Thank God for the back-to-back away wins prior to this evening.

Spot on summary mate we could be in deep shit if we lose tonight.

Said it before I feel sorry for your manager, seems like he is just in an impossible situation. Will be the easiest thing in the world to sack him and replace him with another but it doesn't remove the real problem. Hopefully Walsall turn it round and for what it's worth I think you will just keep your heads above water.

Is it all set up for the Dazzler to send Walsall down? Could be the case.

It’s opened up now though, Carlisle weren’t terrible but you could tell they had a very inexperienced attacking line and Riley at right back was all over the place. Two misplaced passes for two of our goals.

Big win for Oldham and with Walsall losing that it’s dragged those two right into it.

Haven't listened to the interview so not sure of the context but it seems to me like he's trying to take the pressure off the squad. Whether it works or not I don't know but it's not the first time a manager in this situation would say something similar.
After tonight whatever sensible opinions we may have on things managers say to motivate players, his comments seem very much to have backfired. A number of 'Millen out' chants and people referencing that comment as evidence he's lost the plot.

Thought Colchester were a decent side, especially second half and last season they would have got their usual late point against us, but this season we were just too good for them.

After those results I came on this thread fully expecting it to be full of hellogregory posts and yet there are none, very disappointing.

He can't post yet as Carlisle's league position has almost caught up to his pessimism, so he needs to work his pessimism up to a new level. He can't be seen moaning about something that has actually happened (or is within one game of happening).

I wasn't in the right frame of mind to post last night. I didn’t even want to think about football after that.

It’s one thing to believe we’re going down, which I have for a while, but to see it unfold in front of your eyes is another thing.

That last night was a disgrace. Port Vale didn’t have to really do anything for their 3 points. It was pathetic. We are the worst team in the football league. The fact our defence and midfield has now turned to shit has just further cemented that status.

It’s absolutely devastating, it really is. We have absolutely nothing in our squad to stop this rot. Nothing. And we don’t have the manager either. We are going down and as I’ve said previously, with the way this club is run we won’t be back. There’s more chance of these owners taking us to the conference north than back up to this level.

First half I wouldn’t say you were a disgrace at all. In fact I thought Patrick for you guys on the wing was really good and each time he had the ball was a concern. Carlisle did fade notably second half though I would say. Your right back Riley will probably not want to watch the video back of that game and up front there wasn’t a huge threat from Sho Silva.

Still for me it’s Oldham and Scunny though credit where it’s due to the former since Sheridan has come in they’re certainly fighting.

Patrick looked decent and Windsor was good, the main issue with Windsor was the silly free kicks he was giving away but inexperienced that.

It was men against boys in areas and that was mainly down to the experience we had v a side with a few kids playing due to injuries wasn’t it?

I’ve seen worse sides than Carlisle this season just need to cut the errors and find more incisive passing up top.

The lack of reaction to conceding the shit goals. Just like an acceptance. It was atrocious.

Sho Silva is never a FL player. You have to fear for Carlisle they are well and truly in it now.

Anyone who does go down will find it very difficult to come back.

Millen will be gone by the end of the season, they'll bring someone in as an interim who was a popular player once and knows the club, like that bloke from Annan.

I’d take either of them right now.

Millen isn’t saving us, he just doesn’t get it. We need someone who gets the club, someone who can galvanise the fanbase and get the players realising that going down is actually a disaster, not just like any other relegation between the leagues.

We need to take a leaf out of Barrow’s book last season. They appointed jolley in the middle of the season but soon realised they’d made a big mistake and did what was necessary to save their season.

BBC radio Cumbria commentary said that it was the best port vale side he’s seen.
but to countenance that it was definitely the worst Carlisle team I’ve seen.
I honestly think that Scunthorpe are better.
The vale fans on here are quite kind, even when they equalised it didn’t feel in doubt.
Yes the winger was ok and had a go, the rest were awful.

I thought Scunthorpe and Carlisle had similar issues to be honest. Neither looked threatening enough to really worry us but had some bits of quality in other areas.
