Worth a tenner on Brock or Reigns.

Bray at 13/1 looks pretty decent considering how Raw finished

I reckon Bray will come back to eliminate Brock with the rest of the Wyatts after they've all been eliminated, to set up a Brock/Bray feud.

When the odds drop to 1/6 - it generally means someone has got hold of the script and passed word on. I remember the WM odds last year suddenly fluctuating as the show got closer - against the trends of expectation from fans too. On that basis, perhaps they will give HHH one last title run? Could explain why he has perhaps had the best part of a month off and will help boost ratings on a depleted roster lacking star power and falling ratings.

£10 on Lesnar at 14/1, it's probably set in stone that HHH is winning, but sometimes when these things leak they change the result at the last second to throw us a curveball. Like Sheamus beating Jericho a few years ago.

Fantastic match I thought. Predicted the result correctly and to be fair I thought it was the right decision. A few feuds set up throughout the match too.

Pretty damned pleased with that PPV overall, happy I stayed up.

Owens vs Ambrose was as great as I hoped it'd be and that Rumble was entertaining all the way through and booked very smartly I thought. Even down to who eliminated who... letting Owens eliminate Styles, for example, to stop any massive fan backlash like the last two years. It felt like most of the big eliminations were well thought out, which is a nice change after they let Show and Kane slowly dump everybody decent out last year.

Triple H winning it? I guess it'll do, though I still think that match doesn't need the title at WM. They could have easily just had Trips eliminate Reigns and be done with it, that'd have been enough. But it is what it is, and I have to say as a bit of a Triple H fanboy it does feel pretty cool to once again have Triple H holding the gold.

And no matter what, it's certainly a whole lot better than how it went the two years previous...

It was well booked but a little too well booked in the sense that it was overly predictable. Yes, things made sense, but it was like watching a film of a book you've already read. I thought the booking of Reigns in the match was poor.

It felt like every 'Mania match was set-up in the Rumble match this year: Ambrose vs Jericho, Zayn vs Owens, Wyatt vs Brock, HHH vs Reigns. Bray Wyatt feels like a massive waste for Lesnar. Reigns having to beat HHH for the title when Bryan beat HHH in an opener before winning the title only a couple of years ago seems like regression. That match doesn't need the belt.

I thought Styles should have come in when the ring was full so he could hit his arsenal of moves, he hit a Pele kick and a springboard Superman punch and that was it. He took a beating for most of his time in there.

Ambrose and Owens were the stars of the show.

Even WWE would struggle to outdo the last two in terms of awfulness.

 This is true, but when Reigns went to the back injured and it became apparent that he wasn't going to show up until right near the end... I did actually start to fear that he'd win the fucking thing, which would have actually been the very definition of WWE outdoing themselves.

Also, R-fucking-Truth. Strap the WWE world title on him just for last night alone. He's fucking brilliant.

Sometimes predictable but sensible is the best way to go. It's booking 101 to have your top babyface challenging for the title (rather than defending) at WM, so the objective last night was two-fold: (1) get the title off Reigns without making him look bad; and (2) put it on a top heel who'll be a credible opponent at WM.

A combination of injuries and WWE's inability to create new stars meant they only had two good options: Hunter and Brock. I would have preferred Brock, but I can forgive WWE not wanting to risk a repeat of last year, i.e. a main event in which Roman is positioned as the babyface but is actually getting booed out of the building.

Triple H Vs Reigns is the story they've been telling for months. A title match at WM is the logical conclusion. We bitch and moan when they play silly buggers with continuity, so it seems unsporting to complain too much when they actually stick to a plan. As far as I can see, they've been building slowly to this ever since Rollins got injured in October.

The smarks will probably cheer for Hunter because they're idiots, but Reigns beating Hunter isn't as potentially problematic at Reigns going over an IWC favourite like Lesnar, Rollins or Owens. Less potential for a backlash, I reckon. Given the paucity of options (which is definitely partly their fault), this was probably the best option.

Very good, well booked PPV. Thoroughly enjoyable. Still don't think it will be Reigns vs HHH for the title as the WM main event. Doesn't make sense. Reigns with his 3rd title reign in 6 months? That's no way to 'finally' get anyone over, he is about as over now as he ever will be. A supposed 'babyface' will get booed out of the arena if they have that match. They will add a third party, or the Rock if they are going down that route - I don't think they will though, I think there's a bigger plot. Big pop for AJ Styles, big pop for HHH and when he elminated Reigns.

Owens/Ambrose easily MOTN.

Be interesting to see tonight's ratings and where they go from here.

Enjoyable PPV.

Ambrose/Owens was a fantastic match. Agree with that for match of the night. The other matches were all varying degrees of fine and the Rumble itself was well done. I was surprised at the reaction that Styles got. All the WWE fans must be secretly downloading and watching TNA because the sort of recognition AJ got doesn't tally with Impacts tv ratings!

I don't mind HHH winning the title either, they couldn't have Reigns overcoming those odds.

You have to wonder if the end goal is a WM shield reunion to help Reigns will the title. Especially if that comes with a heel turn (corporate shield). I have no idea where else the story goes with Reigns going over clean

Also concerned about Wyatt taking yet another loss to Lesnar.
That said, Owens vs Zayn will be the match of the night. I can can already imagine the video promo. "You and I, we're destined to do this forever"

The rumble was in Orlando I believe, which would go some way to explain it

A fantastic end to the Ambrose/Owens feud, I do hope they give Ambrose something better than an over the hill Jericho to work with at Mania. I wonder who The New Day will be paired with as well.

Great pop for Styles. Fair play to the bloke for going to Japan and making himself the biggest name in the business. Gave him a lot of leverage coming back to WWE.

Decent PPV on the whole, least the rumble was a improvement on previous couple.

Glad I got Triple H at 2/1 nice to finally win money on a wrestling bet! Wish I had done him at 11/4 was his best price I saw but better than nothing.

Im just not sure Roman/HHH and Brock/Wyatt is what I want to be seeing at Mania.

Just put in the weekly show thread WWE are teasing a major return tonight, hopefully when they say major they mean major.

Could be any of...Angle/Rock/Sting/Orton/Hardys. I don't think we will see Roman/HHH it makes no sense really to be for the belt and this feud has gone on long enough. Who wants to see the title degraded by having Reigns win it 3 times in 6 months? I usually regard the Raw after RR as only second behind post WM Raw as one of the ones to watch through the year, so tonight's should be interesting.

Imagine if you have those 3 matches and then Undertaker vs Strowman.

I can't think of word other than 'stodgy' to describe those matches.

Orton or Taker I think.

Well seems to be a lock that it will be HHH Reigns at Mania, unless they get that out the way at Fast Lane.

I was worried about last years mania after the farcical Rumble and that turned out okay so will give them chance.

In fairness, last night's show was miles better than most of what WWE produced (that I saw, I will add - which hasn't been much) throughout 2015 and better than last years RR, so here is hoping they come up with something. With Zayn, Owens, Ambrose and AJ Styles in the mix, you would have thought there will be enough back and forth entertaining matches on the card somewhere.
