Wayhey Jacko has got the monkey off his back with the first win under his belt as Tranmere manager, albeit against a very young and lightweight but technically gifted Liverpool U21 side.
Liverpool were the better team at 1-0 with a peach of a free kick. Three quality finishes from Vaughan 2 and Payne saw Rovers over the line. Vaughan’s 2nd was yards offside.

We scored not just once but three times!!

Tears in my eyes

We've got Leeds U-21 or U-23 or whatever team at home in this tonight. The game has been brought forward 24 hours apparently at Leeds request - although i have a sneaky suspicion that we might be looking at one of their young strikers as a loan signing... no basis on that suspicion except they said they wanted in brought forward so they could play a stronger team - and tonight is transfer deadline day so we might be looking at getting one on loan if he impresses... I mean why would you bring it forward to allow them to play a stronger side unless you potentially benefit from it somehow....

Possibly to play some players that might be departing on international duty tomorrow? I think we'll get a loan striker in this week, but more likely from Blackburn.

I would have thought it would be in our interest to keep the original date then - if they had a weakened team - unless they could have postponed it.

2-0 down at HT against a tidy looking Leeds U-21 side, but both goals were from bad mistakes from Callum Gribbin. Leeds are playing a far stronger team than they put out against Accrington (10 changes) including Pascal Struijk who played the full PL game against Liverpool. Barrow have made 10 changes from the Carlisle game.

Go for it. Please.
Not sure what the prize pool is, but it is something semi-respectable from memory (as you progress). If our kids can get us the win and we secure a bit of money then I'm all for it (For this season only)

9 changes from Saturdays team. Darcy gets his first run out this season. Kian Le Fondre will be the youngest player in Boltons History if he gets on this evening at 15 years and 247 days.
Quietly fancy us at 9/2 or 16/1 to win 2/1

8 changes tonight but look very strong up top, Amoo and Pope make their first starts with Theo Robinson in a front three.

Looking at our team and it looks pretty strong, although I think that just says more about the depth we have as most don't start normally. I recognise a few in Swindon's line up. Joel Grant etc, so they must be going for it themselves..

10 changes for us. We've got a 15 year old, Jack Carter, starting tonight. Can't imagine there've been many younger then that in our history..

2-o down at half time.....Started slowly and a Howler by Taft playing the ball across his back line gifted them a goal.
Should of equalised straightaway. Then we get awarded a penalty and White missed the penalty. Vela is going round kicking everything that moves apart from the ball. Should of been booked for a bad tackle then goes through white.
White off injured. We then gift them a second another error from the back.
Shrewsbury are bullying our kids.
Comley is woeful

Write this match and competition off

Swindon have two 'Grant's and three 'Smith's in their match day squad today. Looking forward to the commentary on that tonight if they're all on the pitch together lol
