Yes, cap duly doffed to Shez on a job well done at Boundary Park.

As for us, that was pretty horrific stuff again. Donny, as expected for a team who really needed to win, threw the kitchen sink at us. During the first half we at least gave as good as we got, but if we replicate the 2nd half performance we won't get another point this season.

Despite that, a point was a fairly decent outcome as it means we probably only need to worry about one relegation spot catching up with us.

On to an out of form Swindon on Saturday. Again, i'll take another point.

Just to put it in perspective weslowski turned a contract renewal with us down to take the money with shrews. Summat not right when league 2 teams pay more than league 1

At the start of the season I put a fiver on Sunderland,Bolton and Chesterfield to get relegated as a wind up for my mates who are all season ticket holders at the clubs, never expecting there might be a chance of it coming in its worth £590 if it does,I've a feeling Chesterfield will will cock it up for me,never liked them Derbyshire folk anyway.

Oxford are doing their best to bottle it too. Think they'll end up losing to Pompey in the play off final.

So, if it's Oxford v Bristol Rovers in the final, who would you want to lose?

Maybe both will get beat in the PO semis. Dreamland!

Given the choice, I'd like Accy (local), Brizzlegas (Darrel Clarke's a good bloke) and Plymouth (always randomly quite liked them) up.

Nowt against Oxford or Pompey, but Norbiton Litterpickers can feck off.

And breathe

No matter what ya think of us or the man,you have to hold ya hands up and say Sheridan has worked wonders.

Will be a good summer for us hopefully and I'd actually put us as dark horses next time round for the play offs aka gills

Blackpool are garbage and will definitely go down. Toss up between us and Doncaster for the remaining spot but I think we'll just about drag ourselves over the line

Well done Shrewsbury, big support from all of Preston for pulling out that result.

I was about to get quite offended by that, but then I realised what you meant

Well done on the win Shrews, played the match like a WWE spectacle for most of it but somehow got the job done.

Well, final 2 weeks of the season and we know a few more things about the relegation battle. Colchester have now officially joined Crewe in League Two after going down 3-0 at home to Burton. Another club with a massive rebuilding job next season. At the other end, Oldham have confirmed their League One status for the 20th straight season. Bringing in Sheridan has been a masterstroke for them, totally turned their season around, fair play to them.

That now leaves 2 relegation spots to be decided between 5 teams. At the bottom of the pile is Donny. They have suddenly turned it on, picking up 7 points from their last 9. Still got it all to do though. Will 4 points from their last 2 be enough, or will only 2 wins do it? Blackpool couldn't win their relegation 6 pointer against Fleetwood. Now have a tough final 2 games to save their skins. Will they be hoping for a Shrewsbury win on Tuesday against Walsall, because that would confirm Wigan's promotion and might make their job a touch easier? Never rule out teams with their backs to the wall but I'm not sure if Blackpool have got it in them to stay up. Fleetwood could have done with winning today, but a draw isn't a killer. Playing a battered Walsall and a shocking Crewe side is a nice run in for them. Shrewsbury have a massive local derby against Walsall(well, kinda local) as their game in hand on Tuesday. Huge for them. A win would take them to safety. Can they do it? Chesterfield have next week to save their skins, home game against Bury to do it. In their hands.

So, who's joining Crewe and Colchester in League Two? Can make an argument for any of the 5. Don't rule anything out.

Chesterfield were very poor today I think they will have just enough points but they looked like a relegation threatened team today I don't know how we never won by more . Big summer for us the owner has show a bit more ambition in the transfer market to avoid another season at the bottom end.

A very unexpected and very welcome smash & grab win at Gillingham today.

One more win still needed though to ensure we're in League 1 next season so no grounds for complacency yet.

As I said in the week I hope Mellon is replaced this summer regardless of whether we survive and that is still my very firmly held view.

The problem is Novak now out for the season and the CB subbing in at RB now suspended. We won't score another goal never mind get another point, so it's entirely down to the teams below us as to whether they want to stay up.

Our team choice is playing multiple players out of position due to injuries and the tactics are woeful.

As others have said you were knickers today. Probably the worst team I've seen this season and I've seen us!!

Danny Wilson got his tactics badly wrong today, let us have possession the whole game and barely pressed at all.

Decent numbers today from Chesterfield I thought.

Today pretty much summed up our season. With Burton having wobbled a bit recently, I really feel we could have had a go at it going into the game, even with a team that wasn't our strongest (although in fairness I understand the decision to not play players who have pretty much confirmed their departures).

Haven't seen replays of them, but I feel that red card was questionable and Burton's first goal looked offside. Another thing that put a dampener on an already miserable day for me is how easily Burton's players seemed to go down - mainly Duffy and Palmer, although this was mainly before they got their first goal and the nerves settled a bit. I get that when you're on the cusp of a historic promotion you need to really seize every opportunity, but some of their play had more than just a hint of Tom Daley to it.

Don't get me wrong though, I certainly don't begrudge Burton their success and would like to see them in the championship - their promotion push this season reminds me of us in 2006 to an extent.

Thought Burton were much the better team today, but how much of that was influenced by the red card I don't know. I couldn't even believe he was going to book Edwards when he reached for his pocket, let alone to see him pull out a red. Laughable, but will wait to see the replays.

Also thought the first looked offside - Akins was near enough on the goal line when he scored and didn't appear to have made a run to get there either. Again, will wait to see a replay of that.

Donny vs Burton could end being like us at Colchester last season. Hopefully it ends better for them than it did for us.
