XG hurts my brain, so that table indicates to me what we already know that our strikers are indeed shite and we miss chances that we should be scoring?

You can’t ban someone from having a difference of opinion pal! ha.

In fairness you do seem to be on a slow and steady decline to going down. Maybe i’m wrong
Yeah if we go down its down to the likes of Bottega for not supporting the club and getting behind them. He does not even go away from home. He can get buggered. If you dont go away from home then you are crap

Intriguing stand point, but whatever works for you.

Not a pacifist at footy. If you are game then so I. I am a pacifist in all other matters. You are a Grade A twat with what you said about my club. You wont be laughing when Roots Hall gets burnt to a crisp. Poor old Ron Martin yesterday

Am I right that there might have been some League 1 history between Scunthorpe and Southend?

Our chairman has finally spoken out and told the fans to downgrade our expectations and has essentially said it's only going to get worse for us.

How excellent.

I thought our chairman might be out of shit to talk after his interview last night but he's back again tonight on the radio.

He says he doesn't know how to get the fans back, I mean having a team that wins more than 2 in 20+ games would be a start. Lowering the ticket prices so we're not paying ridiculous prices to watch the worst team in the FL.

He says we have a good squad, quite obvious why he thinks that because our chief scout is his son.

Down without a fight

Yeah and Orient are a cracking team. What the fuck have Orient done in recent years apart from be a shambles?
I wouldn't bother having a conversation with bobdaddyo as he is the most biased fan in the world. Every goal the opposition score according to him is a foul or offside and he spends all the time slagging opposition fans off when his own team are just as bad.

I've been doing a brain off kind of task at work today so I stuck the Iron Bru interview expecting to have a sly chuckle at the fact that despite us being below you we're in a much better position. While it is indeed true that we are now in a better position than you off the pitch I actually feel a slight pang of sympathy towards you and not the smugness that I put it on for. The parallels between Swann and Fenty have never been stronger. His stubbornly unwavering mentality that while everything isn't rosy it could be worse is what will kill you. The fans know the shit is hitting the fan and he is that dog in the room on fire like in that meme saying that everything is fine. Hearing him bang on about his "continued support" was like stepping back into last season...hang on wait, no it was like stepping back into a few weeks ago when Fenty had the gall to login to The Fishy post-match on a Saturday and claim that because we hadn't paid his loans off he had contributed to the new training facilities bought by our new owners. Two peas in a pod, these slimy fuckers. Local rivalries aside, you deserve better as fans and I hope you manage to get him out your club.

"Don't you dare put me in the same pigeonhole as Fenty, if someone wants to come in and spend the same sort of money as me I'd step aside. If I thought someone could come in and do a better job I'd step aside."

Absolutely textbook Fenty 101 that. If we had a quid for everytime we heard that highlighted part, we'd have the £200,000 back that he blackmailed out of our trust.

Both cut from the same cloth unfortunately, desperately denies that he's like it though. Unfortunately I am not sure we have buyers in the waiting like your lot did which puts us in a very dangerous position. Think we might be passing each other this season unfortunately, unless you stay down I don't think we will be getting a derby for a long time

We're 9 games into the season in a highly competitive league with at 3/4 clubs all out vastly outspending us, so let's not go overboard with the prospect of us bouncing back. There's a long way for us to go yet, but the early signs are good.

I guess the one positive is that he has written off his debts up until a point. The most ominous thing he said though was that "when I decide to leave" comment, which was met with absolute silence by the podcast presenters.

Your new owners seem decent, I believe they spent a bit of time with ours for advice and seemed equally genuine from interviews so hopefully you can turn your club around.

They did indeed and spoke very highly of them. Wasn't just the owners either, it was the new CEO and a few others they brought in and were very complimentary about their advice and encouragement. They did the same with Newport's and FGR's (I think ) owners I think too.

Thank you too, like I said early signs are very encouraging. Problems being identified all around the club, both on and off the pitch and measures being taken to sort them out.
