Is it winning ugly or is that just the standard you are at? Maybe that's the way the manager wants to play. You seem to be getting some serious fucking luck I'll give you that.
We've gone more industrial this season, results over style.

Nowt to do with luck pal, hard work wins you games, neither goal was lucky yesterday.

Forest missing a pen, Blackburn scoring 2 perfectly good goals, how Birmingham weren't level at 1-1 I'll never know, your goal at wigan, your goal at Brighton. You have a quality squad I'm not denying that but you definitely seem to be getting the luck lately.

Missing a penalty isn't luck, Westys interview says he knew where to expect it go.

Blackburn didn't score two goals, and let's be reyt they were within 60 seconds so if one had gone in the other wouldn't.

7 points clear of 7th with a game in hand, looks pretty secure now for a play off place. Got to start looking up now, try and get beyond the rest of the play off teams and then see how far off the top 2 we are. It's a big ask but Burnley put together a similar run last season.

1 that crossed the line and the other what was no where near his hand they were two perfectly good goals.

Big win for us yesterday to settle the nerves a little and re-establish a healthier looking lead over third, albeit with a game extra played. Reading and Newcastle visit the Amex for our next two fixtures, certainly feels like it's getting to the crunch time now..

A big few weeks coming up at the top of the table, reading vs Huddersfield midweek, us vs Leeds at the weekend and I know Brighton and Newcastle all have 3/4 out of the top 6 to play in the next few weeks. That said I think the 6 that are in there now are too consistent for the chasing pack so I can't see it changing but this is football and anything can happen

When you're a good team you do tend to get more 'luck'. I remember when we were shite in this league we used to get the most blatant penalties turned down and plenty of other bad luck.

1-0 loss is a far better result than I was expecting. And with Derby/Sheffield Wednesday dropping points, along with Leeds/Norwich at the weekend, we haven't lost much ground at all.

Finally looks like McShane will be back for Saturday against Brighton, we've missed him.

You'll be sixth by Tuesday pal

You were saying? Doesn't matter anyway top 6 are done. Just depends who comes where between the 4 of you. I say 4 cos no way Hudders can keep it up till the end I don't think.

Come off it, you've logged on to discuss us again. I expected better pal.

Reyt being honest, Brentford far better than us first twenty then came the dodgy decisions and as we've benefited in recent weeks I'm not going to moan too much, from where I was it was a penalty for the foul on 1FF and not much later they scored from a debatable free kick, the second was not a corner either but we have to defend better.

Second half we huffed and puffed but they held out and deserved the points and fair play to the 200 or so Bees.

They had Cotterill doing your game on Sky and they kept going to it and showing highlights, two shocking misses from Fletcher and another (Winnall?) at the end.

We had no match or no match that had any affect on us tonight in our league. So naturally I would have an interest in your result. I've been logged on ages too, very boring night.

Absolute buzzing with that win in a game played in difficult conditions. Reading held the ball well and defended well, just lacked that cutting edge up top. Annoyed at how we fucked the penalty up but 3 points and pressure is still on the top two to keep ahead of us with Toon coming down next week.

What a team. We just keep finding a way to win. So much character after the disappointment from the penalty. Reading were tough to beat and it wouldn't have been an unfair result if they did hold on to a draw, they maybe gave us too much respect at times with some time wasting but with our form it's probably difficult to find the right balance when playing us at the moment.
Barring a Derby collapse we're surely in the play offs now, and with the extra game surely the only side that can threaten the top 2. Crazy.

I say 4 cos no way Hudders can keep it up till the end I don't think.

What is this based on, other than us not being a big club?
I'm certainly not saying we're gonna storm the top 2 but at the moment we're overcoming every challenge we're faced with, we keep surprising me! 4 points isn't much.

You're on an incredible run but I always feel they come to and and you will hit a sticky patch. I think maybe Newcastle and Brighton have had there bad patch and will both come on strong from now on. Only my opinion I've been wrong 100s of times and will be wrong 100s more. By the way I'd be delighted for you to go up , another club run in the right way and haven't got there by spending absolute fortunes. I hope you keep it up.

We had a bad spell around November time, only 1 win in 8 and conceded 11 goals in 3 games against Fulham, Preston, and Cardiff. We were horrendous at defending set pieces and kept getting caught on the counter (we lost at home to Wigan!!!). Since then we seem to have really learnt from that with a record of P13 W11 D1 L1 not including 3 very impressive cup performances.

We are dynamite at home, best record in the league now, energy from the stands is incredible, add that to the fact we are an really fit side with a clever manager who rotates and it's no surprise that we have won 7 games with goals in the last 10 minutes and haven't dropped any points through conceding in that time frame.

We still have some really tough fixtures, I think it's naive to just look at when the top 6 are playing eachother, I see fixtures like Brentford and Barnsley away as a just as challenging. Whatever happens, I've never seen a town as proud of its football club (on and off the pitch) as we are right now.

Hoping Brighton do the business tomorrow against Wednesday meaning we go to Villa Park knowing a win will take us 3 points outside the play offs!

Top two for me will be Newcastle and Brighton. But after watching them at Deepdale have to say Leeds are by far the best team I've seen this season and will be very very close to the top 2. Might even sneak in.

As for play offs. I think it will be Leeds, Derby, Wednesday and Fulham.

How wrong was i!!!

Fair play Huddersfield on the run your on! Bet Brighton and Newcastle fans aren't quite sitting as rosy up there at the top!

Not predicting anything anymore. Anything can happen.

Big ask but if we can win at Fulham then we'll be in a very good position to chase that 6th spot.

Still think we'll end up about 9th though.

Pretty massive game tonight, Brighton v Newcastle, a win would be huge for either side, a draw wouldn't be bad for either I don't think.
I'd like a Brighton win, if they do then we're 5 points behind Newcastle with a game in hand and play them at ours on Saturday evening... they look to have the toughest run in, and are without Gayle for a few more games yet.
