'm sure they will be praying not to happen.

That said we haven't been turning up for four games so might survive another week.

Well, the end is fast approaching for Crewe. Oldham and Fleetwood win on Tuesday then better our result with the Vale in their fixtures on Saturday and we are down. Marvellous. Colchester have shown some real fighting spirit in recent weeks, probably left themselves with too much to do, but a win next weekend at Blackpool would really put the cat amongst the pigeons. Donny stopped the rot with a draw against Rochdale, but they blew 2-1 lead late on, which must feel like a kick in the balls. Got to go back to North Manchester next weekend and play Bury. Their away games look like where they might stay up or go down, huge 3 games for them. Oldham didn't play this weekend, they now have 2 games in hand, first one coming Tuesday against Swindon. Every game for them is massive now.

Fleetwood got a decent point away at Swindon, their home games are looking like the ones that will decide their league status. Blackpool got a win at home Southend. The fact that they have played 2-3 more than the 2 teams below them must have them a little concerned. They'll be hoping for away wins on Tuesday. Shrewsbury have blown their cushion and are right back in the mix. They have games in hand, but their run in looks brutal. They could easily get sucked back into danger, but still have the hope that 2 shocks wins might see them home. Chesterfield got a good win against Port Vale, 3 tough local derbies in a row for them now. Should be a tasty couple of weeks.

So yeah, we'll be lucky not to be down next weekend, Colchester fail to win at Blackpool and its curtains for them. Donny need a win next week otherwise they are in serious trouble and Oldham, Fleetwood and Shrewsbury are relying on their games in hand. Going to be a very interesting final few weeks to the season. Who's got the bottle and character to stay up I wonder?

Nope, I'm actively praying FOR IT to happen. I am going to be hoping that Oldham and Fleetwood win on Tuesday. Then, I will hope with every bone in my body that you destroy us next week, coupled with draws/wins for Oldham and Fleetwood again. Getting humiliated by our closest and most hated rivals(which to us, you are) and relegated in their stadium might(it won't, but hey, lets remain optimistic) wake some the deluded fuckwits we have in our club(fans and board members alike) how royally fucked we are.

But knowing us, this will be our final hurrah. We'll put in a spirited performance and get a result that will count for fuck all and we'll then go down it shitty fashion to either Scunny or Col U.

Our lads are on holiday, in fact our whole defence went at half time today. Your players won't want to go down at Vale Park at any cost so expect you'll simply want it more and get at least a point if not the three.

I want Vale to relegate us. Just to try and get change to happen. Not that it would change anything. Plus we've had a party at Vale park for the last few years its about time we didn't.

You seem a little confused,geographically.
Let me enlighten you:
Rochdale play in...Rochdale.
Bury play in...Bury.
NEITHER play in North Manchester.

Bit harsh to say we have blown our cover, given that one game was postponed and our unbeaten run of 9 games ended against Wigan who will probably go onto win the Title.
Also we never considered ourselves to be safe yet anyway. Biggest concern is not so much who the fixtures are against now but the fact our we have 2 CB on suspension and left back out due to a knee injury after yesterday. Still hopeful we will get the points though, as no team wants to be going down to league 2, believe me!

But when you drop you don't know you're gonna come straight back up.
And you have the embarrassment of being a non-league club to contend with.

I can tell it has been very much on your mind considering how it looks like Crewe are finally going to drop to League 2 !

Not really see it as an embarrassment looking back because very few teams have been able to bounce straight back, and when you look at who has dropped down in the past and who is there already it is not the stigma it once was. The season was actually quite enjoyable visiting new clubs, but would not have liked a 2nd season there and you have to get out first time when you have the parachute payment!

You worried the Crewe decline may continue and you do a Tranmere?

Yesterday's win have huge for us. I don't expect much next week at Barnsley but if we can see off Doncaster at home then that should just about do us (and them).

Not really sure how we'll fare IF we go down,to be honest.
Some of our fans think we'll struggle again and they may be right but if we can get hold of Vardy,Kane and maybe Neymar then I'm hopeful of atleast a play-off charge.

It's difficult to trust us at home given our appalling record this season, but you'd think that it's possible to cobble together at least four points from Bury, Sheffield United and Doncaster. That would give us fifty points even if we lost all three away which is perfectly possible if we play like we did at Oldham. I'd be surprised if anyone went down with that many points this season.

If a match could be bigger than a 6 pointer, then the matches against Oldham and Blackpool are those. Going to be crucial for all sides involved.

Never heard of it happening before but Fleetwood tickets were on open sale and they are now only onsale to season ticket holders until the 7th. Selling like hot cakes and we will easily sell our allocation regardless of the prices being extortionate.

If we are having this issue I can't even begin to comprehend what issues you will have when you play blackpool
